I'd like to note that this is the article from Kurushii's scan, so we already got all the Terumi info translated.

Huh, according to this http://www.famitsu.com/images/000/035/490/51c8136665319.html Terumi knows he is in Kagutsuchi (he refers to it by name). Yet, wasn't he sealed before any of the hierarchical cities were complete? Wouldn't that mean that if he's there now, that there are now two of Terumi running around in present time?

what someone on the story thread deduced was that hazama decided "...okay forget it I'm going full power" and unleashed his form as terumi. :/

Then again, Terumi is an observer. So he could be like Ratchel and remember everything.

The NOL clothing under the hoodie implies to me that Terumi is at least going to show up in the present when he gets pushed too far to keep up the Hazama personality at all.

However, given his importance in the Darkwar, and that they've already shown they're too lazy to make art for young Jubei/Mitsuyoshi, I wouldn't doubt that Terumi's past and likely present appearances will have the same art (using Terumi's hoodie coat over the intelligence department uniform).

I've been wondering since the new tier list came out, why is Relius now considered stronger than Carl? did they really improve him that much?

Well, that seems as a guess as any. Though, if that really is Terumi from the past... that means there are two Hazamas running around.

Poor Ragna. He already has enough trouble dealing with one Hazama.

That's the first time I've heard of that. If I had to make an educated guess, it's likely due to Relius's new attack (The one where he makes that gear thing come out of the ground.).

Why do you think Hazama's outfit is some sort of "uniform"? It certainly shows no sign of adhering to the standard NOL uniform design guidelines (Like, being excessively complicated. :P). I think it's just a fedora and longcoat because he thinks it looks stylin'. Plus. Intelligence division. He's probably "plainclothes". He can wear what he wants. It's not NOL issue.

That doesn't make the hoodie look any less stupid though.

It's not an uniform. But he wore different clothes under that weird hoodie in Phase Shift 1. And that makes no sense.

I'll admit I never thought about it being plainclothes. I just thought every department had its own dress code. Intel not having to wear uniforms outside of events like parades makes sense though.

What I was really getting at was the "wearing different clothes" aspect. And my own opinion that given how convoluted the story already is, and how nuts powerful Terumi is, that having TWO of him running around would be extremely silly.

Just having him be Terumi in the Six Heroes storyline and as a "power-up" in the present makes a lot more sense to me.

We have to remember that the old Terumi has two Kunais, the BBCP Terumi has his Hazama's Fang Knives, so i don't think there are two of them.

No it has to do with his new switch blade move that pulls in the opponent without the need of Ignis. I mean the drill does play a roll when zoning but it's not as important as the switch blade since it allows him to extend his combos without the need to depleting Ignis' gauge, and saving her for oki set ups.

Because he's less reliant on Ignis for combos his oki game has improved significantly and he still does good damage. Also Ignis has recieved some buffs herself, of which I'm not quite sure of but I know she now has super armor on some of her moves, which I believed she was sorely lacking in CSEX.

Or, to simplify:

Relius got buffed.

Carl got nerfed. (Overall, anyway.)

Carl's main problem now is that he needs meter to do damage. His damage, combo routes or a mix of both require either crush trigger, rapid, or point blank in the corner compared to many of his combos starting with meterless cantabile in the past.
