drzero7 Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 I think all of these crazy stuff is mainly cause of the new Forced Back system. They're not used to it and thus they didn't fix the overall damage scaling and create brokeness. I'm not saying get rid of it. Just saying it needs more work.

(I won't mind a CH that ground bounce) And geesh, they figured out Gravedigger loop once again for Testament. Going for "1-hit Gravedigger" (kinda reminds me of 1-Hit Ensenga back in GGXX) and gravedigger rebounce looping. (My gosh, a Grab>6K_6HS>Gravedigger x3~5!?!?) Millia's juggle looks funny with the j.D, Airdash, j.D, Airdash, j.D thing.
SirSmoov Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 so far the game lookz fine to me (minus the brain dead 75% combo i saw with jam)...mainly because most characters i've seen can do big damage........though i think it'd be more appropriate to play 3 out of 5 rounds for ac....the games just dont last as long as they used to...i've seen quite a few 3 round games played in under 3 minutes....koichi and ka2 can probably end a 2 out of 3 round game in under 50 seconds in ac...

Other players such as 012, shuuto, domi, mike and H.H were there as well. Then again, maybe what I posted doesn't belong to this thread to begin with. So feel free to shift it or delete it. well it's off-topic but i'd hardly delete useful information. i'm sure people would appreciate it if you posted more of your observations in the GG AC Discussion thread in the Guilty Room, and even in some of the character-specific AC discussion threads, if you haven't already. i know i'd love to read about what the most current tactics and combos are.

The hard part is working in the 75% tension opener. It's been great in every game so far, and find how often it's used by the Japanese in match vids. It's practically never.

Dunno waht matchs you guys are watching but ive seen that jam loop quite a few times and it does like half life, and makes your gaurd flashing after just a loop or on block pretty easily.... It still does ridiculous life even with out the super buffer on it...
KJunk Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Oh I was referring to the super opener almost never happening. I've seen two iterations of the 5HS 6HS loop in quite a few vids now. It doesn't look much different then a slayer SSSS or a ky 6K S 6K S kinda deal.

Caer-caveral Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 It's a valid combo, and she does it twice from pretty low guard gauge with equally high damage, so it can't be a coincidence. Guess Baiken's dust will be the new thing to truly fear =)

AtTheGates Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 insane vids from maturundesu and roz to beni. my oppinions so far: testa: nice new corner "pin" with: normal, front exe x N. looks strong since front exe will come out even if there's a trade, and a CH means launch? axl: damnit, his new loops look really strong. don't require much tension, lots of damage, knockdown... what a pain. may: a lot more dangerous. you really have to take her seriously now (not that it was any different in slash, i just think a lot less successful mays were around "back then"..) i-no: too early to judge. some stuff better, some stuff worse..gotta wait for some koichi matches. i love her new notes though. pot: 2s is insane. easy combos midscreen after slide head + 2s, better mixup midscreen after heat knuckle - strong stuff. johnny: seems like db transport / blade after transport will be a rare thing in AC. the new air move + FRC looks more efficient in the same situations (except for fast movement over the screen..) some funny moments: DC vs. anji, roz to beni match: 2nd round, dc just stays in mist stance for about 6,7 seconds, moving backwars. anji shoots a butterfly, DC doesn't move at all, just waits..it disappears a few pixels before him that's what i call spacing.
