Sphere211 Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Is that scar on his chest from the shadow in early P3 or from Teddie? Or something else.
glod Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 People have speculated that the scar is from the Shadow at the beginning of P3 but whenever he's shirtless later on in P3 he has no scars so I don't really know.
njmamm Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Soo...I'm guessing we'll see Evoker use in supers? Just like P4 cards, right? Sounds like it's gonna be real cool... XD
FormerlyUnknown Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 akihiko looks a little too muscle-head there for my tastes, but mitsuru is going to be fun
Katsu78 Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Just noticed that Akihiko has some sort of counter above his SP Gauge. Wonder what that does?
LunaKage Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Couple of interesting additions. This game is looking more and more awesome by the day.
BlueSky Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Just noticed that Akihiko has some sort of counter above his SP Gauge. Wonder what that does? Can't see it clearly... but it looks like a tornado with "Lv" next to it. Maybe it powers up a special or a super? XP
njmamm Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Ooh! Maybe he's like Order Sol! Makin' his specials spinnier and shit. I mean, when I look at a tornado and think of Akihiko, I imagine him doing boxing twirls and fists of justice. ...Or something like that. :o
SolxBaiken Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 His Garu gauge is probably similar if not the same as Yukiko's Agi gauge. Also Akihiko's always been a muscle head, and you all have to realize it's been 2 games and like 2 years for those 2. But it makes me wonder about Trinity Souls' viability in canon.
SoWL Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Why would Akihiko have a Garu gauge when he's a Zio user, anyways?
Katsu78 Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 His Garu gauge is probably similar if not the same as Yukiko's Agi gauge. Also Akihiko's always been a muscle head, and you all have to realize it's been 2 games and like 2 years for those 2. But it makes me wonder about Trinity Souls' viability in canon. Trinity Soul was confirmed by Atlus to be noncanon. And Aki is a Zio user, not a Garu user : P
SolxBaiken Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 I didn't pay attention of Trinity Souls, but I guess it's good to know it's non-canon [never actually watched it so, eh] And yeah I found it odd too, but now looking at it closer it's not green and is shaped differently from the Garu symbol, but my claim doesn't change too much yet, as it probably does still power up his attacks. Maybe he's like Cody and will be doing Criminal Uppers all over the place = w=
shtkn Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 http://andriasang.com/comz0s/ ingame akihiko and mitsuru screens akihiko has a level counter above his super meter just like yukiko. also i see the words "super cancel" in the background where words like counter hit go. is this a universal mechanic for the game? i don't think iv'e seen that before. is it just canceling specials into supers ala marvel? edit: their profiles are up on the main p4arena site if ppl want to translate and see if there's any gameplay details in there.
Jourdal Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 EDIT-NVM andriasang got all the important stuff lol 1 spot left...seems so empty now.
Katsu78 Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Akihiko and Mitsuru are now on the official website.
SoWL Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Didn't visit the website in a while, even though it has short gameplay descriptions for the new characters. Here is my rough take on them: Teddie - Tricky Type Uses items and comical moves to inflict various status ailments. Naoto - Shooting Type Shoots with her gun from afar, setting up traps for surprise attacks with her Persona. Instant Kill status can be activated under severe conditions. Akihiko - Boxing Type No surprises here - get in, smash face. Mitsuru - Swordsmanship Type Uses the long reach of her rapier and her Persona's ice attacks to control the flow of battle. Nothing too interesting here, I guess, aside from Teddie's description.

Well yeah, I remember hearing somewhere that you can sacrifice some HP to cancel specials into supers; hence the blue on his HP bar. Edited November 22, 2011 by njmamm
SolxBaiken Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Full res shots of Akihiko and Mitsuru as well as small tidbits of playstyles.
shtkn Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 http://shoryuken.com/2011/11/23/details-on-persona-4-the-ultimate-in-mayonaka-arenas-user-interface-revealed/ the srk article mentions EX attacks... but i don't think i've ever seen it. also i just realized i don't think i've seen a FD mechanic, which is surprising to me. I kinda recall seeing instant blocking, but that may be my memory playing tricks on me
shwaffles Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Seems to be Arcsys's take on Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. It looks absolutely sick I can't wait for it to be released on console. I wonder how loose the timing is for activating your personas.
Jourdal Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Loke test next week http://andriasang.com/comz2u/
Bolverk-GTM Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Jourdal, I didn't recognize any of your posts for the longest time because I'm so used to seeing pink under your name... Seems to be Arcsys's take on Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. It looks absolutely sick I can't wait for it to be released on console. I wonder how loose the timing is for activating your personas. Knowing ArcSys, the timing of the combos probably won't be quite as tight as JoJo's. Doesn't change the fact that this game looks like it's going to be pretty good.
