I still use Tsubaki every now and again, but I can't adjust to her debuff's in CSExtend well at all. :( I love her hypocritical-backside though, I really do, but just trying to go through everything and relearn it all, it's painful. So I'm just messing with her from time to time in training. Which is what I do when I get frazed from playing around with things with Mu in training mode or challenge mode. I'm also tinkering with Makoto a little bit, but I can't get her combinations to link well at all. At least with Mu it's a lot of just getting over hitting 6C on relex once 5C hits, and instead using something like D or Sword of Decimation, or maybe Arrows of Light. :shrugs: I just got my backside handed to me severely by my friend after doing pretty well against him yesterday because of all the messy inputs. Also neglecting to use D on 6C getting blocked, or the fact he plays Valk so it's a lot of just timing things, and I swear he was punching through things that he previously hadn't (our connection was also at 0 for some insane reason unlike the normal 1-2 we get).

I don't really "ride the gate" I grew out of that fast with the square gate, I just have the tendency of exaggerating movements too much from the 1p/Default side and messing up inputs. However I'm actually pretty good with inputs from the 2p side because I don't hit the gate so much it feels like. So I figured using a slightly less restrictive gate might help.

If it doesn't then I dunno, maybe I'll just have to get used to it over time...

Just trying to find what works for me as a player when it comes to my stick. Otherwise inputs aren't too bad for me on the gamepad except for DP. And, by the way, what is the consensus of use of Mu's DP?

I took my stick out of the box and after a few matches I was already comfortable with using it. Now if only my execution was good enough to use it to its fullest.

Whoo, way to go bolt~

I was able to do the same with mine, I think it took a little longer though while I was choosing the button layout.

And, by the way, what is the consensus of use of Mu's DP?

It's good~

Welcome! The bandwagon is a lie, this awesome character needs more players. Mu is very fun and rewarding , with many options at any given point. Protip : don't use 6c outside of combos, period.

There's actually quite a few characters that can't deal with 5c 6c. It's good but just keep in mind your spacing and be careful of characters that have supers that dash/move them forward because they can use that to punish you for doing 5c 6c if they IB 5c.

I'm no expert, so I wouldn't really be the go-to guy for this kinda stuff.

But, as you know it IS a DP. So use it when the opponent does stuff that doesn't link, unsafe things, yatta yatta.

You could try using the new air version of it for a slick cross-up, though I don't know if that's a very...recommendable idea.

Gah, I hate doing stuff like this. I don't want to just ignore you're question, but I also don't want my free habits to be laid out in the form of false advice

Thanks for the welcomes, and the protips and all. :)

Of course, the pain of having two Hazamas and a Noel tear threw me like I was nothing. Quite a few times, yes, 6C was the cause of my pain. Eh, live and learn, right? I'll eventually get it to not constantly use that move. Or at least when I shouldn't be using it.

Though while fighting a Ragna, I discovered for myself that I could keep the Totsuka Blade beam moving around with quick Steins Gunner placement. Nothing new for most of you guys I'd guess really, but it was interesting to me as I knew I had the beam hit 3/4 Steins before going threw Ragna behind, and then continue on threw 3 more Steins to go up and then down on Ragna from above. It was just a "whoa, cool" moment for me.

Oh! Also, when did Divine Wrath of the Heavens become delayable? Was that always there and I never noticed with the few times I played Mu, or did they just put it in?

I never really use it unless in going for style points.

Also Bandwagon. I dont really mind but damn. More new players in a weekend than all of CS2. Extend Mu must be sweet. I need more hype Its out tomorow~~

Also, welcome new Mu bros :toot:

Divine Wrath of the Heavens...

I assume you mean Habakiri, or 214D, I don't remember the english name. If you do mean that, then yeah, they made it delayable in CSX, just in time for the nerf it also received ;-;

Yeah, that's what I meant. Sorry about that, as my brain defaults on to the names when I tend to talk about moves in the game and not motions unless asked. ^_^;;

But when's a good time to use it? :kitty:

Mash the shit out of it. It's incredibly good, and probably the BEST meterless reversal in the entire game. It has full body guardpoint, and you cannot be thrown out of it.

If you can do it IB DP in peoples pressure strings. It also sends them across the screen which is awesome cause µ likes to be far from her opponents.

So yeah, you can pretty much mash it, but don't mash it predictably or stupidly with no real thought behind why you're doing it. Otherwise you'll get baited, it'll be blocked and then your opponent is gonna hurt you.

Also Yuki up in here. Doing his hipster thing. What a tool.

jk Yuki I love you.

...or do I...?

Oh~ So that's what I should use for pressure...

Yeah I realized if it whiffs, or I mis-use it there tends to be a moment where I'm pretty vulnerable afterward. If only I could DP on the 1P side... /: I even sat there practicing the movement with inputs displayed in Lab. I think I really am just over exaggerating the movement on that side, or something so I end up hitting the gates sides because I really notice it when I'm doing inputs from the 1P side. Because I'll see a 62 input but the part where I think I'm going to 3 ends up being a 2 again...

Octo-gate. :kitty:

On a square you hit the bottom then slide across to the corner. So much easier.

don't just practice the dp motion raw. Set the dummy to do a blockstring, then DP between two hits when there's a gap.

For example set it to ragna and have him do something like 2a 2a 6b, then practice doing dp between the 2a and 6b. Once you got that down, next step is instant block > dp.

I used to test my dp mashing skills against a friend of mine that also uses a dp that can clash with mu's dp, like inferno divider or a mirror origins clash :)

Done with the sickness, back to employment.

Might stream Tuesday night, after that look for me as the head commentator/broacaster for US Blue Revolution finals!

Oooo. Sounds like fun there. Have to dig up a link to that when the time comes and watch it. Hopefully there will be some decent Mus playing to learn from. Both on your stream and in the Finals. Though my gut says to not expect it in the Finals.

That aside... yeah, I've got nothing. I'll just go back to beating up on Hazama in training mode while I learn combos now.
