I dunno, dudes, I don't think Slash was "boring" due to its speed. I think Ky's and Sol's supremacy in that game is what made it kinda... erh, not as entertaining to see.

Well, I liked Slash for Anji since he was awesome in it (at least compared to "Vanilla" AC) and meterless Jackhounds for Johnny.

Put yeah, I never actually played it, (same boat, was too poor and scared to mod my PS2) so maybe it was boring compared to other GG's? I dunno.

Hey, if VCL becomes a lvl 5 move again and f.S wallbounces on CH, I'll deal with the slow.

Although I really don't want to think of Chipp's 30 hit j.K spam combos being any slower.

I was watching an interview with Mike Z and he was saying how Xrd looks slower than AC and more akin to Slash, which he found to be the slowest and most boring version of GG. I never got the chance to play Slash, since I couldn't mod my ps2, so I'm curious about what others have to say about Slash. I know someone made a video comparison of Xrd and I think Slash, and they were practically running at the same speed.

It's a shame Slash never got a US release. It was the best iteration of GG imo, despite Ky's stun edge having silly properties. I enjoyed it more than AC, anyway. It was like a rebalanced Reload + ABA + HOS + more moves + the good stage/music select. It had awesome running fireball detection, and maybe I'm imagining things, but it felt easier to do split-second overdrives and land reversals. I think there is a small group of people who still play Slash, actually.

What is this...I don't even...

The game hasn't been announced for any console :v: we don't even have a release time frame...FOR THE ARCADE VERSION!

Also regardless of when it drops Arc will be in a very interesting position on if they should opt for current gen releases or [what is now considered] next gen. Also, no, WiiU is not a next gen system.

People getting too hype!

Only bad thing is that there were like 3 completely garbage characters iirc. Didn't get to play it much so nothing to say about the gameplay outside of I wish I had gotten to play Slash Anji lol.

I'd rather see it on the PC but hey, good luck to them. Sigh...if only I wasn't 100% sure that an "Xrd for PC" petition wouldn't do so well...

One of the Arc guys strongly hinted at a PS4 release, didn't they? In any case, can't blame fans for hanging on and dissecting every little bit of info that trickles...no, drips out. Especially since the next tiny bit of info is months away...maybe. Hell, unless we have a Vita we can't even have +R to keep us busy.

Slash was awesome if your name wasn't Robo-Ky :v:

They said they're considering bringing GG to "next gen" consoles, which makes sense because like I said, by the time this game is in consideration for home releases, they'll be in that awkward transitioning phase between cycles. Arc has been confirmed as a PS4 developer and has stated they'd like to make a new IP for the console, but that could be anything and not solely related to their future plans with GG [although if more is planned after Xrd, then for sure next gen will play a key role].

I dunno, this just seems premature, like if there was a PS3/360 release announced, I could understand this, but in it's current state I'm just like "lol wut?"

Didn't AC+ sell less than the PS2 version? This kinda makes no sense.

I assume you mean the Wii which yes sold poorer than the PS2 ver but [from a business point] made "sense". The Wii has always had a ridiculously higher user base [even if not for the right reasons] so the risk of putting a game on it is justified by its large sales. WiiU isn't doing quite as hot [better, but still pretty lukewarm] so I dunno if Arc sees it as a viable platform, but I guess if enough superficial people speak up they'll make it happen [only to be disappointed that the reality is nowhere near as high as the prediction. Which is what happens with all of these types of things...]

Not only will we get to do overdrives by becoming one with the Wiimote, but we'll be able to do flashy combos with the stylus on the game pad. Just draw Stroke the Big Tree or Axl Bomber to make it happen! Or they'll map buttons to the screen to turn it into a makeshift arcade stick!

How can you not see all of the awesome possibilities? It'll even have FREE ONLINE if they include it, rather than subscription based Xbox or PS4.

If this wasn't so funny I'd be upset with you, lol

Hey, Mario Kart 8 or whatever supports up to 10 racers now. Maybe Xrd could support up to 10 players in Isuka-mode? :v:

Ok, I think I'm done. Xrd on WiiU would be cool though, so long as we get it on PS3/360 as well (I don't want to have to buy a new stick - you know any non-custom stick for the WiiU is going to suck).

OH OH, I'M NOT DONE. They can do that "TAP THE SCREEN TO DO RADICAL COMBOS" thing that was in the Vita BlazBlue if it's on WiiU. I actually wouldn't mind learning to do HCL combos by banging my nose on the touch pad like a seal if they were that easy.

I should add that there was no actual speed tweaks between Slash and AC. So I'm saying that Xrd in the trailer isn't any slower than the current Guilty Gear.

I wonder if anybody can keep their loyalty towards Bridget even after he becomes older in Xrd. Sigh, time is cruel indeed.

Not that we have any conclusive evidence either way, but I wouldn't be surprised if they threw out continuity in Xrd and kept everyone's design basically the same. (We have some reason to believe that might happen, since Eddie is, against all odds, still alive.)

That said, I'd really love to play as Sin, Izuna, Paradigm, Valentine, and Raven.

Some people fell to Amane, and he's clearly older than Bridget.

When it's about traps, age doesn't matter lol

Now, since you people are mentioning Raven, how can he and Axl share the same space-time? AKA how you will justify both of them in the game.

Aw jeez, forgot about that.

The upshot is that if Raven were in the game he'd be a great counterpick to Axl.

They've been in the same world more or less the whole time, Raven was just a background character. I don't see how him being playable would change this. If you actually played them at the same time against each other, a special intro would be cool, but I don't really see this being.. an issue...

Well, considering the series appeared on the Wii it's not not unreasonable. I am intrigued by ASW actually acknowledging it

They're gauging interest. After all both Accent Cores were released on the Wii. There's bound to be a small fraction of people who played the game casually on that console and want the sequel on the Wii U.

If that does happen and the online doesn't suck. I would totally get a Wii U.

And both of them had shitty sales.

Actually, none of the (big) Arcsys games on Nintendo consoles had any outstanding performance, IIRC.
