Even if they changed her entire playstyle (Which they would never do) I'd still use her. I'll also never stop using Tsubaki, Valkenhayn and Rachel. But I can't wait to add Platina to my roster. :D

I would choose ragna... but he changed enough that I wouldn't really have an advantage picking him over tager (tried him in CS2 I'd need to spend some time to figure out more stuff with him)... Plus, if I've noticed anything about tager in BB, its that whenever a new rendition of BB comes out tager is top tier for a week since his playstyle doesn't change at all while everyone else's does. So you stand a chance since people have to cope with their changes while you don't. This is the only reason that while I was still pretty bad I was able to beat NAS and butters in CS at an arcade when the game just came out. Still I really hope I can play platinum in the tournament, kinda was hype to try and take a victory for plat at (what I think is) the first EC CS2 tournament.

Because he's my Get-Out-of-Jail free card, plus I've been using him since CT and winning local tournaments with him ever since. Platinum will be my female Ragna. I know, I know, they all have a purpose, but Hammer leads to BS damage loops/primer breaking, Bat is a gdlk reversal but it's telegraphed, etc. etc. it's not an equal playing field IMO, so far I'd say the Cat Mace seems kinda meh, the range is nice and all, but it looks like it doesn't really lead to anything other than oki. Even Momo'd, the range is ridiculous, but it's not a slidehead, or a super-kawaii-kitty-missle-of-death.

All of her items are situational, Sure there may be some items that are bad against certain people, but that just means you have to find new, creative ways to use them.

You may not be able to follow up into anything after it but the cat can knockdown your opponents. Also, if they do manage to block it, the item/you can't be easily punish. Even In Momo'd, it is no Slidehead or Giant Missiles. However, It is a Giant Lion Head!!!!!!which has got alot of range, increase damage and the move is very quick. I agree, none of them are bad, but the Cat doesn't break two primers, beat spark bolt or have invicibility. And the range on the Lion is absurd no doubt, I can't wait to bash a Lambda over the skull with it for whiffing 5D :D Bombs are kinda meh too, but that blockstun is pretty legit...

It's still hella fun to interrupt pretty much anything the opponent throws out, especially Carl. And it has an eyepatch, which shows you the sheer amount of Jubei fangirl-ism in Platinum. The worst item for me is the pan, but that's just because I still haven't learned any pan-specific combos, and trying to mash it as a poke doesn't lead to anything good. Man, I got a long way to go.

LeFartknocker Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 All of anyone's moves are good for trolling Tager. with few exceptions *cough*Noel*cough cough* Pan specific combos hurt though, and the Fan has dumb range too... it does it's job as a combo extender and for overheads with j.D. The Pan and the Hammer definitely seem to give her the best damage output out of all her items. With all Plat's situation-specific combos, I'm probably gonna spend most of Day 1 in training mode getting all that shit down, lol...
