xlolxlolx Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 mikado's always streamed on jonio's twitch also
zdravkelja Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I haven't heard anything about an official guidebook or change log. I'm sure someone will eventually post all of the changes though. Kliff impressions: I only fought one Kliff player but I played against him maybe about 6 times. I think we went 3-3 or something like that. I really do not know how to fight this character yet. His long reach attacks really catch you off guard sometimes. The move where he pole vaults on his sword is hard to block and also caught me off guard a lot. I'm not quite sure if it can cross up or if there is a specific way to block it yet. When he does that air move where he falls straight down and stabs his sword on the ground, after the initial sword hit, there is also an impact radius ground hit that also got me a few times. Watch out for that. It seems like he can be punished if you avoid it though. His super disc thing has really long range and is pretty fast. Hit box is annoying sometimes and stuff will whiff against him. He does pretty good damage in general. This particular player was doing pretty well against other people. Overall, I think he seems pretty good. It's hard to tell because its so early. I fought 2 Justice players. One of them was Mike (the famous Jam player). He had like a 30 win streak with Justice against various random people. I only fought him once and came within like a hit of beating him on my only try. Mike says that he thinks Justice isn't that good but is having fun messing with him and will probably stick with Jam. Mugen told me he thinks Justice looks strong. I asked Mike about his thoughts on the 100% tension "install" super and he says he never even used it once. He thinks its a waste of meter and that Justice's other supers are way more useful. I would agree. Fighting him just feels like running through a big obstacle course of slow moving missiles. Kind of like playing a bullet hell shooter but not really. Once you can get past the bit wall of missiles, the match didn't seem so bad. Justice can convert big damage off of random missile hits and he can also combo into existing missiles already on screen pretty easily. He has a lot of solid looking normals. His sweep is especially a good poke. Fast and long range. The other Justice player wasn't as good as Mike but he seems to be enjoying the character. Overall I think Faust will do fairly well against Justice because he has a lot of tools to get in with teleport variations, air force break pogo, and the right items at the right time. Faust can't really poke justice through all of those missiles though. I really want to fight this character more since I only had 2 matches total. Maybe just jumping into his missiles and slash backing them to get rid of them like I often do against Testament's old phantom soul would work, but I think they are multiple hits so it would probably be difficult. Once again, it is too early to tell how good Justice is, but I don't think he will completely suck. Thanks for the info That install super really should use only 50% tension. Justice is SHE btw
jinbe Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 this is not properly +R gameplay related, but i've a question for Elvenshadow. Takadanobaba Mikado had 14 versus set for AC. Now how many set there are for vanilla AC and how many for AC+R ? And about screen's size, do you play with bars or without ? thanks.

Vulcan422 Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I was expecting an earlier release date but whatever. Can't wait to Pilebunker some bitches.
Kyosuke Kagami Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 As long as we get that shit HERE, they can take all the time they need. Will they use Aksys' translation for Story Mode?
Agni Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 HYPE Time to see if GG is all it's cracked up to be.
Fenrir Werwolf Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Will they use Aksys' translation for Story Mode? Who cares, AC story is shit and random :V I'm more concerned on how we have to wait for +R on consoles... good news still, hope it will make some new people into GG
Kyosuke Kagami Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Be concerned if they didn't announce the update for consoles AC. It'll eventually arrive, so I wouldn't think about it that much. Also, from what I understood from that tweet, maybe we'll pay some extra to get R? Heck, I don't mind paying 5 or 10 bucks more for it.
STenSatsu Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 How much is 1200msp as a dollar amount? I imagine 10 or 15?
Kyosuke Kagami Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 IIRC, 15 monies EDIT: damn, toan ;~;

Abominable K Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 ElvenShadow, how is the game speed? Is it closer to NAOMI or the PS2 version?
doragonkoroshi Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 ^just from observing all the black beat combos, my guess is it's closer to ps2 speed, but i could be wrong. Doesn't seem to be any slowdown from effects though, but that stands to reason.
4r5 Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 as long as we're all playing the same version of the game, crappy or not
ElvenShadow Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Didn't dizzy have a force break fish? What is it? I desperately want her old H laser back in some capacity, but I guess I will have to see what's up with the new fish. I fought Dizzy a lot. Mostly against Natsume and Baim. I can't remember the exact properties of the EX fish but I think it follows, goes really fast, and lasts a long time. Don't remember number of bites. I also don't remember what old H laser was like. What I can say is that the new force break knife is really fast and homes. The biggest thing that I found annoying to deal with was Dizzy's new far ice spike. She now has 2 versions, sort of like Eddies drills, so you really have to watch where you are standing at all times. Overall, the match feels harder for Faust than it did in AC. I think Dizzy was one of Faust's easier match ups in AC though. I did well in general winning more than I was losing vs the Dizzys. Sorry I am not much of a Dizzy expert aside from how to fight her with Faust, but I hope that answer's some of your questions Destin. I hope you pick the game up again. I think you will like new Dizzy.
ElvenShadow Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 (edited) this is not properly +R gameplay related, but i've a question for Elvenshadow. Takadanobaba Mikado had 14 versus set for AC. Now how many set there are for vanilla AC and how many for AC+R ? And about screen's size, do you play with bars or without ? thanks. Mikado has 4 ACR sets. The rest are still regular AC. They are all on old cabs and the game runs completely fine on them without any lag. No bars on the side. The cab at Game New Platon (where I sometimes play now that I moved to Maebashi 30 minutes from there in Gunma. I got 1st place in that 3 on 3 tournament you posted vids for on 9/15 btw) has only one cab and its a new cab and uses the bars. Now that I compare, the newer cab does seem to have a SLIGHT bit of lag... maybe, but it is totally playable. I need to try it again to compare, so don't take what I say 100% on this yet. Abominable K - I haven't played PS2 AC since Frosty Faustings in January... (please check the new Frosty Faustings thread BTW! You should all come!) but the speed feels like what I am more used to (arcade, Naomi), so I think it's pretty much the same as it has always been on arcade. Whether or not the PS3/360 port is more like PS2 speed or arcade speed... I guess we will wait and see. zdravkelja - I know Justice is female. Sometimes I don't think about it though. Aegis High Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Who cares, AC story is shit and random :V I care.
doragonkoroshi Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Satu is complaining on twitter about lag at his local arcade, but looking forward to going to mikado, so i guess some cabs have noticeable lag and some don't.
Blade Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 I care. *hugs* Man, the sooner I get a new PS3, the sooner it is ON! I've been playing this game for god knows how long, that should count for SOMETHING.
axel Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 http://andriasang.com/con29x/guilty_gear_home_version/ From what I read, the PS3/Xbox360 release in October will indeed be the latest version (GGXX AC+R in arcade), but will still be named AC+. Did I misinterpret it?
reaVer Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 You misinterpreted: Initially, the home version will be based off the PlayStation 2 original. It will be updated later to the arcade version's specifications.

Ah...wow...they're running GGXXAC+R on old cabinets they used for vanilla AC (Astro City if i'm correct...) ? It's really possible ? (ah, congrats for winning 3on3 on New Platon, the video didn't have players' names...a good reason to update your blog again ^_^) Edited September 25, 2012 by jinbe
Blade Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 You misinterpreted: What are the chances of them releasing a PSP patch for AC+? Slim to none?
