TekkamanArk Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Not quite a money issue, but I hope this releases on 360 and PS3 so I can play it with the friends I already have as opposed to having to find new people all over again by the time the other consoles hit. PS4 needs to show me more games before I get hyped for it. The only one of those PS4 unveiling games that interested me is Watchdogs and MAYBE InFamous Second Son. More companies need to show PS4 stuff too. I need to see a fighter on it more than I do the next action game. Darkstalkers 4, Rival Schools 3, Plasma Sword 2, or Street Fighter EX 4 from Capcom, BBCP or Guilty Gear whatever from ASW, KOF XIV or Maximum Impact 3 from SNK, etc. Maybe a new Power Instinct or Killer Instinct?

They just said that they would make a game for it. It doesn't mean "Oh man, cancel all our games! Get that PS3 trash out of here! PS4 coming in!" They just said they'd make a game. It doesn't even have to come out at launch. It literally could be any game they want. They can make one of those 99 cent apps and that would still count as support. I understand what you guys are trying to say, but the reactions of some of the people here are kind of too much. Even if they release it onto PS4, it'll be AFTER they put it on PS3 and/or 360 first. Releasing BBCP on PS4 exclusively (or next-gen only, for that matter) would be financially moronic. No company is going to take a huge risk by releasing a flagship title on a system with what will be a relatively small install base for months when they know they can release the same game on consoles that can already run the game and are guaranteed to make them more money. It'll take a long time before PS4's numbers get anywhere near PS3's. Seriously, guys, don't worry about it. Just wait for the game, it'll come.

Henaki Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 (edited) Arc Systems will probably just port over Blazblue or P4A as a DLC title on PS4. No biggie. Probably not a new game, but it'll probably be the platform for future arcade ports, and backwards compatibility will be likely, and IIRC all games are available digitally from now on along with disc release, so yeah. With the new hardware that isn't a pain in the butthole, easy ports, free money. There's no way playing a fighting game through the streaming service will be considered acceptable, so a paid PS4 version of BBCP isn't out of the question IMO. Edited February 28, 2013 by Henaki
Ctrlaltwtf Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 (edited) Judging by how comprehensive PSN's selection of old games is, I can easily see lots of PS3 games ending up as downloadable games on the PS4. The Vita already does this with a huge selection of PSP (pretty much all of them) and PS1 games. Aksys's priority is not PS4's selling, it's copies of their games selling. They sort of shot themselves in the foot with the cell architecture of the PS3 (or rather they shot backwards compatibility in the foot). The new architecture for the PS4 at least will make cross-platform games with PC much easier for developers. As for backwards compatibility for PS3 they're saying "hopefully sometime in the future we'll figure something out but not now." Still, PS4-exclusive CP would be fucking stupid. They're already got a huge fanbase of PS3 owners all ready and eager to buy the game. ----- As for actual CP discussion. I just noticed in this vid that Hazama does a normal grab that auto-corrects. Also since you guys are already talking about it, any news on a new 360. I've sort of been away from the gaming world allot so about all I know is sony announced their ps4 and the new FF will have crazy homeless guy beard details.

Usually the person will get teleported into the person's throw if that happens though. The guy doing the throw does not switch directions. Wasn't there already a glitch with Hazama and his throw found out.
