There is two types of Chronophantasma:

"Those who shouldn't be there"(Inai Hazu no Mono, Chronophantasma), Those who shouldn't exist in that in that point of time, And because of that they aren't a observing target for the system and are immune to Phenomenon Intervention. Also people that are heavily with that person is also immune to Phenomenon Intervention Celica.

"Phantom of Time" (Toki no Genei, Chronophantasma), Those who possess a different "Future" then they really should have had, there are some exceptions. Are immune to Phenomenon Intervention from Observers. Rachel.

The world is going to be reset, the DestructionDay(Horobi) have already started. Rachel what to restore it the way it was and thus is protecting Amaterasu, instead of a complete reset.

Horobi: A phenomenon that Takamagahara tried to activate however after the Take over Izanami and Terumi is trying to start it instead.

It is a ceremony when all souls return to the "source of the Azure"(ao no kongen) and the world is "formatted" and the "Successor of the Azure" rebuilds the world. This time however, a group of people chosen by the Azure known as the "Qualified ones"(shikakusha) remained in the world.

Not known, it's never said. All I could find inside the Library in Ragna's profile is: Ragna is struck by Nu's sword into his body and Izanami releases the ”Power of the Beast” and Ragna goes berserk.

And yes, it is the "Power of the Beast", not the "Power of the Black Beast".

1. Yes, Trinity turns Hazama into Terumi, Terumi fights Hakumen but Terumi runs away and later meet Trinity as Hazama again. Trinity once again tries to turn Hazama again into Terumi but gets interrupted and then Hazama gets away by help from Phantom. Later in the end somehow Terumi is met by Hakumen as a separate body.

2. Closet to a "name" for Bullet's gauntlet is "Bullet's Gauntlet" in the design art.

Are all arcade endings considered canon in BBCP?

In a way Yes, all arcade routes have happened however due to Izanami's and Amaterasu's phenomenon intervention "Tug-of-War" the time have "re-winded" and "rewritten" a couple of times. However the story mode does mention events from the arcade modes, so one should play arcade mode before entering story mode.

Hey Zedar, does Makoto interact at all with Ragna during the story (when she isn't working on helping Tsubaki or punching Kagura unconscious)? Their versus match seems to imply at least some degree of familiarity so I'd like to know if this was at all addressed.

Nothing I could remember. Could have forgotten but I don't think they ever talked with each other so really. That closet to a talk between Makoto and Ragna is when Tao tells Makoto in Makoto arcade that Ragna searches for Noel and Makoto is a little worried that the "grim reaper" is searching for Noel.

I fell that Amane is planning something, as can be felt with his dialog with Ragna early in the game.

Ragna: Sh*t! I must take care of Izayoi or it will be problems. "Anti Observer Armament"... if that is used on Noel and "something" would happen to her it is all over.

Amane: Hey, you!

Ragna: But what should I do. Tsubaki is for sure chasing after Noel... Should I find Noel first and wait for Tsubaki? Should I be that easygoing...

I wonder why Amane is so hung up about Carl, he have already met him since Amane does remember everything even tough time is re winded. He might be an Observer(boukansha) since he used the word observed(boukan) when he watched Rachel send Ragna to the past and back to the present.

I translated some more Dialog, this is directly after Azrael is teleported into the Dimensional Prison.

Hazama: Over in Ikaruga there seems to be a fun "party"...

I see, Colonel Kagura. Looks like his threat levels much be raised. It looks like he is plotting together with Kokonoe. But this seems to be something to enjoy. What fun "party" are they going to show next.

What is bothering is those guys... Trinity Glassfile, Valkenhayn, Jube and Hakumen. Their unexpected movement... It looks like Rachel Alucard is in the their shadows from time to time... It looks like we have to get rid of the Six Heroes soon...

I leave that to Phantom, the problem within the "group" should the "group" solve, and I don't know what colonel Relius would say. For being so quiet his scolding is persistent.

After that there is... Jin Kisaragi. This have become a bothersome "existence". Tsubaki Yayoi... that "trash" can probably do nothing about it. Even though she possesses "that" Sealed Armament Izayoi...

Well, the "Power of Order" and "Izayoi"s compatibility is the "worst" so it couldn't help I guess.

And also... I'm bothered with that I can't "observe" Ragna the Bloodedge. However it's probably the work of Kokonoe... It can't be helped. I will look it up on my side.

However, this "phenomenon" there was many things I couldn't predict. This is likely to be due to "Master Unit"s "Intervention" I guess...

It even starts to "effect" me... If that is the case the Master Unit have "come down" to quite a "close" place...

About to that little more and we can touch the "Iwa-to"...

So how is it going there? "Imperator".

Imperator: No problem. If there is anything it is that your voice is hurting my ears.

Hazama: Oh, how stern of you as always. Even I would feel hurt by those words?

Imperator: My "vessel" was once "broken" by you, It can be helped if there is some rejections toward you.

Hazama: Did something happen? Well, "Phenomenon Intervention" needs "enormous" energy to use. And not only that, having a conflict with Master Unit so even "Imperator" would likely get tired.

The talk was over anyway. 13, lets return to tuning.

Nu: Roger

Hazama: After the synchronization of "Sword of Izanami" and Noel Vermilion is over... The "Nemesis Horizon" will be open.

With that done the Master Unit...

Terumi: How many years... How many years... How many years have I been waiting! How many loops!? How many hundreds of Loops!? How many thousands of Loops!? How many ten thousands of Loops!? Hundreds? Thousands? Ten thousands? Billions!? How many times have this worthless comedy looped?

Kukukuku... Only a little more... A little more and my hands will reach... The lost "Embryo"

With that this Sh*ty worthless comedy will be over... Hatred will lead to more Hatred... Conflict will lead to more Conflict. The "party" will change into "Divine Calamity", all "spirits of the dead" will invite the "DestructionDay".

And so, the true BlazBlue will be given birth...

Hazama's comment about not giving Izanami his head is a reference to earlier in the story where Izanami offered to let Ragna kill Terumi if Ragna would join her.

Story of the Girl and the Book:

Rachel: Yes, a story about a book known as "the world". A story that is of relevance to the "successor of the Azure" and to us "Chronophantasma".

Ragna: Chronophantasma?

Rachel: Oh, could you hear something? Well, it doesn't matter. Do you two want to hear it?

Celica: Yes! Let us hear it, please.

Noel: Please.

Rachel: Okay, it will be a little long so bare with me.

Ragna: ...

Rachel: It is a story a bout a "book" and a girl.

That girl was captured in a place like this, a dark and cold place. A jail.

One day she was given a book. In that book there was a "story".

In a certain country there was a "girl" who was "captured" by a "monster". A hero appeared and the monster was killed. The end.

Ragna: Hey! that's all there is!?

Rachel: Shut up, ground beetle. I don't remember give you permission to speak.

Rachel: ... what was only written was the beginning and the end. The rest of the pages was empty.

With only this it wasn't a story. Therefore the girl started to write additions to the story inside the "book". By using "her own memories".

The "beginning" was already decided. So she had to only write the continuation. The Hero left on a journey, overcoming several obstacles... The story went over a "100 pages" and the Hero stood in front of the girl.

And... the Hero killed the "monster".

However, the girl didn't like this story. So she "once again" rewrote the story. However the ending was decided. The "conclusion" was always the same.

The hero stands in front of the "girl"... and kills the "monster"... And arrives to the ending. It's comical.

Ragna: ...

Noel: Eh? The monster is killed and it's a happy ending, isn't that how it is?

Celica: Rachel... What happens to the "girl" in this story when the "monster" dies?

Noel: Ah...

Rachel: That "monster" was the "girl" herself.

Noel: Eh?

Rachel: The "girl" who was captured by the "monster" from within... By the "monester" who consumes the entire world...

the girl rewrote the "road to the conclusion" "over and over again". Almost so that the book was "worn out". However, no matter how many times she rewrote, the Hero only kills the "monster"...

Never saved the the "girl".

After all... it was a "monster". It is obvious for the "monster" to be killed. The conclusion could never be changed. This is the looping "pre-established harmony".

The girl who rewrote over and over again begged the "hero", "Save me". However the Hero didn't listen. That is obvious, after all it is a character from a book.

An "Actor" only acts the role given. The "hero" only kills the "monster", and is given the title of "hero".

That is why the "hero" will never "save" the "girl". And so, the girl fell into "despair". After all, she is the one writing the story yet her wish isn't fulfilled.

But even if that is so, the girl believed. That the "hero" will "save" her.

She probably, "even now" believes it.

It is not known who the "hero" is supposed to be, it could even be Terumi.

Also, there was a scene when Celica talked with Ragna about Bloodedge, and in her eyes Bloodedge wasn't a hero(eiyuu) like the six heroes but a HERO(Yuusha). This distinction might become important.

And from the sound of her position, it seems that Amaterasu(the girl) is stuck and can do nothing so maybe the only way to save her is for Ragna to "break" the world using his power as the "Destroyer of the world"

Some more Amane dialog I have translated, looks like I have to split it into 2 parts:

Arcade:

Amane: When I finally found him. Carl, where did he go I wonder...

Rachel: Wait just there.

Amane: Well, if this isn't a beautiful lady. Do you have any business with me?

Rachel: “Answer me”, who are you?

Amane: Me? I'm Amane Nishiki, I lead a Dance troupe and is travelling around...

Rachel: I'm not asking for such a thing.

Amane: How scary. Don't glare at me with those “eyes”. When asking me who I am, that is all I can answer.

Rachel: Well then, let me change the question. “For what purpose” have you come to this “Ikaruga”?

Amane: Really. What a girl that likes to ask Questions. Okay then...

I heard that a famous vigilante with the name of Karl Clover have come here, so I wish to have him join my trope, you see.

Rachel: …

Amane: Oh, and one more thing... The beautiful “Vampire” lady, “Slave Red” doesn't work on me.

Rachel: Could it be... are you Uzume? Fufu, how interesting. You said that your name was Amane, let me test you a little.

Amane: That's right, the best stage! Dance is martial arts, martial arts is dance, to excel in dance one have to excel in martial arts.

If the main point of dance is inside of martial arts, then the fight with the one called ”warriors” is necessary.

But you know, it is no good with some ordinary warriors, it needs to be those that have the powers to ”change” the ”world”... Those warriors.

The best stage where the best warriors is gathering. I want to dance in that stage! That is my desire.

Story Mode: Takes place after Kagura have captured Ragna, also after Amane have met with Carl.

Rachel: Haa, how foolish that ”man” is. Don't you think that as well?

Amane: Is that so? I thought it was quite a nice ”stage”.

Rachel: Can you take enjoyment from a farce like this? You sure have a wide interests.

Amane: A persons dance is always beautiful. Especially that black one have ”beauty”.

Aren't you a little too salty?

Rachel: That isn't true, I'm always tolerant.

Amane: Well it doesn't matter. By the way, I isn't really one to say this but, aren't you getting a little to involved?

I think that you soon will get a retaliation.

Rachel: Thank for your warning. But, this is my way of doing things. Your worrying is unneeded.

Amane: I'm not worrying. I said it ”before” but, my desire is the excel in ”dance”. If that can be granted, I will at any time dance.

Rachel: …

Amane: Oh, I cant stay here! I was in the middle of chasing Carl, he ran away from me.

Rachel: You, are you chasing him ”again”?

Amane: You know, I'm bad at giving up. See you later miss ”Rachel”.

Takes place after Ragna has returned to present:

Rachel: Well then, I should go as...

Nago: Hm? What's wrong princess?

Gii: Huh?

Rachel: The effect came much faster than I expected it seems...

Amane: What was it I said. The retaliation, was bigger than you thought is seems.

Rachel: Amane, Nishiki. What business do you have?

Amane: Nothing really. It was only that I saw you here. So I observed here only.

Rachel: As I thought, you are that.

Amane: I don't know what you are talking about... But more importantly, an interesting person suddenly appeared. He seemed quite worried, so I ”just in case” talked with him.

Rachel: An interesting person?

Amane: Well, I'll leave now.

Gii: What's up with that person?

Nago: But he was a nice guy. I might have fallen for him.

Gii: But more importantly, shouldn't we go home princess?

Valkenhayn: Miss Rachel!! Are you fine!? Miss Rachel!!

Oh god, Hazama's arcade ending cutscene is as brutal as all hell, he just keeps stomping all over Ragna while laughing like a maniac and won't stop, I can't even laugh at it. Dude, how much do you have shit on the poor guy before it's enough for you?

Guess he didn't want to let Terumi outdo him. Still, was pretty awesome to see him freak out like that when Celcia appeared and shut down his powers. I think that's the closest we've ever seen Hazama get to wetting himself in terror.

Also I noticed that Nu, Mu, an Izayoi all have only two story battles. Is this exclusive to them or are there others who only have two Arcade special fights?

Apparently Amane seems to have met Nu before, looking by what he says when he faces against Nu.

"I think I have seen you somewhere before... but you must be not be a nobody looking by your killing intent"

Amane is apparently like Rachel, who is not affected by Amaterasu/Master Unit's time loop effect. Because Rachel had lost Tsukuyomi after she used it to protect Amaterasu at the ending, she had lost her power as an observer/bystander, and it is said Amane will succeed her position. Apparently Amane has an ability that has to do with Time.
