Chaoschao222 Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 if you're such an anime perfectionist, go make your own "perfect" anime. Just don't sit around looking for reasons to bash another's product. "You can't say that food tastes bad, a chef made it, and you can't even cook!" The 'if you don't like it, why don't you do better, then?' argument is incredibly childish and frankly illogical. People are going to point out the blatant flaws in this show, and they don't have to be super anime experts to do so. Like SD already said, start talking about the show instead of the people who like/dislike it.
Teutonicknight Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I kind of like how it's slightly different from the actual CS storyline, otherwise it'd be way too predictable.
FinalDoomGuy Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 (edited) I have wanted there to be a BB anime for a long time, so when I saw there was going to be an animation for BB, I became very excited. I have not been disappointed at all by any of the episodes, sure, there have been episodes I liked more than others, but that definitely doesn't mean I think the ones I liked a little less "suck". I loved all the episodes I've seen so far. Some people seem to be looking for reasons to tell everyone this anime "has bad quality" or that it is "crappy" or "sucks". And I find that annoying, if you're such an anime perfectionist, go make your own "perfect" anime. Just don't sit around looking for reasons to bash another's product. I'm not trying to bug anyone, or be that so-called "guy", or get infracted/banned, I just wanted to make a point and get some perspective in here. Sure man, I'll just go ahead and get my own animation studio and rights to make a Blazblue anime. Oh wait, that isn't a valid argument at all. The same way that if a chef pisses into a bowl and calls it soup when serving it to a customer, then even if the customer doesn't cook he can still rightfully say that he's in fact been served a bowl of piss, we can say that the anime isn't good without having made our own anime. "You can't say that food tastes bad, a chef made it, and you can't even cook!" The 'if you don't like it, why don't you do better, then?' argument is incredibly childish and frankly illogical. People are going to point out the blatant flaws in this show, and they don't have to be super anime experts to do so. Like SD already said, start talking about the show instead of the people who like/dislike it. Oh hey, here we go. Someone already beat me to the 6A. *crashes through pillar.* The reason why we're saying the anime is bad is due to them thinking (Edit: Changed from fact) that the anime is bad, and we're pointing out our reasons for saying so, for example the horrible pacing, the poor animation quality, the poor fight scenes, the lack of characterization for most if not all of the cast, the fact that some of the cast hasn't shown up and generally poor to mediocre dialogue. Shinhwa Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I kind of like how it's slightly different from the actual CS storyline, otherwise it'd be way too predictable. That's what I like about this anime. But the ending is sadly already set =w=;;
InWithTheAshes Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 is due to the fact that the anime is bad *opinion that the anime is bad. Even if I also don't care for the series in the slightest, considering that quality isn't objective I still wouldn't say it's a "fact" that it's shoddy. I'd also say that, while the dialogue in general is irritating and sometimes laughable, that particular line was probably more Crunchyroll's subber's fault than anything. Although, even if it is opinion, some cases as the one you replied to really do seem to be stretching interpretation of the Anime's events to their very limit in defense...

Accidentally wrote in fact, I'll go change that.
Shinhwa Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I wonder how the anime would have been if it was done with a studio that had more budget Q.Q
Lucalibur Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I assure you that the reason the anime is as 'bad' as it is, is not because of the budget alone. Sure, a good budget helps, but there HAVE been shows in the past with a low budget that WERE good. The reason for this show's low quality seems to be a combination of lack of skill AND effort from the studio. Good budget doesn't help much with characterization and things related to story telling in general other than having to cut it a few chapters short depending on the episodes limit. It does help with the animation, fight scenes and whatnot, but you CAN make a good story, AND show with the limited amount of time this anime gave so long you put effort into it, which the studio sadly doesn't seem to be very willing to do because of points I mentioned before. That is just my impression of the situation, anyway.
Shinhwa Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 It's seriously a shame how this series turned out kind of badly If there is a chance for a remake or movie adaption, I hope when such chance comes, it will be better...
Volt Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 ("The end has come! ADVANCING ON YOUR POSITION") That was Funimation's subs fault. Hakumen says it like that in Japanese, but Aksys changed it and made the best line that Hakumen will speak. This is also the reason that Nox are called Arch Enemies
BlackYakuzu94 Posted November 25, 2013 Author Posted November 25, 2013 Yea, Aksys are the ones that usually do the localizing and why most of the ubiquitous terms are a thing.

This is also the reason that Nox are called Arch Enemies Arch enemy never bothered me though. I mean you litteraly hear them say it both in the anime and the game (while the translation says Nox Nyctores in text). I don't see how you can get confused by it.

I'm more bothered by the lack of consistency with the game localisations.
Shinhwa Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Can't wait for tomorrow's episode LAMBDA~~~~~~~~~~~ <3 <3 <3
kylehyde Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 I haven't even seen the episode yet and I'm already feeling let down LOL. It's like the day before the new episode comes out and I'm like thinking to myself, "please don't suck please don't suck please don't suck."
ReRe01 Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 just watch your self and see if you like it or not kylehyde this is just members who do and don't like it see for yourself and judged it that's what I'm going to do I rather see it myself than to listen to ones who seen it or still watching it.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted November 26, 2013 Author Posted November 26, 2013 Considering I've enjoyed the series despite its lack of polish, I look forward to today's episode. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SoWL Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 As expected, this episode was pretty much the retelling of Lambda's joke ending with some corrections. First, they introduced Arakune (since the tartar has to come from somewhere). Second, Ragna takes Makoto's place (who has a short scene with Noel instead). And third, Lambda gets a cool Nu-like coat out of nowhere. Once again, the episode felt pretty good to me, especially the way they animated Arakune. On the other hand, it feels like they've spent a bit too much time on a filler-ish episode, but since Lambda is pretty important in the CS story, I don't mind as much as with the hot springs episode.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted November 26, 2013 Author Posted November 26, 2013 So another filler episode......*sigh* Well, it makes you care about Lambda I guess.
Yazumatto Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 ...I don't like that they strayed from the original. Makoto and Lambda are so cute together. Why mess up a good thing? :/
raziel12 Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 even if it was a filler episode i really liked it it seems no matter wat he do he cant escaped but to be involved with the prime fields in someway

Betto Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Once again, the episode felt pretty good to me, especially the way they animated Arakune. Yeah, I thought it was pretty well done except for that part where he went up some stairs. It was freaking hilarious to see.
Shinhwa Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 YES YES YES YES YES THANK YOU ANIME STAFF THANK YOU!~~~~~~~~~ <3 <3 <3 LAMBDA X RAGNA EPISODE I FREAKING LOVED IT <3 <3 <3 10/10 RATING <3 LAMBDA WAS SO CUTE THIS EPISODE~~~~ CLINGING ONTO RAGNA AND SUCH KYAAAAAAA <3 TARTAR CAME OUT TOO YEAHHHHHHHHH (Well it died though) MY MOST FAVORITE EPISODE SO FAR <3 DAMN YOU ARAKUNE FOR HURTING LAMBDA D:< YAY FOR RAGNA FOR SAVING LAMBDA <3 DAMN YOU KOKONOE AND TAGER FOR TAKING LAMBDA AWAY FROM RAGNA *RAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE*
Shadow Draygon Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 I was waiting for Shinhwa to post. You didn't disappoint. As for the episode itself, more filler, but better than the hot springs as it set the precedence of Lambda's soon to be sacrifice. I really want that smooth piano version of Gluttony Fang that plays when Hazama is in the sewers with Arakune. Why was he there anyways? Guess he just loves dragging Nine through shit. Yeah, I thought it was pretty well done except for that part where he went up some stairs. It was freaking hilarious to see. Ragna's archenemy is stairs. It's all he's been dealing with the last couple of episodes.
