oh well, some of bang's punishable stuff on block will have gone away and him having a 5 frame jab will still rape blockstings that can't be touched by most of the cast.

i guess it'll be less braindead this time around, but still noticeable.

ragna pressure won't be as free to beat anymore :(

eirei, is it alright if you translate the two Belial Edge lines for Ragna? I want to see if the way I translated it is accurate or somewhere near.

Angle on BE was changed (probably more downwards), making it harder to hit with all hits.

There's now a motion with Ragna moving backwards at the beginning of BE, harder to hit with.

Nah we still can 720 you, just not as many 360's.

yeah pretty much this

all we need is a one frame hole, anything with could 360a before we can likely still 720.

overall, just the actual system changes are really good and imo will improve the game a lot.

Doesn't matter since that move is -38 on block anyways.

you could barrier ib rachel's 2C in CS1 and punish it with Tsubaki's A Sanctus Decus (max charge)

but couldn't do it before hand,

wow what a change (for the better). i'm a bit worried that some things might be too strong on block now, but i guess we'll see...

also to everyone who wants this game to be guilty gear... why wait? go play guilty gear! might as well hope that SSF4 arcade edition plays like 3S or CVS2.

All I ever did on Reload was mash out basic gatlings and then mash out a special or a super and pretend I was some kind of deity. And I still won.

I still do it today.

Did they add fun to the list of changes yet?

From what I heard, they nerfed fun for Tao, and Tager got a huge fun buff.

Tager was always fun, they added "small viability" buff.

IMO here are the current fun levels of each character at this point. Ratings go through 5 levels (1 = not fun, 2 = kinda fun, 3 = fun, 4 = very fun 5 = super happy fun time or super-fun)

Ragna: Fun

Jin: Super-fun

Noel: Not fun

Rachel: Fun

Taokaka: Not fun

Tager: REAL SOVIET FUN (Special level - 6)

Litchi: Fun

Arakune: Kinda fun

Bang: Fun

Carl: Very fun

Hakumen: Very fun

Lambda: Kinda fun

Tsubaki: Fun

Hazama: Fun

Mu: Kinda fun

Makoto: Kinda fun

Valkenhayn: Fun

Platinum: Super-fun

Didnt they sum up litchi as "still very strong"? I'm guessing she's still super fun (if you're playing as her that is). Does...bang have any other changes? He's been so under the radar in terms of discussion i forget if he even lost anything lol.

I don't think we know enough about Lambda, Noel, Makoto, Tsubaki's changes to say much of anything. Information is rather lacking, especially regarding how they're supposed to combo now (drives, normals/haida chains, corner stuff got changed around, ijdk).

Tao probably has new combos? Hopefully?

Most of the cast just seems overall more solid. The loketest seems pretty balanced, from what people are saying, with a few chars lagging and a few chars coming out ahead. We'll have to see what gets discovered.

Like how the hell Haz 6C works now. :kitty:

I hear 3S in the back of that video that was posted. Lambda's 4B is extremely slow now, it'd be sad for one not to be able to react to that, and lol @ her GS not making the opponent float on hit.

Lol i thought it was just me, dat Elena there's another one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhMD4b52bKY). I know they're from test 1 but i dont really remember Bang changing all that much in subsequent tests. I wasn't really watching that for Lambda...i was watching it for Bang...everyone on about Tager, Jin while Bang is probably still relatively kinda sorta strong as fuck. I play jin im accustomed to the corner, i think Stunedge said the "vision" for Bang was a strong corner game.

@No limitz, yeah its an older loketest but i decided to actually watch and pay attention to what the bang was doing this time around lol.

Lambda's 4B has much more hitlag (miss the first hit if you want it to connect -_-), and gravity seed is weird, forces some sort of long crouch state? I'm not sure off the top of my head.

Bang looks like he's still pretty legit.

Looked through the old threads

For Bangu

Test 1

* 5B slower start up

* 2C slower start up, reduced a level, techable on ground hit

* FRKZ 2C knocks down

* 2B>5B gattling added. (cannot reinput 2B)

* Heavenly phoenix thrust no longer wall bounces for both air and ground, slight wall bounce in/near corner

* 3C is techable

* 6B is techable on ground hit

* Ashura slower start up, invincibility lasts until just before startup, has become a joke DD

Test 2

forward throw slides, more damage, follow up in corner

+ 2D JCable on block

- Less untech time on 6A

- FRKZ backward dash is shorter

Test 3

- 6B causes stun. No followup without RC.

+ 5B level increased.

Dont feel like searching the 4th thread but i remember 2D JC on block or something.

Final

* 5A is still good

- Daifunka's recovery is longer, can no longer be followed up.

Yeah he dodged some bullets.

@GGJ, the 9th is right around the corner.
