z121231211 Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 It helps tremendously. When you pick random stage, a kitten dies. Please, think of the kittens. .__. Well shit. I always go random random, skip straight to the action. Thank you guys for making me realize I've been the worst person to vs online.

Midnight-Zephyr Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 When you keep finding stylish mode users in Ranked, especially Ragnas, smh Some guy I fought who kept playing as stylish Tao & stylish Noel. And just kept mashing C & D in midair. And then when I beat him with Flash Kicks, he started using stylish Kokonoe. Also people who obviously don't play Koko but switch to her when they lose, because they think she's an instant win character. I fought like 3 people yesterday in lobbies who tried that on me (not including the sylish guy.)

NecroTheReaper Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I've already semi-complained about it, but when you're up against that one whiny ass kid who finishes every round with "spammer" "way to spam" "spam so shameful" when he obviously doesn't know the first damn thing about the game. After a while I did classic scrub play with purple grab loops. He also claimed that him falling for wakeup Relius 22C 3 times in a row was a combo. Are there really people that think they're good at this game when they play like this and bitch you out cuz you beat their scrubby ass? He even bitched me out for picking Terumi and Kagura saying "do you only play top tiers?" It just irks me when good players think they're god and bad players think you're "cheating"
NecroTheReaper Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Ikr? He also only picked Hakumen and Litchi (mostly Hakumen). With hakumen it was really funny, he would run away to full screen, sit there, wait till 4 stars, then do wave super. Funnier that I found out he... plays Naruto seriously xD. I just didn't know how to deal with that kid.

NecroTheReaper Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Nah, his name was like mjsthebest or somethin like that. Also did what someone mentioned earlier and picked Koko in attempt to try and OP it with no knowledge of the game.

Monarch Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Or when you can't jump guard. I fought 5 Terumi players in a row. All of them did 6C full screen like it was CT Ice Car.
Kriegdrache Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Fighting the Terumi army just makes me appreciate fighting the competent ones even more. He's actually pretty scary.
BoltofShadow Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Or when you can't jump guard. I fought 5 Terumi players in a row. All of them did 6C full screen like it was CT Ice Car. That reason is why I only use terumi in select matches where its actually not a straight dumb idea to 6C. Its so tempting to use.

Icekin Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 When someone switches to your main and does all the tricks your supposed to be doing. I guess it's good to get another replay on what I'm supposed to be doing with Rachel instead of spending the whole match trying to get off the 5B combo I've been practicing, but it does get annoying after awhile. Also immediately switching to their sub after the first match and then feeling like they're toying with me instead of playing seriously. Really nothing I can complain about though until I get better. Are you me? This, pretty much.
Grimsley-San Posted April 27, 2014 Author Posted April 27, 2014 For the first time ever, I've had someone blame my connection for the lag going on in game. Know what's funny? My opponent picked snow town, and skipped the intro. He also was a 1 bar. Yeah, I was dumbfounded. I like how we almost get no lag ( '3') Except that huge lag spike we got.
StylisH Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Players who get hung up on tiers. God forbid I play a match with a character I enjoy and put the time in to learn......
Airk Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Players who get hung up on tiers. God forbid I play a match with a character I enjoy and put the time in to learn...... God forbid people have a fair chance against you when you do?
StylisH Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 God forbid people have a fair chance against you when you do? I don't see how tier placement equals unfair. Some characters have better tools than others to deal with certain situations. I simply use mine.

God forbid people have a fair chance against you when you do? I don't see how tier placement equals unfair. Some characters have better tools than others to deal with certain situations. I simply use mine. I have no problems with whatever character my opponent decides to pick, even if it is my worst matchup. Sometimes you just really like a character who happens to be top tier. It all depends on how my opponent handles using a strong character. What makes me mad is when people try to make you feel bad or tell you that you suck when they were using a character who matches up well against yours. That's like bringing a gun to a fistfight and thinking you won because you're more skilled than your opponent. At some point you have to realize, "Wow, this matchup is ass for my opponent. The odds are definitely stacked in my favor." Selfish people, however, seem to have this train of thought........: "Haha. I won. You lost. That means you suck balls and I'm the greatest ever. Let me rub it in your face and tell you how bad you are." I guess what I'm saying is that I hate people who brag about themselves and put down other players...ESPECIALLY if they use one of the best characters in the game. (Bonus points if they are doing it to a person who has only been playing the game for like a week <-- Seriously WTF is wrong with people who do this. Are you so insecure that you have to style against noobs to feel good about yourself?)
BoltofShadow Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Tiers are just a ranking on how often a character is gonna win in general. If someone picks Valk or Kokonoe, lets just say if I already picked a character I know is eh against them i'm gonna sigh and not enjoy myself, but that's the game. They're top tier because they're good, but just picking Top Tier doesn't mean instant win, if you have a dominating victory with a top tier that isn't Kokopuffs, then you clearly did put in a lot of work. Kokonoe though....jury is out on that one, not saying playing the character takes no skill, but i think this is just my salt speaking.

Kokonoe though....jury is out on that one. And those reasons are partially why I started using Izayoi (plus Relius was getting boring). If I'm in a player match lobby and people start the tier whoring routine, I just start winning with her. I play my stable based on technical difficulty, not "cheapness"
Errol Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 the safe way is always to play both. a low tier and a high tier. though the other side of tiers don't matter is that, the level most of us play at is dominated more about how damn easy a character like jin is rather than just tier.
Arcus Diabolus Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I agree. I never really liked Tier lists in general, mostly because people refuse to play anything below S or maybe A tier unless they are new as hell. It also makes learning lower tier characters harder to do since there is less overall support for them. As for my pet peeves, getting kicked on a loss or a close victory. Either one makes me mad for different reasons.
