I think the fixes are terrible, the only reason many people watched this was to make fun of how poorly animated and told it was, and now they're fixing that on DVD.

It offends me greatly to see the original artistic vision infringed upon.

Dont be so uptight. At least they are putting effort in it. Even though its not the best in improvement, at least they decided to improve the animation.

Not sure if this has been seen yet, but it's pretty neat.

Wait, that's the Blu-ray version? O_o Looking at how the quality improved by a lot, I actually want to try watching the Blu-Ray version. If my theory is correct, then I think it is possible the anime staff put more effort in the Blu-Ray version than the TV-air version. Like the TV-air version is the sample and the Blu-Ray version is the true version of the anime with better art and animation quality, but we will have to see.

Anyways as for episode, they did a good job in adaption.

Too bad we didn't get the "DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT. So it was like that... So that's how it was... Saya!"

But I think they poured in their remaining budget on the final episode for sure.

Glad they showed Lambda till the end. (LAMBDA~~~~!!!!!!!!! TAT)

Also, they used tons of Mu-12's moves, which I liked.

The scene where Ragna uses Idea Engine on Mu-12 was way better compared to the game (well yeah, the game's animations were too vague/short and sucked)

But if there is one thing I didn't like, is the way Ragna's arm disappeared. They should have kept his arm breaking in cracks like in the game instead of just going WHOOSH and disappearing =_=;

I liked the interaction between Ragna and Jin by a lot, as one of my greatest wishes of this series is that Ragna and Jin make up as brothers and go back to being a good family again instead of being in a bad relationship.

The scene where Relius tells Hazama to stop was way too short and Imperator's appearance was way too short also, compared to the slow appearance in the game. But her evil smile made up for it somewhat.

And what is up with the anime staff inputting so much Rachel's emotional face anyway...? O_o

Wish they put in the conversation between Kokonoe and Ragna, but they totally overlaid that with Hakumen and Rachel's conversation =3= (WHAT THE HELL D:<)

Glad they put in the epilogue with Nu's revival.

So here is my overall rating of the entire anime:

Episode 1: 7.5/10 (No background or history, explanation of characters, whatsoever. Good animation however. Loved seeing Nu)

Episode 2: 7.5/10 (The anime staff's decision on how they animated Ragna vs Nu was bad as in the games, Nu's armors were supposed to come off/break but they did not do that. Still good animation. Nu's battle scene was good)

Episode 3: 6.5/10 (Good Terumi animation. No explanation about Carl whatsoever except him being a Bounty Hunter and that Nirvana is an Arch-Enemy. Kaka Kittens and Taokaka were cute and funny. Liked the conversation between Hazama and Relius.)

Episode 4: 7/10 (Fine overall episode. Just normal stuff I guess. Taokaka and Kaka Kittens are cute)

Episode 5: 2/10 (Bad fanservice episode. Animation was bad. Was not even needed at all.)

Episode 6: 7/10 (Good Lambda vs Ragna episode. However the animation and art quality after their battle was terrible)

Episode 7: 4/10 (Terrible animations and art quality. Relius choking Noel saved it)

Episode 8: 10/10 (Anime original episode which should have actually existed in the main game to make more sense. Lambda x Ragna was just too cute and lovely, also very heart-warming episode)

Episode 9: 7/10 (Good Jin vs Tsubaki Episode. However, the attack animation quality when Tsubaki attacks Jin with her shield was bad.)

Episode 10: 7/10 (Good Terumi/Hazama VS Noel and Makoto episode. However animation errors were seen and some parts were done poorly)

Episode 11: 8/10 (Awesome Ragna vs Terumi episode. Actions were done somewhat poorly and vaguely however. Lambda's death scene was more heart breaking and better done compared to the game)

Episode 12: 8/10 (Good action episode. However the scenes after the battle was rushed where things seemed kind of vague and less emotional compared to the game.)

Total: 81.5/120 = 6.8/10

Overall Review: The anime was pretty much targeted towards those who have played the game or have knowledge about the game's story. The anime could have been planned more better in order to attract new gamers or new fans (The new manga is able to do this). However the anime wasn't really good planned in order to take such factors, and too many animation/art errors were found throughout the series. The way they added some more anime-original stuff and additions towards the story while changing the story that leads to the True Ending was however, very well done. However the way they adapted Calamity Trigger was terrible as it only lasted like 2.5 episodes.

Because of this, the characters' history and background was barely covered or was not covered at all.

The anime could have been done better if it was 24 episodes instead of 12 as it could have given the anime staff more room to cover more of Calamity Trigger. Although the major art design of the characters are wonderfully done, the way how the anime staff's could not fully adapt that style fully in many scenes was disappointing (the art style warped from one style to another scenes to scenes - especially Episode 7). However this view can be ignored if the Blu-Ray version of the anime is more detailed compared to the TV-aired version (Ex. Episode 7 stuff is fixed and coloring errors are fixed in some scenes).

I very much enjoyed the anime overall but there were many disappointing things about it. If they are planning to adapt Chronophantasma in the future as an anime, I hope they will consider doing it as a 24-episode series instead of 12 (For one thing, there are 34 episodes total in the entire Chronophantasma story mode.).

Saw the last episode. Not having it subbed and the episode having a ton of dialogue didn't help. Still, the episode was meh like every other one. The fight was an improvement over the original CS ending but that's not saying much. Hakumen didn't do shit. Jin didn't do shit except get bodied. Ragna and Mu got to move around more but other than Ragna getting hit with Mu's moveset before giving her the pimp hand (and arm), it was meh.

Then there's the platform of super-villains. From the perspective of a person who's played BB, I still have no fucking idea why Litchi is up there with the rest of them since she got about 5 minutes of screen-time. One episode, she's tending to Ragna, getting groped and otherwise man-handled by Tao at the hot-springs, the next she's on the same platform with evil anime Michael Jackson and evil anime Jeff Dunham. Yeah, I know Litchi's backstory but that still doesn't make much sense from all the material shown thus far. Watching Phantom making the dudes in the chair disappear was kinda cool though.

Above all, Noel needs to shut the fuck up. Goddamn, girl. BAKA BAKA BAKA xN.

Now that the anime is over, I can't say I want all 250+ minutes of my life back. I might want to keep about 5 minutes of it (and encase the 3 seconds of Noel fluffing Makoto's tail in solid gold). It wasn't complete garbage but it was hella forgettable and poorly made. Although some of the complaints about the animation here were over-exaggerated, the animation is still overall poop. The pacing is awful, the decisions to deviate from the original storyline were highly questionable (but a bit understandable) and the fights were extremely disappointing. Seeing as how it's an anime based on a fighting game, I was expecting some godlike fights and in the end, I was let down. It was cool to see the characters animated but all-in-all, meh.

But hey, SD can go put his paws all over it and do things to it now that it's finished.

He didn't really do anything over half of the cast didn't do worse, but he still gets a lot of shit tossed at him.

Hmm, welp, that episode was actually not bad. I enjoyed it. I liked Ragna's "wtf" look when Mu brought out the astral. Overall, the anime wasn't completely terrible... but I went in with like the absolute lowest amount of hope possible for it.

Jin leads a hard life, always getting bodied.

Eh, it builds character. :eng101:

It was alright for a final episode although if I hadn't already played the games I would be pretty freaking lost.

I gave it a 7/10.

Would watch a second season of it for sure.

About frickin' time it's up. v.v

Yeah...Other than that, the ending is alright, more or less same than in the game, of course though the series is missing a bunch of conclusions (like what happened to the rest of the cast), but oh well. If they happen to do a "Reconstruction" or adapt "CP", I'm all up for it, but for now, guess this is it, and will have to move on.
