XD I hear people say it's dependent on her items, but it's not all that hard to get something good to work with... That and Heartcar/Mami is stupid as hell. punishable on block, but it makes a lot of Jin's lows and mids whiff, though I imagine you know that already...

Also, I noticed I was playing a LOT better when I used that white palette versus my normal purple. I wonder why that is? Also that damn hammer in the corner. I never figured out if I can punish it, and with what.

You could do wake-up DP C and it will tag me doing a j.D hammer but it's not worth eating a 6K combo over something that slow and risky. That and it will sometimes clash against it. There's not much you can do about it on block, that thing has a shitload of block-stun and frame advantage at that height. I'm just mad I couldn't punish that one wake-up DP C on time, I could have ended that round right then and there lol.

After blocking you can't do anything. you'll just eat a CH if you try 5C. like moy said you can do DP C but it's not worth eating a shit ton of damage if he baits it.

Wouldn't most people have to hesitate to deal with the incoming bubble either in their movement or at least try to hit the bubble to make it go away, meanwhile you equip item and you're good to go? Or even shooting some of the last of the other items seems to provide enough cover or distraction for a chance to equip more items. This is just from my own observations of course, but you would know better. It doesn't seem like it is THAT tough for her to equip items at neutral, unless you're trying to do it when the opponent is really close which wouldn't make sense anyway.

That and Jin is going to be rushing the hell out of me, no time to throw out a 28F start-up projectile. If I have the Missiles, I'd much rather use that opportunity to get in than to equip an item. You can't do random Mystique Momos against Jin either... One because of the start-up and two because of the angle at which MM fires items. It takes 28-29Fs to equip an item, that's plenty of time for the opponent to close the gap even full screen and best case scenario for me, get me to block. I pretty much only try to equip items now after a Mami/j.236XXX ender or during a corner combo that allows me to use the Bubble.

Literally 1 round she didn't get a chance but I think it was just bad decisions on her part. The other times it got "punished" (twice within that time frame) was when he was going air to air anyway and he literally got nothing from it.

Equipping items during air pressure doesn't seem like that bad of an idea, I should give it a try sometime. lol at that quick rise Mami, I should also try doing those every once in a while. I'm too reserved of a player, I don't like taking unnecessary risks like that though.

zeth07 Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 33:35 video of Platinum and like 90-95% of those item equips were easily successful, that's a lot. More than half of them were as simple as double jump>equip and nowhere near getting punished for it.
