I'm saving up for the NA version personally, I really liked the translation plus I'd like to know what the fuck I'm doing when I play Abyss and get a powerup.

First off, it depends on your encoding on how large a character is. You see, they don't actually record the actual letters or symbols, rather the text is saved as a series of numbers. For example, in unicode the letter "A" is 61. You tell the computer to output letter "61" in Unicode format and it prints out "A". How much space a letter takes up in memory depends on how many "bytes" the number representing it takes up in memory. For a basic character set, a single letter can be one byte long and represent up to 256 different characters using the numbers 0-255. Of course, if you're encoding full on Japanese with Kanji, or multi language support, you might end up using a more complex encoding system where the individual characters are 2, 3, or even 4 bytes long. And, ignoring how the letters and syllables are represented internally, you have to consider that text doesn't actually take up that much space. For instance, a Gigabyte represents one billion bytes. If you use an encoding where each character is a byte, then you can have up to one billion letters, spaces, and symbols. So, for example, one of the longest novels written, War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy is about 580,000 words long. Let's say that each word, including the following white space or punctuation, is about 5 characters long; each word is five bytes, which would give a file size of merely 2.8 Megabytes. A megabyte is 1/000th of a Gigbyte. Actually, you can download War and Peace online for free since it's in the public domain. It's actual size is 1.3MB which is less than half of my estimation there. You could fit War and Peace into a single Gigabyte 787 times. So, in short, no. The English Text, or extra languages, are not the issue. They're not even close.

But yeah, pretty sure it's been proven that Mori wasn't entirely accurate about the difference in storage space. Even though he probably could've just pointed to the 360's low Japanese sales with no issue.

In the JP version, it's right under "Teach me miss Litchi", but in the US version, nothing there. I'm very bummed if they just left the whole encyclopedia thing out (possibly too much translation work?). I was looking forward to that

A thigh! And is that a waist I see? Censor them now before someone sees!" I hate censorship. I don't even want to think about what a train wreck of a translation is in there. I still have horrifying flash-backs about BBCSE. Also, is anyone else confused as to why they always change the way the title is spelled? It's spelled "BLAZBLUE CHRONOPHANTASMA", not BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, they've done it like this in past games in the series too, most notably in BBCSE. I just don't understand translating anymore. This has to be one of the whiniest posts about one of the stupidest things I've ever seen on this website, and I've seen a damn good amount of stupid posts. Yeah that they ever-so-slightly zoomed in the image of the LE is kinda stupid, but is it really worth crying so much over? How can it look terrible if it barely even changed, because you can't see a little bit of thigh and belly? If you're that eager to see Celica or Noel's various body parts the internet is more than eager to help you. Yeah censorship sucks, but if you're going to bitch about it at least bitch about it in cases where it actually is worth it. I'm actually pretty glad they zoomed it in a bit considering it would've been awkward walking out of the store with it otherwise, and since it's the same in the artbook they probably didn't change it because somebody was showing some skin. Holy shit. Also, the translation in CP is fine, leagues better than BBCSE. Just because they made one mistake with translations doesn't mean you have to be such a damn otaku about it. And this is far from the first time that an English title has ben slightly changed in US release. Seriously, are you really bitching because they didn't capitalize the entire thing and spaced it out properly? If they changed the title entirely I'd understand, but it's not even close to that. English titled games in Japan are often written like that or horribly butchered anyways, so it's perfectly normal for them to fix it up. Seriously, quit being such a whiny brat.

Most audiences can forgive poor visuals, but they cannot forgive poor sound quality. It is the easiest way in which a player's immersion is broken which is more than a little "nitpick". And there's only a few typos here or there, and the only time I've ever seen missing lines or subtitles not matching dialogue was one cinematic and nothing more. Yeah they shouldn't be proud of it, but to say they should be ashamed is just idiotic. You're all acting like this is a Lux-Pain level translation blunder when in reality there's barely any problems. I dunno how attentively you've followed Arcade or Story Mode, but I'm not even done with either and I've already seen more than a "few" of the errors I mentioned. And my irritation at it isn't because I believe every game should be handled perfectly. No, my issue is the fact that, unlike with Extend, it took them 6 months to bring this out going so far as to remove the Encyclopedia/Glossary section away and it STILL has such blatant, amateur mistakes. Extend was a rushed project and even though I don't praise its localization I could understand why it had been poor. But CP had more time, has less things to translate from the Japanese version so ergo it has no justifiable excuse for it. Added, it is 2014 already. You're charging people full retail price (and even more in the case of the LE Box) and you can't even bother to click on the F7 button?

Following what is probably ARC SYSTEM WORKS's logic, what better way to sell a game than by slapping cute characters on the front? That alone has caused me to make a few purchases. Besides, that artwork is only on the LE, which you have to pay extra for, so it's not like you're stuck with it, you can just buy the regular edition game, or remove the cover if you didn't like it.

No one died. It's the other way around. Censor ship has been getting better. Back in the 80's and 90's it was much worse. As far as the translating goes, it's because of Arcsys. A company called Aksys localized the first two games. Arcsys handled Extend and Chronophantasm. As far as I know, Arcsys has never been good at translating. For instance, Accent Core +. Until the +R patch, the special move names were in Japanese Characters.
