I'm also pretty free at BB and I'm only good amongst my friends who don't even play the damn game. It's so sad. But I'd like to play people in the area.

I'm far closer to Cary area but keep check here or at SRK for game sessions. I'm guilty of not being to one for a while but yeah! It's always a good idea to play others to better yourself.

I should probably try to stay more active on here. And I agree, I learn so much more when I'm getting destroyed by someone then I do when I play the game and not put their hearts in it or buy the game for that matter. Sad thing is, I'm on of the few people I know who actually have the game.

CeruleanEdge125 Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 From what I've seen while lurking in the thread, your best bet is the gatherings held at Jon's place, but there's more about that on SRK than here. I believe the Wolfpack Gaming club held gatherings occasionally in the Wolves Den, but I haven't heard much about it as of late (and generally it was more Marvel, SF4, and some Arcana). I wish I wasn't in Greensboro right now or you'd at least have one person to play with since I'm a State student too...

So I'm going to be searching around for players around there. I hope to become a regular at Rock 'Em Sock 'Em in Concord, those are some really great tournaments. Hopefully I can meet up with some of you guys in a upcoming tournament.

But I've been messing around with Makoto lately, she's pretty fun even though the charge combos take getting used to.

Between KOF (which I haven't played in a while), SCV, and Skullgirls, I'm not really too sure who plays what in the majority and the best way to play with others. Not to mention the no ride situation and being in South Goldsboro doesn't help. SCV's netcode is pretty good, but how is Extend's? But honestly I don't think that should even be a factor for you..... you've already got good people to play against in person. D: speaking of which.... I miss NC. GA's fighting game scene seems like non-existent the further you get from ATL (and I'm like 4 hours away. lol).

Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 BB was made to be played online, and as some of the higher ups in the community have mentioned, the fact that it has a strong netplayer community has actually hurt it in the tournament scene, so I would assume Extend has good netcode. Rob, I haven't retooled my connection for online play since the last time I had to reinstall my router software, so that might have been the cause of it. Too bad, cuz I've been looking forward to playing people.

Pretty excited about the eventual release of AC+ on PSN though. I mean, it's not going to be great online, but anything that gets people back into Guilty Gear is a good thing. Also, if anyone near Boone happens to read this, we have weekly fighting game gatherings these days. Fridays, 5:00PM till 11 or whenever people have to go. Currently, the main games people play are UMvC3 and Melty, but there's interest in other stuff too. Get in touch with me if you want to know more.

Hands down the most enjoyable character in this game for me.
