Jourdal Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I think you guys are looking into it a bit too much lol, like LK says, matches simply vary. I remember Tetsu doing some questionable things in his matches with Buppa and Kaqn but its just a couple of matches.
Moy_X7 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 @ Hoshi - I'd like to believe that maybe that day was just not his day lol. I agree with you about "you never know what he could be thinking". Like you said, he might have been trying to condition the opponent into AA'ing him and then doing j.236D or something to punish. The world will never know lol. In the last couple of matches that I've been trying to reset pressure with jump ins, I just get jabbed during star-up. Later on I just baited the AAs with well-spaced j.Cs lol. @ Yuushiro - I'd love to believe that but DP C's recovery is just too atrocious, they would have to cut the recovery by half at least to make it hard to punish lol @ Jourdal - You might be right, maybe he was just trying something new and it didn't work that well for him lol. I did like his use of DP B as an AA near the corner though. It's worth the risk as long as you have the meter to RC since it's a guaranteed combo if it his (CH or not), unlike DP A which only works as a CH.
Rewenger Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 One example that stands out is that he's jumping a little too often to reset pressure, something that you don't see from him that much. Jumping to reset pressure should be done very conservatively, people with decent reactions can just jab you out of the air. Really? I remember him doing this all the time during CS1.
Moy_X7 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 He did? I guess I wasn't paying as much attention to him in CS as I should have.
Jourdal Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 @Haven, Shin, i must concede. Shen is fucking fun.
shtkn Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 i actually wanted to try out kof13, but i havent had the time. how's elizabeth? i heard she got toned down compared to arcade.

Spartan257B Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 i actually wanted to try out kof13, but i havent had the time. how's elizabeth? i heard she got toned down compared to arcade. She's been toned down from the arcade version, but Betty's still a good pick. Hope you can try it out soon, it's a good game!
Jourdal Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 i actually wanted to try out kof13, but i havent had the time. how's elizabeth? i heard she got toned down compared to arcade. Toned down, but like Spartan says she's pretty beast...i think all 4 of top 4 at NEC had Betty on their team lol.

Jourdal Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Happy Joyous day http://dreamcancel.com/2011/12/08/atlus-press-release-announces-kofxiii-demo-and-netcode-patch-in-development/
Wing Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I watched those Ren videos and thought "is this really Ren?". He's doing some questionable stuff in those matches. One example that stands out is that he's jumping a little too often to reset pressure, something that you don't see from him that much. Jumping to reset pressure should be done very conservatively, people with decent reactions can just jab you out of the air. wtf he always does that shit. ALWAYS
Moy_X7 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Wat I see it from time to time but not as much as in those recent matches.
Xx_Hoshi_xX Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Better netcode eh? Yeah... I'm getting KOF lol
Solex Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 im glad to hear that cause as it is no one in my home town will play with me so hopefully the netcode is good enough so i can learn wtf is going on in that game lol also i tried to play cs2 jin yesterday after nothing but cse jin and man he just feels different ive been trying to put my finger on what i mean by that but i cant lol @Tonberry doesn't that color just look better than all of his other ones combined
Moy_X7 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Yo damn, playing against the CPU is not all that bad. Jin tries to grab you at every chance he gets. I'm getting much better at teching throws now because of that. Guy online tried to throw me more times than I could count just a few minutes ago and I teched nearly all of those throw attempts. Pink throws are a given, those are easy as hell to tech but I'm surprised I teched that many green throws lol.
Tonberry Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 even though you didnt "win" I particularly enjoyed your fights -- watching some of that elite jin pressure (when you applied it right) was quite educational... i wonder if it can be applied to characters with similar air momentum... Thanks. Jin pressure is really fun for me to do so I'm glad someone enjoyed watching it. Wish my confirms had been a little bit more on point. @Tonberry doesn't that color just look better than all of his other ones combined Definitely.
Rewenger Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Imho bang and tao's mixups and crossups are way better for training. At least for punishing their overhead with 623C.
Lord Knight Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Wat I see it from time to time but not as much as in those recent matches. Ren has around 3k games? And maybe <100 matches up... are you sure you know?
Moy_X7 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Ren has around 3k games? And maybe <100 matches up... are you sure you know? When you put it that way, I guess I don't lol.
kirk Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Just wondering, Has anyone done/seen a >6k combo with jin in CSEX? Without gold burst
Moy_X7 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I'm guessing that a 6C CH or a DP D (2nd hit) in the corner and with 50+ meter will do the trick but to answer your question, I personally have not seen that yet.

By the way, would it be any difference now that it's CH or not? I mean it shoots enemy to oblivion with lots of untech time either way.
Haven Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 By the way, would it be any difference now that it's CH or not? I mean it shoots enemy to oblivion with lots of untech time either way. I think there was some speculation on a potential combo with the CH, but that has probably been confirmed wrong at this point. I haven't seen anything on it, and it would still probably have to be an extremely fast reaction from the Jin player to catch up to the person hit by the CH 6C if it did work. Finally had a bit of time to beat Dark Souls. Dark Souls was fun, the game became pretty easy after Blighttown for me though. Gwyn was also disappointingly easy as well, sadly, although I loved the feeling of the fight, as well as the music that played. I am pretty sure after the semester is over, I can get back on BB, KOFXIII, and finish my second playthrough of Dark Souls.
Putin Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 You'll finish your NG+ A LOT faster than your first playthrough, I got to Anor Londo in NG+ in like 2 hours.
