LionHeartx Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Kagura's flash kick looked safe on barrier block, some of his normals really do have massive range. Yeah I was thinking the same thing, his sword normals are monstrous and a safe flash kick? Looking good Kagura
Narroo Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Yeah I was thinking the same thing, his sword normals are monstrous and a safe flash kick? Looking good Kagura Maybe Mitsuru will finally have an equal!
May-Be-Zig Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 was this posted ? Terumi, Kagura and Kokonoe Gameplay Analyse http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djdAZdC4jXc
InWithTheAshes Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Yup, I think this got posted before, although the channel linked was Jourdal's.
CrisisEdge Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 That video was only about 5 min long. There is a 19 min version here. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/1379734574
Dreiko Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Yeah I was thinking the same thing, his sword normals are monstrous and a safe flash kick? Looking good Kagura I'd hesitate calling the move a flash kick, it's more like an upwards moving slash. Either way though, yes, you can hear Pachi say that "even if blocked, you're ok" since it seems to be air unblockable and barrier pushes you back.
SoWL Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 A nice write-up on Kokonoe's normals is up on jBBS, though the Graviton placement is described differently from Kurushii's observations. I'll leave it in just so the picture is complete. 5D places the node right where Kokonoe is. 2D places it at the center of the screen. 6D places it on the opposite side of the screen. 8D places it diagonally upwards. Pressing the button in mid-air might change the placement slightly, but it's still generally the same. 5A is pretty high, though it's not suited for anti-air usage, like Hazama's or Ragna's. 6A comes out pretty slowly, but is an obvious anti-air tool. 2A is similar to Taokaka's and is pretty cute. Don't remember whether it hits low or not. j.A resembles Relius's: you can mash it to keep going till Kokonoe lands. ATATATA 5B has about the same range as Hazama's 5B. Counter Assault got this move's animation. 6B is a two-hit ground overhead. 2B is a low attack with an additional input that makes it deal two hits. j.B is a two-hit attack with an additional input, as well. The range is pretty decent. 5C summons a mecha-ish cannon and attacks with it. 2C summons a drill hammer and attacks the enemy's feet. If they are crouching, you can link 5C into 2C. Fatal Counter. 6C has a similar animation to Platinum's 6C, though it may not act the same way. Fatal Counter. 3C is a two-hit attack with the hammer that draws the enemy in. Since the second hit floats, you can kinda link it into specials.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Kagura HP ~10500 A bit lower than I expected... Terumi HP ~9500 o_O...
Diveman Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 So is Kokonoe a zoner? she looks like it.
Kurushii Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 A bit lower than I expected... o_O... All rough estimates. I took a screenshot before a combo starts, then another screenshot 2 hits in when it shows the damage amount. Measure out the distance that total 2 hit combo did, and make boxes for it's size out over the entire health bar. Multiply the amount of boxes with the damage value it was, and round up to nearest 500. Terumi's looks like a major nerf as his was reported for 11k, like Hazama, in the loketest.
FatalCounter Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 (edited) If Kagura got 10.5K, I will be so pissed, lol. Well, I will wait and see. 9.5k for Terumi would be too low, but most of chars with 9.5K are beasts, so.... BTW, I remember that in BB, Character health gauges don't scale the same way. There are some chars that the first part scale quickly while the rest scale a bit slower Edited September 21, 2013 by FatalCounter

There are some chars that the first part scale quickly while the rest scale a bit slower. For example Bang, the first part of his health scale quickly while the last part scale slowly. I don't remember correctly but I think I read it on Dustloop wiki, on this site anyway. I will find it. just wait until they all get owned by golden tager overdrive. XD (max damage was 11K I believe)
FatalCounter Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 just wait until they all get owned by golden tager overdrive. XD (max damage was 11K I believe) Lol, you are right, we are all owned by Tager and Hakumen overdrives.

Starlight777 Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 So Terumi has 9.5k for health? The same value as Carl, Tao and Bullet? Ok it just bugs me that Platinum can take more damage than them for some odd reason.
Maho Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 BTW, I remember that in BB, Character health gauges don't scale the same way. There are some chars that the first part scale quickly while the rest scale a bit slower The character specific non linear lifebar was only in CT, it's the same for everyone since CS.
Dreiko Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 So is Kokonoe a zoner? she looks like it. She doesn't seem to zone as much as just set up stuff for ages. She seems like setup-based and complex, kinda like Rachel.
SuperOast Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Has no one talked about Terumi's super and the way it uses up all your remaining heat (after the first 50) and becomes stronger and gets a slighlty different animation depending on how much you had left over? (Looks like 75 and 100 give different animations.) I hope all of his supers are like that. Also Kokone looks strong as fawk.
Canine Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Kokonoe's health actually seems closer to 10500. Since here onwards you can actually just add up all the damage because thankfully every hit was some sorta combo and not chips or anything. (837+1840+1400+1400+1400+2195+1200+738=11010, but in that last 738 was a 2 hit finisher where the first hit finished and the 2nd was just extra, so 10500 is reasonably her health) Sadly there's no luck for this in both the Terumi and Kagura sections of that vid on Nico, oh well.
LeDom Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 And here comes a new trailer http://youtu.be/JDHUbEPMDcU We see a few clips from the opening in it (or at least, I think they are). The hype...I don't think I can take it!
Myoro Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 So Terumi has 9.5k for health? The same value as Carl, Tao and Bullet? Ok it just bugs me that Platinum can take more damage than them for some odd reason. According to Errol... she has 11k health
Kurushii Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 (edited) A nice write-up on Kokonoe's normals is up on jBBS, though the Graviton placement is described differently from Kurushii's observations. So they think 6D and 8D are the same as my guesses, that's good. I watched over it again frame by frame to double check stuff as it was early as hell in the morning with no sleep for me when I did the studies. 5D summoning on her I don't believe, as every time a Graviton was placed on her was when she was at the screen edge and she moved 3-4f backwards exactly before the summon animation started. 2D summoning at the center I don't believe, as every time a Graviton was spaced in front of her there was not even 1f of a downward animation. It went straight from neutral to summon frame. Now my 2D guess at opponents feet was incorrect. Looking at the video again it was the opponent that summoned the Graviton that appeared at the feet. It confused me at first but I was tired last night to verify. Unless there is a 1D, highly doubt as usually 3 is the only crouching command normal, so when the opponent did their drive while crouching it would of been infront of them but it was behind on the ground instead. So 2D is actually behind Kokonoe at the ground. We only saw j.D used once in the video and it looked just like a 5D in the air, basically at 8D position if you jumped. Tager Ray's maximum damage in OD is around 11000 For the users overreacting on it's damage value. It's OD + 100% heat cost. You normally don't have that heat available till around astral range (~35% or lower on the opponents health) unless you saved meter, ib'ed a lot, and took some hits. We don't know what the startup is on it but I doubt it's fast as Kokonoe summons Tager, a button platform appears and she presses the button, he charges up and shoots. Only idea I have for setting it up is Banishing Ray or Flame Cage(w/Graviton) to hit before it... which doesn't seem exactly hard with how her mixup game is with Liar Haze. ---------------------------------- Now for more data from the same video. Flame Cage (214A/B/C) = ~2.5% total heat gained on block with Graviton summoned. ~837 total damage with Graviton summoned. ~5% total heat gained on hit with Graviton summoned. Absolute Zero (236C) = ~3300 damage on block with Graviton summoned. ~27% total heat gained on block with Graviton summoned. ~4% heat gained on hit that freezes. ~12% total heat gained from gatling gun followup. Broken Bunker (236A/B) = ~16f startup. ~1%, 2%, 1% heat gained Throw = 7f startup like others. Damage is 0, 0, 1400 ~10% heat gained. 2B = ~9f startup. ~3% heat gained. 2BB = ~8f startup. ~2% heat gained. 5B = ~10f startup. ~1% heat gained. 5C = ~13f startup. ~3% heat gained. 3C = 738 total damage from both hits ~16f startup. ~1%, 2% heat gained. Solless Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 (edited) Slightly off topic, but was it ever revealed/leaked who was going to be doing english voices for Kagura? Also, 11k health for Kokonoe sounds ridiculously high. Edit: She leaves on a super segway, effing awesome Edited September 21, 2013 by Solless
TekkamanArk Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Slightly off topic, but was it ever revealed/leaked who was going to be doing english voices for Kagura? Also, 11k health for Kokonoe sounds ridiculously high. Edit: She leaves on a super segway, effing awesome As far as I know, the only known voice is D.C. Douglas as Azrael. There were supposed reports of Kagura being Liam O'Brien, but I don't recall that ever getting confirmed, and I hope it never does, because that list had Amane as JYB. I've never played Blazblue in Japanese, and I don't want to be forced to with BBCP, but I will not have JYB coming through my TV.
