Moy_X7 Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 edit: has psn been super ass for anyone lately? and by ass, i mean more ass than usual It really has, D_E and I were having difficulties when trying to join a room.
A.X.I.S. Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Why do you insist on using mindgames on me? Uh...yeah. You're Ragna and I'm Lambda. I'm not even attempting to rush you down. I rush down Ragna with Lambda sometimes. D:
floatwater Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 I rush down Ragna with Lambda sometimes. D: it's okay. i do that too. EDIT: woops forgot to post this. GAMES anyjuan?
ehrik Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 ggs to zeth and rampage chuck I should be using advanced input i guess ;_; Dropping mad easy shit question: how do I beat bang's fire reversal on wakeup?
Dont_Explain Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 DE is a dodging bitch. I turned my PS3 on by accident when I was about to play on my computer with the PS3 controller. I guess trying to turn it off while not looking failed.
zeth07 Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 ggs to zeth and rampage chuck I should be using advanced input i guess ;_; Dropping mad easy shit question: how do I beat bang's fire reversal on wakeup? Pick Valkenhayn. But really, it's -7 and unless you specifically bait it and are right on top of him you probably won't punish it mostly due to spacing. Cause if you're a bit too far away you would need to dash/do a longer range slower poke so he would have time to block probably. The other thing to watch out for is some Bang's will then do 6D cause it has the frame 1 guard point. And if you're in the air and barrier blocking you probably can't do anything about it at all unless you're literally right on top of him. IBing will help obviously as well. It's one of those things where you should look at it as not so much getting a punish but more or less at least getting back to neutral or putting pressure on him as he just used up his 50% to get out. For Bang it's basically a momentum based move since 2,500 for 50% isn't exactly good, but getting back to neutral or the knockdown is what makes it worth it I guess. Obviously if the opponent has low health it can win the match though. Maybe going for a throw would work and probably beat out 6D if he tries that as well as any other button press I imagine, but I'm not a frames person so I'm not entirely sure. I'm guessing if you press a button and he tries to jump he'll get caught as well but don't quote me on that. Someone else will have to give you a character specific way to punish for Tao, I'm sure she can. GGs though.
Moy_X7 Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 question: how do I beat bang's fire reversal on wakeup? If you pressed a button and have time to kara cancel, then you can kara cancel into a move with I-frames or a Counter.
NeoGio0o Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 You can't punish Bangs Ashura if you don't IB it as he can cycle through options and essentially your guessing. Characters with DP's can actually do meaty DP RC for lazyness or if your patient DP on the first frame of super flash. On his wake up you need to get real oki/do something that can be special canceled and just wait for super flash to DP him. Tao can use instant air dash j.4D to actually punish Ashura as the flames will whiff and Tao will attack just after the flames have dispersed, however your better off blocking and returning to neutral. Never ever air barrier block Ahsura because he can then start his pressure. Example if you have a DP: Litchi can do 5B, 2C, wait. If he Ashura 2C you DP for free and if he doesn't resume pressure. (something like this)

NeoGio0o Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Pretty sure Ashura is AUB unless you barrier, so you don't have a choice. I was speaking in terms of baiting it out, a lot of players have the bad habit of using jump barrier to bait things. However yes it is AUB so your statement is correct.
Yggjrasil Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 >Playing against Lambda >Looking for excitement doing it wrong. Guess you never played severin.
Dont_Explain Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 No. I'm free to regular Lambdas, so why would I even fight Severin? Do you want me to feel bad about life?
Yggjrasil Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Severin taught me that barrier breaking and blocking are your best friends against zoners, and being patient really does pay off in the end, Your opponent is also human. The fact that you're blocking all of their attacks makes them frustrated and take more risks at trying to open you up.
cookiehours Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 I rush down Ragna with Lambda sometimes. D: You can rush down when it's safe. T^T
Zeron_X25 Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Never ever air barrier block Ahsura because he can then start his pressure. lmao you just failed.

The fact that you're blocking all of their attacks makes them frustrated and take more risks at trying to open you up. The truth, but we too are human. We don't wanna block all day even though that's what we know we need to do. Plus I don't know how many times I've sat beside Lambda and flinched when they did Spike Chaser right beside me and all I had to do was 2A them.
NeoGio0o Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 lmao you just failed. Grammatically yes, but I'm confident that if you choose to block Ashura in the air it's worse than blocking it on the ground. To be honest I never actually went to training mode to test it out I just remember rolling my face on j.A with Tao after I barrier blocked Raiza's Ashura and he got a counter hit 5A and explained why Ashura is so amazing.

I hate this shit so much, on some days, I react to that shit with ID or 2C when they do it that close to me...But most of the time it's just "Ah,shit why'd I let you do that?"

So many matches lost just cause I don't press buttons......You'd think after playing this game for awhile and playing someone like Ragna I would be the master of buttons, but sadly no
Moy_X7 Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 I'm just afraid of trading with Spike Chaser, that shit hurts lol. GGs to ForeverWandering, it's always fun to play characters that deal 50% more damage than what Jin does from any hit lol. Hakumen j.B, too strong, I need to learn to just let it happen. 5A, 2A, and j.A can't hold a candle to it on reaction.
Star-Demon Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 I wanna play again but I really DO want to play morrowind. ALso - Internet sucks...Maybe a little bit. anyone else?
Dr.Patient Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Should I buy skullgirls,I mean, the game is fun, but I'm not sure if alot of people play it, and will keep playing it.
