Blitz Shielding projectiles doesn't repel the character. I don't think Blitz Shielding balls will be effective. Close Slash though....hmmm

regarding venoms close slash and blitz shield: its still the 3 hit move right? and i may be wrong but i was under the impression that you couldn't use blitz shield in red parry situations or out of blockstun or whatever. so i'd imagine if you wanted to blitz shield that move it would have to be on the initial hit.

but maybe it would be possible to create enough time to blitz shield certain blockstrings/multi hit moves by IB'ing a preceding move or something. again i might be wrong but i think BS has 1f startup so it would be a very fast option. that would be kinda rad.

Hmm... Saw no mention of this, but are Slayer's moves still a bunch of late gatlings?

I'm making that assumption right now, honestly.

Considering the #R base, I'd say it's a save assumption that Slayer has simple chains (2K>2D, 2P>2S) instead of the things he had from AC.

Oh I didn't know you couldn't Red Parry with it....mmmm

I wonder if Slayer will be hurt by BS. Like, 90% of his strings have gaps all through out them. I guess that's a mixup in and of itself though. 5K>6K/2K, BS high or BS low.

as a man who uses dandystep starter combos, this is little to no problem for me :P

No. They 'feel' like links in that the moves can only be canceled at a certain point during a certain window. 2K>2S/2H/2D and 2S>6K/6H/2H/2D were late gatlings, though only 2H and 2D comboed from the 2S, and the 2H only on crouch/counter hit/done meaty. Was his thing in AC.

BS whiff leaves you in CH state, right? wouldn't exactly want to eat a counter hit #r pilebunker

Is #r Dead on Time (CH) that bad?

In #R, CH gave wall bounce, so free combo for no additional meter as long as you weren't too close to the center of the stage. I mean, it ain't like AC where you get a combo no matter what.

edit: in fact, since this is going back to a more #R-like Slayer, probably going to end up with a dizzy if you follow up with a nice pile bunker combo

Slayer did a ton of stun back then.

IIRC the japanese at the tail end of reload were doing 90% combos off a DOT counter hit. And they were always landing the double air super. (I did play dizzy though, she had DAT HITBOX in #r)

Honestly, I've never seen Pre-AC Slayer practically combo after a CH DoT. I can't even get a scenario to really work myself without them jumping.

What I did in reload was crosswise heel,5k, j.s j.s. then either up and close dandy into eternal wings (the latter is optional), or footloose journey

slayer and eddie were the reason burst was implemented in the xx series.
