Makoto at least needs to use more than two moves once the combo starts. Watching someone dash cancel silencer over and over again to push the downed enemy across the screen hurts my brain.

That's probably why it worked. Sometimes more reckless play works, especially if your opponent is only used to more safe and controlled play. It won't hold up in the long run though.

Pretty much. Mashing counters and getting lucky catches =/= Being good with the character. I lol'ed at the end when Rachel killed him for it.

He was just mashing counters to random out that arakune. He tried to do the same thing to the Rachel and got destroyed. Being reckless is cool now and then. He was just mashing that drive button. Counters are just really hype and when they see someone land a bunch of them people get excited. Literally everytime he was under pressure he was hitting D, fuck blocking. I was like, wtf, am I watching American play?
pktazn Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I agree the Rachel was better but when the Hakumen got his chance (lucky or not) he definitely took it. There are better Hakumens out there but he's not bad himself when he's not hoping his opponent will fall for a random D counter.

Tsubaki's looking pretty stylish too. Her charge changes help a lot, and now she can corner carry it seems. Can't wait for that. And Jin. Definitely the NOL group are picking up their game this time around.
