Dr. eirei diagnoses a critical lack of jump cancels in this combo.

if we can get a few MORE damage nerfs, redo noel's drive from the ground up, remove arakune and tech rolls from the game, and by god we'll have ourselves a new toy to play with!

If he could land GH>5B>5D or GH>5B>5C after Throw, it wouldn't bother me so much.

... He can land GH > 5B > 6A.

Like he ALWAYS could.

And he can still jump cancel 6A.

So there is ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM.

I hate to say it but I am slightly hype for this game, Trolling is gonna be way easier than ever before and the best part is everyone will go back to hating tager again.

Mind clarifying this, then:

"- 6A cannot gatling into anything anymore"

I misunderstood it to mean all its good for is anti-air>jump cancel. If it can be cancelled IN TO (i.e. 5B>6A), but no normals can cancel FROM it (i.e. 6A>3C on block)...that'd help clarify.

6A can't gatling into anything.

But from what I know that doesn't mean anything can't gatling into 6A. If I recall correctly, they still kept the 5B > 6A gatling.

I like the tech roll system of the game. It makes it have a different feel than other fighters. There are already a ton of ways to punish rolls anyway. That's why you have to neutral tech most of the time.

There should be a dizzy meter in the game. It starts out empty and drains slowly.

Every time you tech roll, it fills up, and the drain speed decreases for a while. When it fills up completely, you become dizzy and your controls are inverted.

Man, ASW should totally hire me. I'll go mail my ideas to Mori right now.

I feel the game NEEDED damage nerfs, i hope that's not contested. The game as a whole though really favored the defensive for the longest time, I can't say for sure if ti'll be like that after these balance patches, but if it is we're gonna be dealing with a lot of time-outs for a lot of match-ups. Give characters true-oki instead of turning most wake-ups into guessing games, and you'll allow the game to be more offense oriented without rolling over people's defense. At the moment, a lot of characters just have to sit and watch to see what the person on the ground is going to do. Sure they can follow a roll in an attempt to get the wake-up pressure they earned, but a lot of them deserve to be able to set-up some kind of meaty. I miss being able to do overheads on some1's wake-up you know? As opposed to just chasing down fuckers with 2A, or trying to figure out if they neutral teched, or quick teched. You're taking away waaay too much power from the person on offense, while arbitraily giving it to characters like ragna or litchi who just have all encompasing moves that will eat any tech. Even that though is removing the thought process just to get someone to block.

They were trying to keep Brawl from being competitive.

moving on, I am digging the system changes, tager will actually start being decent, IB nerf won't hurt his IB 720 game too much and finally something new to bitch at when a top tier shows up.

Brand new game, brand new things for DL to whine about.

At least the stuff CS2 is bringing sounds pretty interesting. I wonder what other surprises Mori has.

He's also somewhere in Japan sitting in an office chair, his hands folded Gendo Ikari style and only one thought on his mind- KEIKAKU DOORI.

I'm also still hoping that they make Rachel's 5CC a corner bound thing, but... her throw is fine. I'll actually have to learn tick throw setups now.

With this many changes in gameplay, I HIGHLY doubt console gets a patch let alone a free update.

Still a balance patch.

Just some pretty hardcore balance changes. We didn't know what to expect anyways, they had talked a lot about a (originally presumably free) patch, and they can't make the game different from the arcade version. So...
