Shinhwa Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 I honestly don't think Mori thinks at all when writing these game's stories. ...Okay, he thinks, but only in the respect of "what crazy bullshit can I pull from my ass THIS game that will utterly confuse everyone" I am just hoping he doesn't screw up to piss off a lot of people in the next game by killing characters that people actually like a lot. If he does eliminate Terumi from the game, a lot of people are surely going to get pissed. I am not sure if that will be the case if Terumi = dead and Hazama = alive in the next game, but we will have to see. Also, deaths may be inevitable due to the circumstances that happened in the story mode. A lot of the characters lost their strength to use any of their techniques as they no longer have any seithr to manipulate. But the day of destruction is also another factor to take in. But as Rachel said, the only hope the world has left is in "saving" Amaterasu.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 You'll be surprised to hear that creators probably don't care much for people complaining about him messing with your favorite character.
Shinhwa Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 (edited) You'll be surprised to hear that creators probably don't care much for people complaining about him messing with your favorite character. I ain't surprised. Don't worry. I have seen many anime/novel/manga series where a character that is loved by a lot of people gets screwed over because of the author/creator's decisions (Ex. Oreimo) Edited November 30, 2013 by Shinhwa
kylehyde Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Well Terumi was a new addition to the game so it's kind of hard to get attached to him if you ask me. Now I think people will be pretty pissed if they do kill off Hazama or Platinum. Why is saving Amaterasu so important? Is it because she can just rewind the world like in CT with all the time loops?

Now I think people will be pretty pissed if they do kill off Hazama or Platinum. Why is saving Amaterasu so important? Is it because she can just rewind the world like in CT with all the time loops? As Rachel told Ragna, Noel and Celica, the reason why Amaterasu kept on making time loops was because how things went in the main story did not go to her liking. But I don't know which that pertains to though. The story said that the Girl was the monster itself, but Amaterasu is not a monster. Practically saying, Amaterasu is the writer of the book and the protagonists are pretty much the cast in the book. I know there is more meaning behind this story but the question is "who is what" in the story. Amaterasu is the only thing that can rebuild the currently dying world. I wonder if there actually is someone inside that huge mecha XD
raziel12 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 their no doubt their someone in that mecha to be precise someone in the coffin with the emblem on it Blazblue CP Material collection 2 release date 12/24

Chaoschao222 Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 Speculation and CS-related speculation bye-bye'd. raziel's post is pushing it, but whatever...
kibakirain Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Was it ever mentioned in story mode on who is the "Girl" and "Monster" and who is the "Hero" in Rachel's story?

But as Rachel said, the only hope the world has left is in "saving" Amaterasu. They won't kill characters. Why? This is a fighting game. You can't kill someone off, their mainers will get pissed. Now, you could just have them as unlockable characters for Arcade/VS/etc., but if my main was killed and relegated to just a secret side character I'd be kinda pissed.
mAc Chaos Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 It's not like the character has to be in story mode to be selectable.
Master Of Chaos Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Justice and Kliff have been playable in Guilty Gear for almost every iteration of the series long after the first game, which ended with their deaths and loss in story importance. They won't take away a character just because they're dead or don't fight in story. Kokonoe doesn't fight once in CP and she's still playable, for instance. Back on topic, what happens between Valkenhayn and Relius when they meet in Six Heroes?
Shinhwa Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Was it ever mentioned in story mode on who is the "Girl" and "Monster" and who is the "Hero" in Rachel's story? Nope. But for sure the writer of the book is Amaterasu. I am not too sure if the "Girl" who writes the book is the one and the same person who is also the "Girl" in the story and is the "Monster". Rachel never differentiated them and kept saying "Shoujo". Another thing is how Rachel said the only hope left is to "save" Amaterasu. The way Rachel said the story was kind of confusing.
Calamitus Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Well, the truth is how Terumi did influence Kazuma where both of them were pretty much evil incarnate, and together they did experience like tons of timeloops, so I wouldn't be too sure about that. I thought Terumi has grudge on Amaterasu since he was in Susano'oh armor. If Hazama will share even that, you can safely call him "Terumi" (with some deviations in behaviour) Hakumen in CS arcade vs Hazama says something like "Vessel, huh? So you was created before this world was formed... Nontheless, your crimes will not be easily forgotten." It was confusing in CS times but now it feels like they planned to treat them as separate entities from start. Also, two more questions. Who was mentioned by Izanami in the end ("I will grant them worst death" with Relius part), Hazama or Terumi? Also Trinity created doppelgänger with Ouroboros for Terumi and yet Hazama still has it too. Does it means that you can just copy Nox Nyctores easily like that?
ImmaYuukiTerumi Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 I wonder when TvTropes is gonna be updated with some of the new info learned in this thread.

Terumi and Hazama were still linked, so they could still share it I guess. It isn't like they became 100% separate entities.
redsilversnake Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 If they keep to CP's story structure, they don't need to bring back any characters they kill off. Hell, that may even be a reason why they chose that method over individual character stories to begin with. I wonder when TvTropes is gonna be updated with some of the new info learned in this thread. I wonder how TV Tropes is going to get a bunch of the new info completely wrong.
Toxin45 Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 (edited) Well even if "Hazama" does come back I'll doubt he'll troll again because after his defeat in Cp he pretty much lost all of his invincibility and his ego would be crushed similar to Relius as well being forced to work for the heroes albeit for his own free will and also Izanami appearing and being the true villain of series means that she is the bigger bad of Xblaze since Sechs "talked" to the crystal about creating a world of death and Izanami pretty much used Terumi and Relius as pawns being responsible possibly for the former's homicidal and nihilistic personality. She could have been possessing Saya earlier since she casually walked with Terumi and Saya's sickness is really Izanami possessing her and framed Jin for bullying her and giving him yukianasa. She also let Ragna and Jin to die if that was foreshadowing. Luminos564 Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 So can someone explain to me if possible about the difference between the two types of "Chronophantasma"? I understand that the current Celica is the first type, entities that are not supposed to exist in the current present since she is a copy and the genuine article has long since died. But Rachel is the second type, people that "are supposed to have a different future" but am having difficulty understanding what this would mean for her.

Type 1: Chronophantasma (刻の幻影, Phantom of Time) an title for those who possesses an different "future" then one would normally had, there are exceptions. What can one say, something has changed much so that the future one had originally have changed. I even wonder if Noel shouldn't fall into this title as well, which might explain why she is on the Limited edition cover, because all three (Noel, Rachel and Celica) would be Chronophantasma. They are immune to Phenomenon Intervention from "Observes"(観測者). Type 2: Chronophantasma (居ない筈の者, One who shouldn't exist): What Terumi called Celica. "One who shouldn't exist" is an title for those who shouldn't be at that point of time. Because of that they aren't an observation target(観測対象) for the system and wont receive Phenomenon Intervention. And also the effect extends to those who are heavily involved with that person.

Is it like saying Rachel has many different possible futures?
Shinhwa Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 I just watched the Sector Seven gag reel and... o god it was too hilarious XD I rofled so much because Relius and Hazama go to an alternate world, where Hazama turns into a house worker for the Clover family and Relius turns into a real father with a happy family where Carl is a really honest child. Except more funny thing is how: 1. Bang becomes Platinum's father 2. Kagura becomes Makoto's father 3. Celica becomes Ragna and Jin's mom (well it is kind of true as she is their foster parent) 4. Kokonoe becomes the principal of Carl's school 5. Tsubaki becomes Carl's homeroom teacher 6. Valkenhayn becomes Rachel's father except he keeps calling her "Rachel-sama" 7. Relius goes back to the original world but forgets to bring Hazama back with him 8D Was freaking too funny LOL

General term for those that possesses a different "future" then the "Future" that they should had walked. Except for some exceptions. Maybe someone else can translate it better and more understandable...
