BladeOfJustice7 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Yea I didn't realize I was posting in the Critique thread. I autopilot in life too much. Definitely not the best challenge ┐('～`；)┌ . Anyways, yea I tried it about 10 times then I said "fuck it" and quit. But the Zantetsu challenge I found to be the most useful, since I found various ways of applying different parts to that combo into other combo starters, and I've been able to expand the combo in the corner for almost 5k without shippu. So other than mission 14/15, challenge mode as actually useful in extend. Good work ArcSys.

I'd like someone who has more experience to take the role of general strategy and such. shtkn, are you looking for anything else besides those two sections?

Indigo would be able to do the combos well but what do you want on the wiki and what do you want here on the forums? If you have a format that you would want all BB wiki pages to adhere to, that would be great. Just give me some information on how you want things to be done and I'll fill the general specifics for beginners. Also, good job WallJumpMan on the stellar performance and massive beatdown. I'm guessing they want us to make hakumens section more comprehensible and gives a thorough run down of all his moves and options. I wouldn't mind helping out with it though. Anyone caught Spark at BlueRevo qualifiers?
IndigoNovember Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 This is just me, but it kinda felt like Spark was someone who can run the player matchup really well, whereas WallJumpMan can run the character matchup really well. If Spark got enough experience against a person he could easily win, whereas WallJumpMan didn't necessarily need to rely on that to win. These are just my thoughts though. Good job to WallJumpMan for doing well at the qualifiers. Best of luck in Japan. Hope your pictures with maids at a maid cafe turn out well (＾∇＾) . As for the combos, they'll be slowly added since it is currently getting near the end of the quarter at university for me and so I have to go work full throttle on my quarter long project, a game made in XNA. Just giving people a heads up as to why my progress is a bit slow. After that though, I'll have plenty of time to add stuff.

SansProtocol Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 It's best not to mix matchup talk for different versions of the game as there are many changes to the cast in between games. Matchups can alter quite drastically and it's best to keep info separate.

He surfs the boards frequently enough. And modship shouldn't be a reward. If people are only pandering for the position, it's not the ones that will last or be quite good in the long run. I'm just happy there are players to teach and room to always improve. EDIT: I appreciate the nod, though. Thanks!

mAc Chaos Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Anyway, matchup wise, I don't nearly have the same experience with all the new characters and matchups with every iteration as I used to, but I still have enough to have a firm grasp of Ragna, Tager and Lambda, I think. So if you guys want me to help with any of that, let me do those three and you guys work on other ones that you think others can't fill in as easily. Although I still need some real Extend experience... I guess the Haku mirror is one I could do too.

As far as matchups go: Ragna, lambda (more and more everyday), valkenhayn, mu12, relius, platinum (hasn't changed much since cs2), and somewhat bang. EDIT: mAc for sure has the mirror skills, I'm ass against hakumen players I think that we will all be able to fill in holes. I know Montreal has a good amount of people to get EXP from. I don't have a ton of great players that all sorts of characters in my area, but the matchups I'll be doing are from solid sources. And I'll probably be helping mAc as backup on the mirror match as I have a lot of EXP with the Haku players here in Florida.

That's probably one of the best things I've ever read. But my experience comes from offline/online play (no one mains a good valk from what I've seen in mtl nor a gimmicky/random ragna). With that said I'm off to sleep for a few hours, and wake up to finish off my paper due at 1 p.m. later, haku-vamps. LAST EDIT: I like mAc's nominations. Though Nolan doesn't have as much free time as you may think
