Does anyone with a decent connection even notice a difference in performance between hosting a two player and six player lobby? I don't notice any difference at all hosting a large lobby personally so I can't see how increasing the lobby count means the netcode improved.

I forgot how EX netcode works but its possible it could affect it. The way i understand it is that since it is all peer 2 peer, the 2 people playing the match need to upload their input data to every other person, which could induce lag if someones upload rate is not up to scratch. The amount of data sent is quite small though. But that is why when you see that message in marvel when you're a spectator that if you leave then nobody else can watch the rest of the match, because the players playing are uploading the data to you and then you are forwarding that data to everybody else in the lobby, so the players have much less data to transfer and the amount of data is more predictable since you are only uploading to your opponent and one other person.

It says 1-8 players... 8-player rooms confirmed. Better than the 6-player rooms from previous installments.

It also lists "Action Adventure" as a genre. Previous games listed "Visual Novel". I now wonder how different the story mode will be in CP.

Perhaps they're mixing Abyss's RPG elements with some kind of 3D adventure overworld or something.

Nah, but that would be cool.

Could be like Soul Calibur III's Campaign Mode, except obviously not so glitched that it does not work. You also won't be using a created character, but a specific one per section. It also allows for branching routes in order to ger the standard True, Bad and Gag endings as well.

I don't. But I hate 6 man rooms because I'm not going to get better by losing once and then spectating for 4 matches. :P Super unhype for 8 man lobbies, since that'll mean all the clowns who think "Yeah, let's just make the room as big as I can" will be doing 8 man rooms now. x.x

I always thought it would be neat if they expanded on the whole stat boost system by making the increases permanent and having your "leveled up" characters playable in other modes. Of course, it could be turned off and would be deactivated by default in any online or local versus mode—it would more or less be there to beef up the single player experience. I highly doubt they'll ever do this, but I might not get another opportunity to share this idea so there you go.

For the increased lobby size, I suppose it's possible they might make it so spectators no longer take up player slots. That way you could have a full six-player room and still allow a couple of people to watch if they felt so inclined.

Those Kagura hitboxes. His emblem looks like a fortress.

Terumi still making me pretty damn hyped. Maybe he'll be close to mid ranged. As opposed to Hazama whose midrange is nonexistent

Are the parts of the article about Kagura and Terumi the same things as stated before?

Not every single piece of information from the magazine is there, but pretty much yeah.

This seems important.

Also, in the screens involving Kagura's specials, Jin can be seen Barrier blocking in the first:

But getting hit in the second:

Maybe it's meant to imply it's unblockable?

EDIT: Okay, last edit, I promise. But DAMN, that middle picture - I don't think feet are meant to bend that way, Kagura.

Celica is really cute.

It sucks Terumi was all "lol bitch die"

Well she was old by that point and probably not as cute.

After examing that article, I only know this things about Kagura:

- charge character

- unwieldly weapon

- stance based

- also has a projectile

- unblockables?

I wonder if Kagura's projectile will look something like this:

About Kagura's emblem: It reminds me a bit of a calmer version of Ragna's. Furthermore, that special he has looks a bit like a beast face. Think he might be another Black Beast guy, similar to Ragna?

All I'm seeing on Kagura's emblem is his gigantic black shovel. Nothing more, nothing less.
