...see now I want old parry back. Back then, I wasn't reading into frame data much. All I knew was that parry was really good for some reason.

P1 120% and safe? Damn. :/

More like how parry's snap hit was like P1 120% so getting an anti air was like 4.6k meterless/6k+ meter with it gained in combo.

Holy crap. That's much better than the parry we are stuck with now.

I think it should be comboable by standard, but give it worse proration, since 4.6k meterless off one catch is pretty crazy, lol.

CS1 introduced me to Makoto, but I never knew you could get that much damage off of the parry, may have to look into it!

Perhaps, but a possible delay 5B instead make it less desirable to do so instead of DP.

Hence why it sorta worked.

Grabbing makoto during her parry doesn't count as a throw counter does it? Pretty sure I could still tech grabs if they grabbed me during it in CS1, but that changed in CS2, which made me a sad panda :/

CS1/2 Parry couldn't be grabbed and could be canceled into anything since it didn't had a cd. As mentioned above you could Parry > 5B if people were mashing to "bait" your parry and if course, CS1/CS2 could corner carry into oki off any hit etc.

You can tech throws during parry in CS2. However, that's not possible anymore in EX since it puts you in CH state. Reverting the parry nerfs back to its CS2 status and with the cooldown that would be just perfect. CS2 3C was just right on spot too.

I think her OD combos are probably where the most fun will come from. It's so ad-lib lol

I'm pretty sure he could have continued the combo after the Lightning Arrow but ending it with BBS was hype. If he was closer to the wall, that Cosmic Ray could have connected.

What I'm looking forward to seeing is what Makoto can get off of Parry > OD Cancel or Parry > RC > OD.

Hell, what is possible off of Parry while already in OD. I seen barely any Parries at all and although it still isn't great I'd like to see it.

Dora is pretty much saying that Makoto = No Future and that Valken > Goro any day.

So is this a legit tier list from Dora or is this just a way to get a shot at Goro?

If it's the former, it looks good.

If it's the latter, I'm gonna need to see a FT10 MM.

Valkenhayn is for chumps though. His damage output is pretty much broken. 6k meterless is pretty stupid.

And he is boring as hell to play, all his combos look the same.

edit: lmao at the tier list. this is the most broken blaz ever. I thought the tier was a bit exaggerated, but it's looking true so far, too many S-Tier imbalances at the top who are "off the charts" good.

Maybe there will be a balance update for the PS3 release since it is coming out so late. Atleast I hope that's the case because some of the cast are stupid broken atm... Just watching that Goro vs hakumen and seeing hakumen's OD damage made me feel like I was watching a MVC3 match.

There would have to be a balance update to make it playable at competetive levels. There can be gaps between chars, but the gaps in CP are HUGE from what I see. :/

I've never seen so many S-Tier in one game, lol...

It doesn't bother me none though, as long as Makoto is playable, I'm low tier warrior for life! :toot:

I mentioned a balance patch being a possibility for the console version over at the Tsubaki boards but these are the answers I got:

ArcSys has NEVER released an independent balance patch for a game of their own IP. Ever. Every single rebalance has been through a completely new version of the game.

There's a relatively good chance that there won't be a "significant" title update to the arcade version until after the consumer release because of the new characters; they're being offered as pre-order DLC incentives, this incentive is ruined if they release the characters in arcade before hand. So there will probably be a "CP2" sometime after the release of the consumer. Much like how Mu wasn't immediately added to the arcade version of CS.

Aka, don't expect one.
