Moy_X7 Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Jesus, this freeze count rule sucks ass lol. Oh well, I'm sure we'll be able to somehow get the most of it.
cadacus_ater Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 I should have known there was some kind of limit to freezes in OD...otherwise it could get a little bit overpowered, lol.
Jyosua Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 I was wondering how they were going to keep it from being OP. Kinda wish the freeze counts were higher though, but hey, he's pretty much already S tier or at least high A.
Jourdal Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 (edited) www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMyAHOOeeVw#t=6m19s Dat crush trigger combo. Shoutouts to valk~ So Much Jin D: Shadow VS Yutta/Miya http://youtu.be/ee1BgSTxW-8 Keita VS yutta http://youtu.be/Ew4HyImr4TE A jin named Chirudo VS Azrael...does a 6.5k (i think) OD combo http://youtu.be/8WCNgoYPt6A http://youtu.be/562F2J27fQA Edited December 8, 2012 by Jourdal
Chris Chaos Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 (edited) 11:55 of Shadow (AM) vs Yutta/Miya (JI) Wow, j.2C had a vacuum effect now? That's gonna make corner mix up really silly! @Jourdal: You're right, switch mains in CP is a horrible idea, I've seen the light now, Thank You! Edited December 8, 2012 by Shinsyn
cadacus_ater Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 (edited) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ee1BgSTxW-8#t=1m19s So happy spending meter actually gets some decent damage in this iteration, along with corner carry. Would have done less than 3.3k in extend not counting the Hizangen. EDIT: Well, looks like CT is stronger than I thought based on that 6.5k combo, lol Edited December 8, 2012 by cadacus_ater
Jourdal Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 CT has like...100 P2 or something? More Jin~ HARA (Ragna) VS Segata Sanshirou (Jin) http://youtu.be/YBaLd2EM3jw http://youtu.be/k4d1tbRJc1I
Errol Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Ct Does 1k damage and does not affect any combo scaling at all. So like, if your CT does 600 damage, then a combo using CT will do exactly 600 more damage than the same combo without CT. Aside from what moves you can string together in the combo.. which using a CT may make it easier or harder to use other good stuff.

My calculations indicate it has 1420 base damage or so...that or it has some other hidden modifiers I don't know about. And to clarify, CT does get prorated by the combo, but it will not prorate the combo upon using it, that is, if you have 1000 base damage on a CT and use it in a combo with 60 proration (from attacks before the CT), you will do 600 extra damage in the combo and still maintain the 60 proration for the next attack in the combo. mAc Chaos Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BEqKsTTey0&feature=plcp What was the move Jin did at :25 in this video? It reminded me of his story mode where you have to fight matches with his sword not working if you hit C or D.
Chaoschao222 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 I'm sure the Jin players will be able to answer more affirmatively, but I think that's what happens when you try to Sekkajin from too far away now (even though Jin looks relatively close to Mu there...).
LegendaryRath Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Jin's looking pretty awesome. I might have to give him a try this time around to figure some stuff out. That, or I'll just play Jyosua a whole lot.
Moy_X7 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 What Chaos said, you pretty much have to be right next to the opponent in order for Sekkajin to activate. I'm assuming that it also has to do with how fast or how slow you input 22C after the previous move. If you're too far and I'm guessing that if you're too slow with the cancel, then you get that "failed Sekkajin animation".

ShelledMenace Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Thanks as per usual lol. Where are all the other Jins hiding?
eQualz Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 (edited) New thread name, I approve. They're hiding right here. ? (Tsu) vs. ? (Jin) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnhxpAAzK2U&feature=youtu.be edit: Speaking of which Jourdal, any word of KEI, Ronitta, Fenrichi etc.? I wonder where these guys are hiding. Edited December 12, 2012 by eQualz
Jourdal Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Um...it's easier to post who i've seen so far lol Tetsuwo Ren Eruo Dennou Gagaga Gold Miya Yutta Sakuma Yenge Miu Anyone else might be under a new name, pretty sure i saw ronitta but he could have changed his name since then.
cadacus_ater Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 KC has been around hasn't he? Or are you using a diff name for him?
Moy_X7 Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Looks like j.236D has a bit of a vacuum effect to it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnhxpAAzK2U&feature=youtu.be#t=17m52s
ThatKid Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 I don't think so, Tsubaki might not have been all the way in the corner and just got pushed out by jin
Jyosua Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 It looked like she just moved out slightly before blocking again.
Chris Chaos Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 (edited) Looking at it closely, it does look like she was pulled away, although she did IB the last attack and I tried looking for a microdash or some forward progress but there was not a microdash in the video (no foot dust from Tsubaki after being hit by j.236D) and I didn't see forward progress from Tsubaki either. I want to agree with Moy here but it's really hard to tell here and it could be taken either way from the looks of this video. But if it does have a vacuum effect... LMFAO! Edited December 14, 2012 by Shinsyn
cadacus_ater Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Well, it definitely doesn't push them, which is why I love the new j.236D so much. A pretty much guaranteed lock down on block makes me very happy. If it does vacuum, then all the better, lol.
Jyosua Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Well, if we're just going by wishes, I hope Moy's right too. I also hope we can do 5k midscreen, but that's not gonna happen.
