Overheat Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 (edited) I don't think it's a DP. I've never seen it used to get out of pressure. I think it's a risky AA at best, and a combo tool at worst. I assumed that Nu could get 7k off a 6B starter considering it's p1. It's probably her best punish. For placing 214A and CT in as early as possible, would it make more sense to go 4B > TK > 5C > 214A > CT > 236C. Assuming that 5C and 214A connect and that CT can follow up gravity and of course 236C connecting. For her 6B combo, I would guess it starts like 6B > 3C > 214A > CT > 236C. I haven't really seen Nu use CT in the corner so can't say for sure 236C will connect to it afterwards.5C might be the best punish, but it's not as fast... I sadly don't think TK > 5C connects anymore. The untech time on (Luna) TK's seems nerfed. 214A > CT doesn't seem to work. If it did, then we could definitely do 5C from 214A, which I haven't seen yet. CT > 236C works in the corner. Edited December 10, 2012 by Overheat
hakimiru Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Just popping in to say I haven't abandoned thread (although I have been slacking off recently >w>), there's just nothing of note recently on the jbbs. Mostly people talking about the match videos, etc, but if you've been watching it's all stuff that's already known. Also, that Carl name in the video thread ...best reference X3
Durkslag Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Comboing into C sickle looked pretty awesome and they had some great matches in those vids, hope people will figure out some fancy overdrive stuff soon =D also found this awesome random picture I have to post, Nu riding a shark because why not
Afro-Demon Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BEqKsTTey0&feature=youtu.be last match. finally, I get to see some of these combos in action rather than just thinking "...huh, i wonder how that works." Edit: Oh sorry, didn't notice you moved this comment to the video thread at first my bad. I'm from the Carl forums, so excuse me if I'm not used to organization. Nedel_3773 Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Overheat is our Godly Lambda member. You'll learn to love him just like we I do.
toanenadiz Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Didn't need to change it. 'we' was right. Overheat is awesome.
tuka Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I think what I'd like to see most is if 6DD > 2DD > IAD j.2C > land > combo still works. almost... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=xh1dCd2n21A#t=88s
Hellknight10 Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I just hope the netcode is good so that I can fight Overheat more than just once
someonewhodied Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I want to create super flashy unviable combos ASAP!
_Yaya_ Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 I just hope the netcode is good so that I can fight Overheat more than just once I just hope the netcode is good so I can join tournaments....... Obviously late though

perfectdarkmarc Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Hi all, just a quick question(s)...Is the color featuring predominantly white armor with white hair and a little black with blue projectiles back in CP? Please for the love of god say yes! O_O I've seen one that has the blonde hair but not the white hair with white armor which I personally think is amazing. Also, are the 10 colors shown going to be the only colors available or no? Or is it too early to ask such questions? Thanks!
Overheat Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 I'm guessing not..? Hopefully one of these is close enough. 1-6. 7-16
Juunee Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 That 9BS palette so gooooooooooood. I'm so torn between that and Justice ;_;
Durkslag Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 I will be using the Justice palette like I always have but overall I think CT Nu had better colors compared to the new ones, also kinda disappointed that she didnt get a Lambda palette =/
Hellknight10 Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 that purple one resembles my CS palette the most, but it isn't as obnoxious as before so idk if I'll use it whatever I'm totally going to main the Noel color swap anyways also why does Mu even get Lambda colors D:
Mightfo Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Is there a nice summary anywhere of all the differences between her two modes? 3c combos, 66 cancels in Nu, saw oki(?) and more projectile durability on D in lambda... Doesnt nu also get to use gravity field more?
toanenadiz Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Not yet. Was gonna go through all the stuff we have and do that tomorrow on my day off.
ElegantShadow Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Just a small question. Did Nu's astral become more optimal like everyone else's? The reason I'm asking is because I've yet to see any battles where it was even attempted to be used, so I'm just wondering if it's still the same short range grab as always.

Doesnt nu also get to use gravity field more? To give you some info about what you asked though. Nu has two modes: Dia and Luna. Luna mode has that halo thing above her head The Act Parser 66/44 cancels are only available in Dia mode from D moves and 6C (also possible in the air) Luna mode has the 236D oki still, though it has less hits. Dia mode 236D is like CT Nu's except it knocks back full screen similar to Lambda's 236B Dia's drives are projectile level 1. Luna's drives are projectile level 2. Dia's gravity has no hitbox and takes 30% of the gravity guage. Luna's gravity has a hitbox and ground bounces on air hit (it forces crouching on ground hit) and takes 70% of the gravity gauge on whiff. Just a small question. Did Nu's astral become more optimal like everyone else's? The reason I'm asking is because I've yet to see any battles where it was even attempted to be used, so I'm just wondering if it's still the same short range grab as always. Seems that way. No one ever mentioned anything about it besides its new input. Edited December 13, 2012 by toanenadiz
Legacy Edge Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Seems that the number of Nu's went up by quite a lot from CSEX. I remember watching only yoshiki, purotosu, tsukasa, mamman and naga from back then, now its a new Nu ever second vid or so (which is good of course). There weren't that many fans of Lambda, huh?
susano Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I wonder how would mode change be on pad? When the game comes out?

There weren't that many fans of Lambda, huh?I think it's more that it's a new game. I expect the numbers to go down a little bit with time. Another reason might be because I generally only posted videos of good Lambda's, or of matches where new things were being done. With a new game, there's a lot more new things being learned as people discover new things. I wonder how would mode change be on pad? When the game comes out? I'd imagine 22A wouldn't be that hard on pad. I'm sure there are some Aigis pad players here who could tell you more about it. I think the game will be released on consoles in April at the earliest, so there's still a lot of time before we'll be able to test things out ourselves.
HexaNoid Posted December 13, 2012 Author Posted December 13, 2012 I wonder how would mode change be on pad? When the game comes out? Like Overheat said, 22 motions aren't too difficult on pad. I played Noel on pad way back in CT and had no problems doing her haida loop. It's just about getting used to whatever controller you've got.
