For more information about Final Round XIV please go to the following thread: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?10071-March-11-13-2011-(FINAL-ROUND)14-New-Era-of-HYPE!-Atlanta-Ga.

With the recent debate about what game should be the Saturday Event at FRXIV, I decided to take a poll in order to let the players decide. Since Dustloop is the main hub for both GGXX and BB, this is the smartest place to post it. The Saturday game will most likely be aired on the main stream. Regardless of what game is chosen, I am still planning on making sure there will be casuals setup for both games for most of the even.

A few issues to take into account with placing of these games:

GGXX has been a long time staple in FRXIV and has helped raise a significant fan base for the game.

GGXX is also an older game that many people do not get as hyped about anymore.

BB is a newer game that has recently brought in bigger numbers then GGXX recently has.

Many people also complain that BB is shallow and the old school GGXX players have no interest in the game.

Either way guys, we are letting numbers do the talking here so go ahead and tell your friends to vote for what game you want to see in the Saturday slot. The game that receives the least amount of votes will be scheduled on Friday.

Big Shoutout to ShinBlanka for once again giving us the power to decide. Final Round for life yo!

Of course, the GG/BB players who are actually ATTENDING (or are possibly attending) Final Round are most encouraged to vote-- not just random people who simply like or play either game (AKA voting based on popularity, bias, etc). Dishonest voting/creating new accounts just to vote should also be discouraged...

Regarding GG having smaller turnouts than BB at fairly recent events: IIRC, last year's FR had more entrants for GG than BB, as well as NEC and FF's (?). Also, SB's, NCI and other fairly large events had good turnouts for GG, as well -- sometimes, quality is better than quantity, IMO.

It seems that GG truly is making a comeback, so if the players feel that running GG on a Saturday will help bring in more numbers (I do), please vote ^_^

I would like to commend the FR staff for catering to the players; not many majors do that nowadays -- especially not here on the WC (i.e. EVO)...

Afaik the only non WC tournament where BB's numbers were bigger was Season's Beatings this past year. Every other major had GG getting more entries. Hell, 2 people total signed up for BB teams at NEC, while GG teams had 12 teams of 3 (that's 48 people for those of you who don't want to do math). It's pretty clear which game is more popular on the east coast.

BB should be on Saturday.

I like GG too and will be entering that.

Really, whatever loses the vote should still get top 4 or top 8 streamed.

just a quick question... aside from being streamed or not is there any other reason to prefer to have either game on saturday (like will some ppl be able to make saturday but not friday or something?)

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, sir. This will be my third year (in a row) at Final Round, and that game is the reason I started going to begin with. There are few events where this game is one of the main events, and Final Round is one of the best (if not the very best) of such tournaments. HEAVEN OR HELL!

Alot of people will only be able to make the weekend and not Friday so... ya you hit the nail on the head Mike =D

Considering the date seems to only matter for stream - As someone who can't make it, but, will be watching, I'd muuuuch rather watch the GG stream, than BB.

Voted for GGAC; my favorite fighter, and the game that got me into tourney play. Money's tight this year so I might not make it down, but I will try to get to FR (I've made it the past two). FR always has a good turnout for GG

Heidern thanks in advance for running these games once again

ShinBlanka thanks for giving us the choice

Ky-Sama thanks for the pm. I didn't notice this thread so I might have missed the opportunity to vote if you hadn't told me about it. I'll pass the word on.

GG all the way. What other game can satisfy my desire to throw butterflies at people?

I voted GG because I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to make it that Friday, as I have a test that day at 10am, and if I had to choose, I'd rather play Guilty Gear.

Going to be closing this poll soon so make sure to let everyone know to get there votes in. Thanks guys =D
