Honestly for me he's one of the better ones, it's May that looks REALLY off to me. Millia looks kinda weirdly plastic too... I was hoping they'd fix the models up a bit more after loketest but D:

Henaki Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 I'm thinking the faces look weird because it seems like the faces themselves are flat and have textures on top, rather than using polygons so stuff like brows and nose bridges and lips and stuff are a little "flat" compared to the rest of everything which looks really polygonal.

The only ones that look good are the black guys; Potemkin and Venom because you can't see their faces I REALLY would like to know what it written on Ky's crucifix on his outfit. Daisuke usually has some deep thought provoking shit written all over GG characters. Except I-no, she just has sexy, leather, and BDSM all over her :/

Kitsoru Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Yeah, I think I prefer the charselect models shown in the article for Sol and Ky to the website art versions, as well.. Daisuke's CG has never been as good as his marker pieces, so I guess it's to be expected.

I'm going to wait and see if it changes up a bit (doubt it), I'm hoping it does. I really don't think this style fits GG one bit, the character models look so silly. I can't wait for more gameplay videos, though.

They look so cartoonish. The character selection styles are trying to steer away from anime style and looks to have Western taste blended inside from the way I see it.

That's why I have no choice but to love I-no so much. I'm glad they didn't mess with her original design. Well, they didn't mess with it too much....

Layer Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Decided to give the ol' Midnight Carnival soundtrack a listen and man, I totally forgot how much I love that damn thing. After Blazblue's more classy soundtrack and Persona's Jpop-ness, it's nice to get back to some hardcore guitars. Suck a Sage, still probably my favorite jam. Those solos! Really excited now to hear all the new versions of everyone's themes in Xrd. Really can't wait to hear the new rival versus themes as well, though nothing will ever beat Still in the Dark. And I'm hoping Valentine comes back just so I can hear her awesome song.
