ShelledMenace Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 ...Lol, the FIRST thing he should've done was asked. You know, like a normal person : |

Moy_X7 Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Opened up my PS3 and it looks like the lens (hell, the entire drive) needs more than a little cleaning. In the other hand, I know the PS3 inside out now, literally lol. Oh well, I'll just ninja my dad's PS3 since he never plays it, and I'll play some BeeBee.
vanfleihight Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Lol I randomly log in my 2nd youtube account for BB uploads and the one with jourdal's comment just has random people calling each other a bitch for no reason.
Chris Chaos Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Sorry for being slow in updating the wiki guys... Life been really not nice for me lately..... My roommate who just moved out also took all my video games with him. I was pretty upset. He said he will ship it back to me though, but why dafuq he took all of them in the first place.... He also took my BBCSEX copy..... I remember you talking about that on FB, did you call the police on that guy yet? Besides, I've been hit up with a lot of things lately so the Jin tutorial is not done yet either. The only days I can work on it are Sundays... that's pretty much stealing lol, hope he really does ship it back to ya That IS stealing. @ Moy: Nah, I'm not letting it bother me, I was just wondering what's up with the change. Honestly, I found it funny.
xlolxlolx Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 find that kid and put him where he belongs, in the dumpster
WolfCrimson Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 From the LK gameplay thread: . I occasionally go for crossover j.D if I think it'll work, but it's unsafe as fuck on block, and because my character hasn't turned around, I can't special cancel into j.236X (I theoretically can, but the swords won't go the right way and it will let the opponent out of blockstun I got an idea when I read this and decided to test something with cross up IAD j.D on block: if it's blocked, can you just I've car away to safety? Is that something viable to do? I tried it against Ragna ( the guy with the best normals) and it is punishable with CH 5C only if the jD was blocked really close and on IB. CS can punish it any time. Would it be something good to use to make jD safer?
shtkn Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 i ice car away after this kind of stuff all the time. no one has punished me for it yet, but i suspect it's possible to punish by running at you or if they have some kind of fast half screen punish tool. in which case, i have a backup plan which i've never tried: ex ice swords haha.
xlolxlolx Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 uhhh it depends :o ex ice sword works if your almost right on top of them when you j.d, otherwise ice car away, his crossups bullshit feels weaker in this ver =/

Would it be something good to use to make jD safer? Lol, I'm the one who posted that. I generally do Ice Car away on reaction as a way of trying to get out, but it CAN be punished. I find that Ice Car D is the best version to use because it's faster and goes across the whole screen leaving you a lot of space to recover. However, if you're counterhit out of it you just wasted 25 heat. j.236D will work if you're really close, but because of the turnaround problem it more often than not results in you missing them with all 3 swords and just floating there wonkily while the opponent decides which starter they want for their free combo. *extensively tested this because I thought the turnaround bullshit was just that... bullshit.*
Rewenger Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 But you can cancel airdash into EX ice swords resulting in safe fake crossup which is not half bad. It also moves jin backwards so it's more effective as a fake crossup. At least I would go for that if enemy blocks j.D crossup.
Jyosua Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Right, but we're talking about the fact that j.D crossup itself is unsafe if blocked. Pretty sure we're all aware of the j.236D feint, but if you want to actually crossover you can use j.2C or j.D. j.D is the easiest to combo with after, whereas with j.2C I believe Jin still doesn't turn around fast enough so he's facing the wrong way. TL;DR: Jin, y u no S or A tier?
eQualz Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Because turn around makes you S tier. What. j.B / j.2C is about as easy as j.D to combo.
Rewenger Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 TL;DR: Jin, y u no S or A tier? He has to have good midscreen confirms (which he lost in cs:ex), good midscreen combos (which he lost in cs:ex) or godly corner/mixup (which he did not have in the first place) to be high-tier. Or at least have good practical tools (and his j.C, 2D and 6D got nerfed).
Jyosua Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Because turn around makes you S tier. What. j.B / j.2C is about as easy as j.D to combo. Totally would Really? Want do you combo with after landing a crossover j.B or j.2C? Admittedly I've never tried crossover j.B, but with j.2C he still seems to be facing the other way when I land. I can understand him not putting out a crapton of damage if all of his tools (of which he has many) were fantastic, but nerfing his moves and midscreen damage doesn't help balance him IMO

I guess a little harder but possible. Just plain jump over cross up j2C? you could do dash 5b/5c to sekkajin route there. If you meant IAD/Airdash crossup j2C, it depends when you hit the j2C(needs to be about the end of the airdash), but mostly it would be a short combo off it due to being too far(iad j2C>land> dash 5b(1)>5C > 214B or something) If you're like trying to combo off an airdash j2C around the earliest point you could input j2C,You're doing it wrong. I really hate the new jB, thus never use it for air to ground, can't comment on it. Edited April 19, 2012 by kirk
eQualz Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Delay the j.B after IAD so that he turns around (there you have it) to his opponents face. Obviously you want to follow up with 5B and then either with Sekkajin or if they're crouching & in the corner 5C > 6C. Honestly his normals aren't that bad as you make them out to be. I did throw in CT, CS1 and CS2 only recently just for the hell of it and I gotta admit he'd be fucking overpowered if they were going to add 214A wallbounce and not nerfing anything else of his core game. The only thing I am mad about is his damage of Hiyoku.

I really hate the new jB, thus never use it for air to ground, can't comment on it. The only trollish comment there was the "totally would". Generally, when I ask questions I'm not trolling. I was talking about IAD > crossover j.2C. I'm aware a plain crossup would be easy to combo off of, but that wasn't what I was having issues with. It was after the IAD. I tried sekkajin and not only was I too far, I was facing the wrong way. I tried dash and 5B(2) but that's a dropped combo. I'll try just doing one hit of 5B and see what I can come up with off that if it will link. Delay the j.B after IAD so that he turns around (there you have it) to his opponents face. The only thing I am mad about is his damage of Hiyoku. I'ma give that a shot. Thanks. Yeah the wallbounce thing is definitely great, but I still feel he's overall weaker than he was in CS2. Honestly the air normals are what bother me most. That and 2D. I also think something should be done about 6A. I'd like to get decent combos of it without heat. It's pretty unreactable, but I'd trade it being a little slower to getting more combos off of it. Jin was supposed to be a heat-based character, but it kinda seems like they've sidelined that a bit.
