"I don't play new character X, I'm back to my original main" - Everyone

Lucky for me, I don't have a "main" in BB. I'll be sure to play the cool dude with the Kanji jacket/cape. I'm a sucker for characters that don't wear clothes properly, especially if it makes it look like a cape. Gameplay, balancing, play-style, it all doesn't matter. Clothing matters, color matters. Remember kiddies, your outfit determines the outcome of the entire match. If you lost, then you should probably pick a new color, or get a cape.

Now take what I have taught you all and go win some tournaments.

I always like to try the new characters to find if they are of my liking or not, sometimes i end maining/subing them, other times they simply don't click, from those new 3, the one that have my attention is Azrael, there is something Raoh'ish about him, plus i like that HNK dash reminiscent that he has.

The best way to win a mirror match is to use the other player's color. They will be so disorientated they will put their inputs backwards and drop blocks. This really just makes it a race to get out of the character select screen as fast as possible to get this huge advantage.

No streams up tonight?

And don't forget the Kamina palette!

Azrael seems pretty dominant. I'm interested in seeing what sorts of counter strategies people will come up with for him.

That actually happened to me one time during netplay. I'm used to always using white Jin, so this other guy picked white Jin before me. When I get to the actual match, I'm over there doing backward inputs and shit. Normally, you'll know which character you are because of the character selection color highlight in the character select screen. However, that's not the case for netplay as you'll usually get a random side of the screen XD

I'm hoping that we get the rest of the Six Heroes in this iteration a little down the road after the console release. If not, we can always just way for CPII and CPE. I can't get enough of that Six Heroes theme.

Speaking of the Six Heroes, none of them seem to have a particularly friendly opening with each other. (I forget if Valk vs Haku/Plat is hostile). Even Haku vs Plat isnt a friendly opening, Hakumen damn near hit Plat with his sword when she tried to go up to greet him.

Hakumen is kind of a dick.

In any case, Valk & Plat is more or less neutral, as is Haku vs. Valk. Aww, no one likes Hazama...

Yeah, the game needs Jubei and Nine/Phantom, otherwise the Six Heroes theme just doesn't fit.

How is the intro of Plat vs Hazama?

Platinum fires kitty missiles at Hazama who jumps up to avoid them, he then says something and an image of Trinity appears behind Platinum saying "Yuuki.....Terumi!"

Posted (edited)

Plat throws super missles at him and Hazama jumps over them. Then he says the typical "Its been a long time Trinity", then a ghost of Trinity appears behind Platinum saying "Yuuki.... Terumi.."

Ill try to find a link

Welp, beat to the description. Still going to look for a link

Here

makes you wonder how they were able to defeat the black beast with all this hate going on xD

Enemy of my enemy...

Hahahah, how many opponents did you chip kill with him?

Enough :3

In some matches I feel like I have taken off 1/3rd of peoples health bars with chip. Of course, then they realize they need to barrier, and then I end up getting them into the danger state. Good players strike a balance between eating the chip and using their barrier.

I need to start experimenting with drill oki into crush trigger set ups. :3 :3 :3

I'm guessing that they were neutral up until the whole "Terumi betrays everyone" thing. Then they all got grumpy.

Does anyone have links to the Hakumen vs Hazama/Valkenhayn intros? Those are the only two Six Heroes intros that I haven't seen yet. Hopefully someone makes a compilation video one of these days with all of the intros. There seems to be a shitload this time around.

I think good counter strategies will be people no longer crouch blocking his overheads and falling for his dash crossups. Somewhat joking but, with new characters not only do people have to figure out how to play them but also how to play against them. I think in a week from now you will see a lot fewer players falling for Azrael's more obvious stuff (I watched a match video where an Amane crouch blocked his overhead three times in a row...)

Has anyone seen the new Tsubaki vs Noel opening, if so how is it

It's probably similar to the one from the trailer.

Well 4 heroes now so there should be 16 altogether. And a whooping 36 if they all get in the game. And do you mean the CS or CP intros

Yea true

Each of the Heroes at max would only have 3 special intros, not 4... unless they decided to comment on fighting themselves (which granted, Hazama did in CS iirc).

I'm not jumping on the wagon when I say I will main Izayoi. I played most the cast in CSE so it's not like I have a proper main right now anyways.

Izayoi cause MMZ and Azrael cause he's like Slayer's cousin.
