Airk Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Because nobody cares about people's online rank/win rate, and there's no tracking of offline stuff outside of the arcade version.
CosmicShadow99 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Because nobody cares about people's online rank/win rate, and there's no tracking of offline stuff outside of the arcade version. But wouldn't that be sort of useful for the threads dedicated to online play like the match finder thread? So you can better tell who to challenge and who's around your skill level.
Airk Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 But wouldn't that be sort of useful for the threads dedicated to online play like the match finder thread? So you can better tell who to challenge and who's around your skill level. I haven't noticed any situations in which I felt it would be helpful. I mean, there's nothing stopping people from posting it, but at the end of the day, the community isn't really that big, and people tend to at least have a sort of "I played Bob, and he said you were good." connection. Also, most people are willing to play with ANYONE they have a halfway decent connection to at least once, and after that, they KNOW if you're "worth" playing with again or not. So, no, not really.
Angel-tastic Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 So I was wondering, does anyone know the exact criteria for inputting 236236. Sometimes in practice mode it won't come out even though the arrows tell me that I input the directions correctly. Do I have to input it in a certain number of frames, or hold 6 for a moment before doing the second motion, or let the stick return to the neutral position in between the quarter circles, or something?
Verimeloni Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Every game has different input priority. In BB you can actually get away with pretty wonky inputs compared to GG which demands them spot on. Input it as fast as you can but clean, that's the keyword. If you're having problems with it practice it slow first and add speed in intervals. Letting the stick return to neutral is how it's designed to work but in most cases it's too slow.
LordSpectreX Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Excuse my ignorance, but I'm watching Final Round and apparently you can select the old themes like Lust Sin? A bunch of other people and I are trying to figure it out. Can't see anything in the DLC market or anything.

swordsman09 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Like the japanese version, if we buy CP from the store early, will we get Terumi along with it?
Elochai Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Like the japanese version, if we buy CP from the store early, will we get Terumi along with it? As far as Gamestop goes, yes. http://www.gamestop.com/ps3/games/blazblue-chrono-phantasma/113255#bonusFeatures
swordsman09 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Wait, no I worded it wrong. I meant like how if you bought it from the PSN Store for the first few weeks or so it came with Terumi.
Dawn of Musou Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Not sure if this has been asked before but is there anything that transfers from the JP version to the English version? Stuff like trophies or ranking or DLC?
Henjin Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Sooo i was looking through my trophies thinkin how much of a badass i became to be till i realized that the trophy txt was english. When was this? Will my JP vers. get an english va patch for the next update? Or english txt for story? Or both?
Kurushii Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Wait, no I worded it wrong. I meant like how if you bought it from the PSN Store for the first few weeks or so it came with Terumi. They did that for Japan so most likely NA as well. Not sure if this has been asked before but is there anything that transfers from the JP version to the English version? Stuff like trophies or ranking or DLC? Trophies and your profile card with the wins/loss/etc. DLC and saves won't. Sooo i was looking through my trophies thinkin how much of a badass i became to be till i realized that the trophy txt was english. When was this? Will my JP vers. get an english va patch for the next update? Or english txt for story? Or both? Trophy text is based on what XMB language you had set when you first played the game. If your XMB was in English then when the English trophies became available it overwrote your Japanese trophy names. Jp version game will not get a patch for English text, go buy the NA release.
Henjin Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Not worth it at the time. Would i still have terumi at least?
Narroo Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Really? Terumi is going to be DLC for America? That's blatant content lock right there. The console version comes out 5 months later for us, after a year of not having it in arcades, AND the Arc System Works Translation has yet to be proven any good (remember Extend.) Now we have to preorder to get a character? I wonder if they're going to make a deluxe version like Extend, with DLC characters included?

They have stated it on their site for months that Terumi is dlc. If you want to complain about one content lock then go email ASW and complain about the rest because everything is on disc or patched in. To your other question they haven't said anything about a dlc packed release. I doubt we will see one till the version after v1.1, whenever that is.
bkbrent Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I'm not really sure if this question should be asked here but ... Could anyone supply me with a BBCP character tier list..? or at least point me in a direction to find one. Thanks in advance.
Daedron Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 This seems pretty close. Other tier lists have some slight variation but this should be a good enough benchmark. This tier list no longer applies in 3 days when the patch hits arcades. SS: Kokonoe S: Valkenhayn, Tao, Litchi S-: Hakumen, Hazama A+: Azrael, Mu A: Jin, Rachel, Relius B+: Kagura, Nu, Ragna, Noel, Carl B: Platinum, Tsubaki, Arakune, Tager, Bang, Terumi. C: Bullet, Amane, Izayoi, Makoto.

Or is it for potential damage output? I don't understand why people obsess about tiers all the time. I'm asking this now because I don't care at all about what people consider to be a "good" character, or who's at a high ranking, I just play who I like, and who fits my playstyle best.

Tier lists, in some sense, just compare MUs between characters. Characters at the top have more advantageous MUs than those at the bottom. Therefore, it can be argued that those at the top are better characters since they can beat more of the cast than other characters.
mAc Chaos Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Tier list deals with matchups, and matchups deal with tools. So a higher tier character generally has better tools at his disposal.
Myoro Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 So I'm wondering How does one get the orange+yellow+black Color pallet for the cast. It looks great on all of the characters I play, whereas I've found their in-game colors disappointing. Also the Past stage/music DLC; firstly, does it come with Bang's old FRKZ theme and/or a way to switch the new one to it? Secondly is there a way to straight up buy the codes needed to get it, or if not where can one order the BBAM discs required to get them. Much thanks to any who can answer my questions.
Verimeloni Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 The colors are famitsu only, stages/themes AM LEs only. I'm not sure but I suppose the new FRKZ theme is here to stay.
