TekkamanArk Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 It's probably something for XBlaze. That's what i'm thinking at least. Though I do hope it's something bigger than that. The needle symbols around the outside of the image are likely indicative of Kokonoe. While the middle symbol is reminiscent of the crest on a samurai helmet, and i'd love for Jubei to be in (with the helmet meaning he'd be donning his armor), it's more than likely foretelling Celica. I don't know what's up with the top and bottom symbols, but they just seem like part of the side symbols.

I hate how English licensors recast willy-nilly. This anime is gonna be the first time I hear the BB characters in Japanese, actually...it's gonna be wierd for a few episodes.

The plot is going to be even harder to understand, the fights are going to be badly animated, and the humor is going to feel more forced than in the game... Wait a minute, I felt the same way about JoJo, and it was the best anime of 2012. Let's hope I'm just being unreasonably pessimistic.

Tales of the Abyss anime was rather poor. If we're talking Tales anime, the Tales of Symphonia OVA series is a much better example of good game-to-anime conversion even though Tales of Symphonia is pretty bad in terms of story. Persona 4 anime was also kinda okay, I mean it wasn't that bad but it felt kind of hollow in terms of experience. I don't think there's ever been a truly good game-to-anime adaptation. At least not non-visual novels (Steins;Gate anime was pretty good).

Spoil alert! So 2 Jin players won those last last chance qualifiers, can we say now Jin is definitely top tier? Those were pretty free, maybe tomorrow they will encounter some Hazama Valk and Taokaka gods too and will clash. But except the commentator, there wasn't hype between people in that room.
