tofurr Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Yes, he's been a Rachel hero for years. He was the first to give us some slight hope to play Rachel in CS1.
kirbster Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 wtf Matsu is back? Can't wait to watch that when I get home!!!
gamester Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Just having some problems finding him on NESiCA. Trying my best to use the YT video with their user/name and comparing it to what I see on the rankings to try and find him.
Kurushii Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Just having some problems finding him on NESiCA. Trying my best to use the YT video with their user/name and comparing it to what I see on the rankings to try and find him. Easy to find... search Rachel and Chiba Prefecture. Here you go: http://sp.bbcp.ac/member_profile_view.php?user_id=30317
gamester Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 I didn't know he lived in Chiba Prefecture. Thanks for finding his player profile nonetheless, apologies for the trouble caused.
Kurushii Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 I didn't know he lived in Chiba Prefecture. Thanks for finding his player profile nonetheless, apologies for the trouble caused. Was no trouble, I enjoy hunting for stuff. Chiba Prefecture is the home for GameChariot which is what I took my assumption on.
gamester Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 (edited) Fair enough. I'll try and keep that in mind when attempting future searches, thanks again EDIT: Mazo-Hime (Matsu) has now been added to the list of Notable Japanese Rachel Players. Edited September 9, 2013 by gamester
samthegreat Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Rin-hime is dropping Rachel for Kokonoe (I knew this would happen though).
gamester Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I don't know much about Rin-Hime but I could tell they liked Kokonoe just from their twitter avatar and today, a load of explanation marks dotted around their tweets. Must've caught the news I assume. I'll keep them on the list of Notable Japanese Rachel players for the videos that feature them are still worth noting
samthegreat Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 N-O got absolutely bodied by Shiro's valk in the 1on1 tourney... That was the saddest/dumbest thing I've ever watched in my life.
Dreize Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Go Shiro. Though, I've been wondering. Is there any way to actually test whether or not I'm doing the j.A IOH properly? It feels like I am, but I just can't be certain.
gli Posted September 21, 2013 Author Posted September 21, 2013 1. Go to Training Mode and set the dummy to Record. 2. Record yourself performing the j.A IOH. 3. Play it back and as the main player try to mash between the jump-cancel normal and j.A IOH (should be gapless).
samthegreat Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Yo fuck Shiro. I want a rematch tonight.
Dreize Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 That is quite literally exactly what I did earlier. About 85% of the time I wasn't able to mash out. The other 15% I either traded with her or mashed her out. I guess this means that I'm doing something wrong. Exactly how gapless is it? Yo fuck Shiro. I want a rematch tonight. Dat signature. You're supposed to be pro-Valk not anti-Valk. Why Sam, why.
samthegreat Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 It's 100% gapless if you do it from 5B. I am a pro Valk double agent. Waifu goes first though.
Dreize Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Dammit Sam. Out of curiosity, should 5B > IOH j.A > 5B be able to connect as a legitimate combo?
samthegreat Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 No but 5B > IOH j.A > j.B > 5B should.
Dreize Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Well, that explains pretty much everything. If I did the IOH perfectly I could never connect the 5B after the IOH j.A without adding a j.B. Evidently I was under the misconception that Rachel could do IOH j.A > 5B. This led me to believe that I was doing something wrong, and as a result I would slightly delay the j.A in order for the 5B to connect thus tarnishing it's gaplessness. Oh how pathetic, now I feel silly. Should have watched some Rachel play before straining my brain with self-contrived nonsense. Thanks for clearing that up Sammy-Sam-Sammers.
moofpie Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Is the white Rachel who's fighting N-O in the most recent video Emurisu? I'm not used to seeing a Rachel other than N-O win several times in a row, lol. Rachel mirrors make me barf.
tofurr Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I actually thought those Rachel mirrors were hype. The first time I've ever enjoyed watching them and I have a new found appreciation for Emurisu.
kro_ Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I actually thought those Rachel mirrors were hype. The first time I've ever enjoyed watching them and I have a new found appreciation for Emurisu. Agreed. It's the most entertaining mirror in the game when both of the players are good. That doesn't happen too often though.
Zoular Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I've not tried yet but, is there a way to turn the way you are facing while escaping the corner like this? Without double jumping. http://youtu.be/kvQVdaorcH0?t=15m43s Is it all you had to do was use barrier!?
gli Posted September 24, 2013 Author Posted September 24, 2013 Yep as seen here with j.A later on http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=kvQVdaorcH0#t=17m29s
