C0R Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Yeah he can but the level nerf on chains makes it easier for Tager to hit is him when he approaches. Hazama can attack faster out of chain movement now, the gap is actually tigher than it was in the last game. 5dd j.b has like a 4f gap or something stupid like that.

This actually sounds interesting to note thanks. But if you instant block it won't it make it a 7F gap which could be mashed on? Why would a Hazama chain when it's IB'd I wouldn't know.

I'm not sure as to the specifics, but fighting against Hazama throughout CSX has taught me to respect that where I would normally disrespect it.
huey253 Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 you can totally mash hazama out if he does chain into jB now. the reason that hazama is actually safer is because he can do it early enough to stop himself outside of your attack range.
Fluck Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Don't worry guys I'll save the thread from Star-Demon AXIS not only does Hazama's chain buff make his gaps into j.B tighter, it also allows him to throw out another chain earlier and is overall just as bad times for Tager as it ever was. As for Ragna's match-up totals, I think the main reason is that it's very easy to remove or add 0.5 to his match-ups depending on how strong you feel he is. For example, I would remove at least .5 from the Mu, Hazama, Haku, Lambda, and Arakune match-ups. That would drop him to only +5.5.
Sophisticat Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Man, I got in some time with the new Haku tonight, and I'm starting to see why he's considered S... Take it this way. It's Hakumen, but without his CS2 limitations, and he's got an anti-air of sorts in 6a now. Dmg, huge corner carry, AA, good pokes, Gdlk j.B, good star gain, etc.... This dude's a beast. Carl definitely feels easier, so I agree with that. I played vs. Relius, but I don't know the character, so no comment. Zoners... Who cares? Block 'til you find an entry, then blow your wad you saved up. He's got the Void to boot. Same as in previous games, except easier. I suspect Ragna will still be frustrating, but hardly impossible. It's a spacing thing, and Ragna got better, so not much to be done here. Anyone else, troll with j.B. Seriously. It's that good.
Akira-Shiro Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Lol so im watching A-cho from december and... my nigga bang is just looking to godlike.. Yet he is only +10,, lol FRKZ=GG's try again next round my nigga.
E3vE3 WAZ HEA Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 (edited) alrighty i saw the chart analysed it and cam to a conclusion.............i have no clue how to read them damn things TT_TT call me what you want but i cant understand it for nothing Edited January 20, 2012 by E3vE3 WAZ HEA
Akira-Shiro Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 (edited) look at the characters name on the left side of the chart, nd the character abbreviations on the top row.. If ragna is on the left and you follow the numbers towards the right to find the abbreviation HZ(Hazama) you will see that the number is 55 meaning that the matchup is 5.5-4.5 ragnas favor. Rows are character specific to the character farthest to the left,, columns are for the character pit againts the one in the row you chose to look at.. Edited January 20, 2012 by Akira-Shiro

NeoGio0o Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 (edited) "GOD DAMN RAGNA + 75 you never stood a chance." -Akira Shiro in chat Lol But in all honesty this thread is starting to go down the path of the many previous ones expect for this to be locked soon. It all starts with a Shiro post remember that... Edited January 20, 2012 by NeoGio0o

For example, I would remove at least .5 from the Mu, Hazama, Haku, Lambda, and Arakune match-ups. That would drop him to only +5.5. I feel the same way about Ragna. This is from a Lambda perspective, but most of Lambda's bad match-ups are against people who can easily close the gap between her and the enemy relatively easily. Ragna really doesn't have that, unless you count CS, but I'm pretty sure a Lambda won't toss out a random drive when he has meter and is mid-range. Since Ragna lacks an effective gap closer, I don't think he will be even with zoners because they can essentially zone him forever and he can't stop it. He has to be cautious and read the opponent, that's how he gets in. The match-ups could be 5-5 but I think the lack of a gap closer makes that a rough speculation.
SansProtocol Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Why isn't all of this great discussion on certain match-ups posted in the respective character match-up threads? If you don't have those for your character yet, bug your mod to make them. It depresses me how little is in the character subforums for some characters. This thread will be locked soon (hopefully) and deleted, so why waste time discussing match-ups constructively? We need this talk where it will stay and others can look it up in the future. This match-up chart is not complete and a lot of information is still missing, so drawing any conclusions from this (for the most part) is futile and illogical. There's no reason to have this thread up anymore. And holy fuck, you can't divide by infinity. It's a concept that cannot be defined by a number, thus arithmetic cannot be used.
Zeron_X25 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 (edited) Dividing by infinity equals zero, dood. Not the same as nonexistent. No it doesn't. The limit as you approach infinity would be 0 but the actual function would be nonexistent at that point. And what's up with the Tager vs. Hazama matchup? Looks pretty troll to me. Bring back the Jiyuna chart. Edited January 21, 2012 by Zeron_X25
CrazyI-nomitsu Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Dustloop members need to hit the math books again....And no it's not a troll Tager is just winning more. I bet they made it 4.5-5.5 Haz when Yumura beat Buppa.
Zeron_X25 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 That's ok. Now if I lose to a Tager, I can blame it on the bad matchup.
Sneakman Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 This match-up chart can't be right...at least not completely. How can Ragna not have a bad match-up AT ALL, while Valk and Haku are in HIS favor?! As a Ragna main since CT, I can't understand how he could have improved that much, if that can be explained or referenced(in case it was already stated, and I missed it.) that would be great.

bakahyl Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Why the heck are people even talking about dividing by infinity? Infinity itself is not an actual number.
mAc Chaos Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Why don't you guys just actually type out "lock this thread please."
Vulcan422 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 This isn't an Arcadia list, so as far as I'm concerned this thread is worthless. Someone please close this like mAc said.
