StarGazer Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Crush Trigger have 100% P2 + It have a unique property that makes it bypass the Combo Rating proration reduction which means that using CT should not reduce the scale of the upcoming attacks at all. Think of it as a free damage (although comboing into it is kinda hard + it takes 25% heat)
BlackKaizer Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Speaking of her crush trigger is makoto's one of the better ones? I dont see most others used very often, if at all, even for combos, with the exception of hakumens, though I haven't memorized them all yet so I may just not have noticed.
Chaoschao222 Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I notice Ragna, Rachel, Tao, and lately even Nu use theirs fairly often, but would say that Makoto's is one of, if not the most all-purposely used.
Bibiquadium Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Me and Eshi will maybe be on the NEC steam http://www.twitch.tv/St1cKBuG in like 1h
BlackKaizer Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Latest combo vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0o8NM8PoOE&feature=g-all Her damage output overall....is decent compared to noel at least....maybe, using her 2/5Bs for corner carry, and 5B for her 3.3/3,8 damage combos midscreen, will be her game though breaking 4k outside moves like 5b wont be happening often. Also it seems her supers wont be adding much damage outside OD, so saving them more for mix up, and crush trigger, was perhaps the developers intent. Also is it me or has their been far fewer makoto's recently? It started happening when more players started using noel, and figuring out that shes even MORE braindead then her CS2 pre patch, but even better........

It works very well with our offense, and in combos we have more accessibility to it more than most of the characters. Add to that, Makoto's CT looks cool. Me and Eshi will maybe be on the NEC steam http://www.twitch.tv/St1cKBuG in like 1h Missed the whole thing, what happend? Most noted is that 6B proration sucks now =/ Lander Blow can combo into 5A for ok damage PF is still good Our OD is still the best OD in the whole game countrary to what others think, its cool, its awesome, its useful in a lot of aspects, loved it. Based on the JBBS always precise tier discussion lol, Noel looks low-tier'ish and so does Makoto but i wont buy what they said about Makoto since she shines at high level so they could be wrong. I doubt they left Makoto for flaty. Also, Goro left Makoto for Nu :/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mE4AonE9vA#t=9m57s
mAc Chaos Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 It's Nu. How could they not go back to their roots.

Though for combo purposes makoto may very well be the best.
mAc Chaos Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 On a random note I really like her song in this version.
HiagoX Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 Also, Goro left Makoto for Nu :/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mE4AonE9vA#t=9m57s Yes, he did. If you check out his twitter account, he's constantly posting about v-13 and how he needs to get better with her.
Goldchampion200 Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 On a random note I really like her song in this version. Me 2......
Yazumatto Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I thought the original was better at first but now that I've heard it a few more times, I was dead wrong. The remix is too hype. After hearing what Nu got in her release article, I just knew there was no way Goro was going to stick with our girl since Lambda was his original main. I'm definitely looking forward to watching his Nu play though since I started with Nu in CT (yeah, I was a bad person). That and I want to see if another Makoto can destroy his Nu in tourney (doubt it since he kinda knows the matchup a little too well, being the best Makoto player and all).
StarGazer Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Just saw this: Mars Chopper > RC > 2B 5CC 5D > 2D > j.B j.D = 2200 damage? yeah the combo was bad, but Mars Chooper P1 looks much much worse, it could lead into 5000 from that confirm in EX. looks like it will be only 3K? Everyone can be a good Makoto, but only Goro can be Goro Makoto. He is the only Makoto player who uses PF Dash on wake up to punish low meaty's and to punish some strings with it after IB. His footsies are top-top quality, i've never seen anyone able to make it to his level, he is using Barrier kara to whiff punish the latest pixels of pokes... Man, he made BBEX much more entertaining, wish him a good luck with his Nu =/ If she sucks, he might change back to Makoto lol Alexandrite II is hella hype, no doubt. This. Just when i thought that Alexandrite couldn't get any better, and we even have a new vs theme now and i heard that we share memory of tears with Noel and Tsubaki? thx ASW <3 Now all what is left is a good role in story and i'm sold.
Yazumatto Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Sometimes I wonder if Goro went back to Makoto because she was bad in EX and there were very few notable reps. Now that she isn't actually the worst (I have no idea who that is. It may very well be Makoto again according to you guys.) she became boring again to him. I find the complete opposite to be true in EX and CP but what do I know?
StarGazer Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 the worst That will be Tager, poor thing still can't win a lot of his match ups :/ imo Makoto looks straight better than EX (it cant be worse). How good is she? idk, and i can't count on what people say at this early time especially when it comes to Makoto.
MoneyD90 Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 At the moment she seems like a decent mid tier but I could be wrong because her new side switch and pressure tools. Plus her OD has a lot of potential to leave a lot of people very salty once she turns it on. Also, I have to get in on that Alexandrite remix love. You can tell they really put some effort into making something that's shockingly better then the original.
Yazumatto Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I wouldn't say shockingly better but it is actually 10x hyper than the original. If Alexandrite gives me enough energy to run a mile or two, Alexandrite II will get me through a marathon. Also, you guys know damn well that Nu will be top-tier. (Future) Based-Nu god is going to wipe Tager off of the character select screen. Good luck beating him with Makoto since he's based-Squirrel god too. The only way I see Goro coming back to our girl is if he wins so hard with Nu, the game becomes boring to him again. Am I crossing my fingers for that? Maybe. I'm just hype to see him thrash people with the psycho-yandere robot chick.

Is her OD as good as most say it is, cus I've seen a hakuman recently deal a viable 9k combo with his in a match......and so far I havent seen her numbers reach anywhere near that yet.
Chaoschao222 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Hakumen's 9k OD combos have required the Mid or Low OD setting (not sure which it is) and are reliant on having 100 heat and being relatively close to the corner. I'm sure with the same parameters, Makoto might be able to get around there as well. Also, Haku's OD has been shown to already be pretty high up there in quality and salt-mining, just because his is great doesn't mean Makoto's isn't good.
BlackKaizer Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 ^yea.....The corner combo I saw required only a mid OD meter with haku at a little under 40% HP, and neglected to mention the starter move was his freaking insanely fast overhead tsubaki of all things O_o Its true she may be able to get around their somehow, but I hope by viable means :/
SolAscension Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Give Goro some time, he was playing lambda for a little bit in extend before he came back as Makoto to claim his supremacy as god of Brazbrue.
StarGazer Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 http://jbbs.livedoor.jp/bbs/read.cgi/game/45148/1354300493/161 OD tier list. Yeah, Hakumen's OD is like a core mechanic in his gameplan, so it will be the strongest naturally. But no one can deny how our OD can be both "stylish and functional" lol. But I will still miss the GB combos, great days...
HiagoX Posted December 4, 2012 Author Posted December 4, 2012 I actually think our OD might be one of the best ODs in the game. Not as good as Hakumen's though. lmao
Arc Raizen Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 (edited) Here is a good video with 2 fights of a Makoto player actually using Lander Blow a number of times during blockstrings for safety/frametraps: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=uXVtfXbVll8#t=263s It really does seem like a good mixup that might trick people a good number of times leading straight into a counter or at worst a straight-up safe move.
