Kuuhaku Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Hi. I have the full BB Teams bracket on my laptop. I already posted top 3, but I'll post the full result when I get home. Shoutouts to Texas crew, Canada crew, and Norcal/Socal crew. It was nice meeting you guys and I wish I played more casuals. Shoutouts to my team in BB for getting OCVed by Tager. I'm super terrible with remembering names, but I did have a lot of fun at EVO. I'd definitely would like to go again next year. :3
Leo7 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Uh too many names to list, so I'll just say it was really nice meeting everyone from PNW, Socal, Norcal, and Texas. I was one of the two Valkenhayns (along with Zeero) from Toronto/Canada for those who don't remember. The tourney itself was run rather smoothly, and casuals in the PNW room were really fun, thanks for inviting us Huey! Definitely coming again next time! Just wish I got to play more GG. Special congrats to Spark and LK for going all the way with their top 8 performances! You guys are both robots. Oh and <3 Kayo Police
C0R Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Alright, here we go. Shoutouts to Bohemian Polka, Chun and Johnny for helping Huey and I run the team tournament, it took a lot of work, but everything turned out fine in the end. Shoutouts to Kidviper and Kensou, hanging out with you guys all Friday night was great, you're both very knowledgeable about fighting game design, and excellent players to boot. Shoutouts to EVERYONE borrowing my stick over the course of pools and the team tournament. Shoutouts to Zong_One for being unfindable for casuals. Shoutouts to LK running the PNW gauntlet in our room, and for his performance at Evo this year. Extra Shoutouts to Coopa for sharing with me the dark, evil secrets of the Tager matchup. It caused me to understand your vast experience with fighting games, and I'm sure I'll improve as a player because of your advice when I apply it in all sorts of different ways. Shoutouts to Crossel, OrionXElite and Whiteboywilly for being chill and Burger King, you guys are fun to talk with. Shoutouts to Canada Crew, Maple Syrup Tribute is pretty godlike. Shoutouts to Texas, Yuushiro especially, great playing with you in casuals, you learned the matchup very fast. Shoutouts to BrokenTier for being cool and selling me the last Murakumo shirt. If you're one of the hundreds of people I spent time with, thank you. You all made my EVO experience amazing. The FGC makes me so happy, and I'm so appreciative of all the good friends I've made, especially those coming from norcal who support each other through the tournaments and improvements we all go through. Thanks again guys.
PozerWolf Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 So many people introducing themselves with usernames, yet I can't recognize them all (I guess at this point, adopting my nick name as Poser was the best idea, lol). Shout outs to those I ran into. So many people to talk with, it was a constant run around. Wish I had more casuals in, but maybe for another time. Have a lot of fun! :D

Hope to see or hear from you guys soon, add me if you want to as well. Next time, I'm bringing AXIS with me, even if I gotta drag his ass out of the house so we can have some GDLK commentating for the crowd next time.
Sol-Bumguy Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 (edited) I thank everyone who entered the GGXX: AC side tournaments at EVO and congrats to the winners (RF, Elvenshadow, AKA, Hellmonkey, Marline Pie, etc.). Obviously, many things went wrong and I understand that some are angry, but if Ky-Sama & I ever get the chance/honor to do it again (or at least help a great bit), I am certain that things will be A LOT BETTER, and with many back-up plans in place. I also thank those of you who helped us with calling/finding people, using the laptop, etc... I was the female HOS player/"twin". For the first time in nearly 2 years, I saw a HUGE GG crowd (around 100 people!), and it was such a great feeling...to see SO MANY people getting together, waiting for casuals, watching, cheering and getting hype in general-- for a supposed "dead" game! I know EVO is big, but I have not seen numbers like that in a while-- not even last year. LOL, you know there were a lot of people when the EVO staff+UFC TO's were complaining about us being too close to their set-ups, etc <3 <3 Also a BIG THANKS to the gentlemen at the Broken Tier booth for creating more hype by allowing us to set up near/at their booth! Sanoshi: Thank you soooo much for allowing us to use your laptop for singles <3 Also thanks a lot for helping call people^_^ I wish we could have hung out, and you should be happy that we did not team up (we played awfully...). I hope we will meet again, soon <3 Hellmonkey: Thank you for helping with teams and being so patient+kind <3 Congrats, and I hope you had fun with your prize money... Jo: Sorry that my HOS failed you.... but great job during singles, I hope you had fun in Vegas <3 Polyfreeze: Thank you for bringing a set-up and being helpful in general. You were so uncertain about entering your first tournament, yet you did A LOT better than you thought. Your Axel has a lot of potential, take advantage of it! Elvenshadow: Thank you for the great matches; I was very nervous to play you...Your Faust is GDLK and congrats on your placement. You were also very kind and chill^_^ Shtkn: Thanks for trying to help, and nice seeing you again^_^ Wish I could have played that awesome Ky <3 Honnou: It was nice to meet you, wish we could have played, but congrats placing so high in teams^_^ The ABA Player in casuals: Thanks for the great matches, your ABA is GDLK, but sorry about being so auto-pilot, I was tired... Congrats on placing so high during teams^_^ PhaethonH: GG's in casuals, even though your May made me angry:( You seem like such a nice guy Scott Thank you for being so kind and being concerned about the tournament, I saw that business was great at the booth <3 Mike Z: Nice seeing you again, thanks for entering! FRC Flying Johnny: Even though I hate Johnny, it was nice to see you again, and thanks for the talk...it made us feel a bit better-- come to AZ someday <3 Teyah: It was nice meeting you...sorry about what happened, and great job in Marvel <3 Sorry about being so weird, very shy. I would have loved to play (even though you use Eddie), but I had no time. The Canadians: So sorry about how things went with the GG tournament...You guys have no idea how awful I feel for you guys. But I hope you had fun in the USA, and did great in BB+other games. Take care, guys <3 BlueNINE: Sorry about being a jerk, just trolling, and great job leveling up <3 Marlin Pie: Sorry about what happened during teams, and it was nice seeing you again-- stay GDLK <3 <3 The kind Canadian who donated most of the $300.00 pot bonus: Everyone is very grateful towards you, and your donation did EXACTLY what you wanted it to do; it created more hype, drew in more players (even Japanese) and made GG look like much more than a mere "side event" <3 Thank you so much! Everyone else that I played/met: GG's, even though I played only 2-3 people outside of tournament matches. It was nice seeing everyone again, and I hope that all of you will continue to play GG (we had RF, the SBO champion, as well as many strong, OG players)-- GG is still hot and there is hope for it, as long as we support it <3 Edited August 4, 2011 by Sol-Bumguy
Polyfreeze Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Polyfreeze: Thank you for bringing a set-up and being helpful in general. You were so uncertain about entering your first tournament, yet you did A LOT better than you thought. Your Axel has a lot of potential, take advantage of it! Thanks for your kind words. Your OS is scarryyy. You and your sister did a great job with the tourney. You kept your cool throughout the chaos, where others would have capsized. I hope you found your Marvel poster. I looked all around the booth, but couldn't find trace of it. Thanks to everyone else for the great experience at this years Evo. I barely started playing fighting games, but I was given great advice by some great players and am very excited improve. EVERY HUMAN SHOULD OWN A SONY PVM MONITOR.

Kuuhaku Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Wtf I thought you guys were Team Toronto Seniors >_> Lol. They originally signed up as that, but came up afterwards and said they wanted to change their team name. Some teams didn't have names, so I kind of made them up on the spot to make things easier. For example- Heartnana's team went like this: Me: Do you have a team name? Heartnana: Not right now. Me: Ok. *types in Not Right Now*
Jason D. Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Oh, the Noel player on my team was Kusanagi. And he definitely deserves some attention for his solid play.
HeartNana Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Me: Do you have a team name? Heartnana: Not right now. Me: Ok. *types in Not Right Now* That worked for me, but I kept getting it confused and thinking we were team "Not Ready Yet" hahah
DioBrando Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Shoutouts to everyone I met. Had a real fun time at EVO and Vegas. So much hype!! 13th- We Love Kayo Police More: Leo7 (Valkenhayn), Zeero (Carl), Kousaka (Arakune) 13th- We Love Kayo Police: Dio Brando (Hazama), X-Sapphire (Tsubaki), K2 (Rachel) Ahaha! The power of love is equal between the two team as it did not take them far enough.
gli Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 17th- HEB+: Skyking (Noel), gli3 (Rachel), Tacky (Jin) Shoutouts to Tacky for OCV'ing teams for us lol. You are a good Jin let's play more :D
Zeromus_X Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 17th- Team Awesome: John (Tsubaki), Jimmy (Tager), Justin (Ragna) I'm pretty sure Justin (aka Hateraid) played Bang, unless he just massively trolled everyone.
