Nemesis Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 when you block inferno dividah So honestly it's not a "throw it out there" but a "use now cause the other guy fcked up" move
Lord Pwnge18 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 REAL TALK Mu vs Bang is going to be a complete clusterfuck Discuss GOOD THING YOU HAPPEN TO PLAY BOTH HYUK HYUK
YukiBlue Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 I wouldn't say scarier. I just think so much can now happen in that matchup. Both characters can do retarded damage (Bang less so. But dat Mobility and mixup), and both have great Oki. The matchup is more or less: First hit wins
pochp Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 So honestly it's not a "throw it out there" but a "use now cause the other guy fcked up" move Not necessarily, the move has good range, so it can be used in anime footsies, but since it has less range than 5c for far opponents and slower than 2a for close opponents, so you need to be comfortable with when to use the move if you want to use it at neutral. It whiffs on crouch sometimes too. However a really practical but situational use is for crossup or fake crossup after an air throw that you don't RC. It's also air unblockable so if you manage to get someone blocking j.AAAAs in the air, you can land crossunder and 5b them.
Aile Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 I managed to finally play Extend today, made me so happy when I found out I didn't really need so much transitioning with Mu at all compared to a certain squirrel question though; Combo wise does most of her CS2 stuff work? Since I can't seem to do any of the CS2 corner combos I know. Or maybe it's just me :T
pochp Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Valk has always been scary I managed to finally play Extend today, made me so happy when I found out I didn't really need so much transitioning with Mu at all compared to a certain squirrel question though; Combo wise does most of her CS2 stuff work? Since I can't seem to do any of the CS2 corner combos I know. Or maybe it's just me :T They should all still work, unless they involved stein explosions. Apparently some moves can come out faster than they used to (due to less hitstop I think?) but if you use the same timings as CS2 you should be fine.
YukiBlue Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 (edited) Yeah but now I mean "Fuck this shit rage quit the match" Scary. ALSOOOOO Why did I not see the Guilty Gear 2 Overture advertisment on Litchis level Edited January 7, 2012 by YukiBlue
C0R Posted January 7, 2012 Author Posted January 7, 2012 Valk is weaker than he was last game overall, Mu is stronger overall, and I still believe it's a matchup in her favor.
SolarMisae Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Lasers mean Valk can't wolf around senselessly. DP means wolf mixup isn't really gonna happen. He can't fly at you in wolf form safely at all really, and now we can DP in the air. Tao is way worse than Valk for µ imo.
Lythium Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Agi's playing on stream right now! http://www.twitch.tv/finestko
bakahyl Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 (edited) Valk doesn't seem that much weaker from what i saw from the japanese videos.I would say that his new buffs are just as great as his nerfs, but Mu on the other hand has gained more buffs than nerfs. edit: Atleast his wolf 5b doesn't seem that retarded of an anti air now Edited January 7, 2012 by bakahyl
Aginor Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 (edited) Agi's playing on stream right now! http://www.twitch.tv/finestko Yea I got Ragna'd. Both my winner's and loser's match. I didn't feel confident in the match up. Before today I felt I could only go 40-60 against a competent ragna player. After today, I'm probably 50-50. Edit: Also happy belated birthday to mu~ <3 Edited January 8, 2012 by Aginor
C0R Posted January 10, 2012 Author Posted January 10, 2012 Setting up a stream channel, might do some training mode tomorrow whenever I'm not playing Tera. twitch: cortv
ThunderboltZ28 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 You got into the Japanese beta for Tera? I tried but was having some problems. I'm just going to wait until the NA beta in April.
LuminAbyss Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Valk is weaker than he was last game overall Wait, how?
C0R Posted January 11, 2012 Author Posted January 11, 2012 (edited) Wait, how? Every change in his favor is effectively just compensation for the tools that he lost. ex - Wolf cannons are dash cancelable on block, but are now - instead of + - j.c landing recovery opens new combo routes, required because he lacks the wolf meter to do a stronger combo after movement If you look closely at his changelog, and have a lot of experience in the matchup, you can start identifying how the changes, when combined with the system mechanics lead to a slight decrease in his potency as a character. The wolf gauge that gave him near unlimited movement and is critical to his combos was cut nearly in half, overall reducing his effectiveness as unique mechanic significantly. C0R Posted January 11, 2012 Author Posted January 11, 2012 You got into the Japanese beta for Tera? I tried but was having some problems. I'm just going to wait until the NA beta in April. That's just a full Tera JP account, the beta ended a while ago. I know Patrick rather well and interned at En Masse, so I'll probably have access to the phase 1 beta when it's released.
SolarMisae Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 No longer have CSX. Practicing getting used to OTG 2C on Rachel in CS2 in the meantime. Anything I can still work on while I wait other than that?
Aginor Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 AAing with 6a 2b. Spacing 2c AA out (going to be hard without extend). Those are the most notable ones in terms of cs2 to extend changes. Spacing too since 5c got nerfed and your overall hitconfirms. That's all I can really say for now.
C0R Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 Get used to doing ghetto combos off 214d. :<
