No, it hasn't always been Star Wars in Soul Calibur, Solid Snake in Smash, freaking Mortal Kombat versus DC (?????), now...Speed Racer vs Ryu? SNK and Capcom made sense. Marvel and Capcom was a great idea and definitely tolerable with characters with similar powers and so on. Scorpion vs Wonder Woman, not so much. Hecatom Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 maybe for the occidentals like us dont make sense, but tatsunoko has a lot of iconic characters in japan, like marvel in usa, so maybe for them is tolerable and ideal. the crossover thing is only a marketing way to sell a game, that way they attract the fanbase of both sides. thats why many times it doesnt seem to have a logical reason or sense.

They need only to announce what arcade board, and (more to the point) what console it stands to be ported to, and I will make the necessary things happen to make sure this game is in my future.
SSMugen Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I dunno if I'd bother with this one. I personally am not of fan of Tatsunoko's works except for speed racer, samurai pizza cats(classic lol) and Karas. I tried repeatedly to watch some of the other shows but I just didn't cut it for me. But the cross edge game looks awesome since it actually fits together nicely. Unlike Tatsunoko where Ryu fighting the pizza cats isn't very norm. Probably gonna be a broken game as well.

In order to dodge the Morrigan mandate, and just in case Lilith AND Demitri get selected, you'd better hope that they have at least 4 Darkstalker reps so that we can get some of the more interesting folks in. Since Tatsunoko is a bit of an odd choice, I hope that Capcom goes and puts in some real crazies in addition to the usual suspects. In fact, since Tatsunoko has so many old works, it'd be great if Capcom pulled characters from their old games for this. The Forgotten Worlds guys, or the spear gun guys from Buster Bros., or whatever.
Hecatom Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 i belive that they will put characters of the 90 and before, so i see realy improbable the inclusion of karas, evangelion its gonna be really dificult because the rigths are of gainax and they are huges mechas. maybe we will see for the capcom crew people like strider, megaman, hayato, that way is gonna be possible see the samurai pizza cats and other odd chars, centella, speed racer and so many more
