Thanks!

Does anyone remember how long the gap between CS2's arcade release and console release were? Or Extend's? I'm guessing this isn't gonna take as long as CP1, since they already have most of the console content done.

It's usually six months from arcade to console and then another six months from JP to US.

Damn that means even JP CP2.0 won't be out in time for SoCal Regionals.

That's a rather long wait, but at least I'll have P4AU to keep me busy. I have been contemplating on buying BBCP now, but with CP2.0 on the horizon, I want to see how ArcSys handles the releases. I don't want to be in that position of buying CP, getting the CP2.0 patch, only to have ArcSys announce a retail copy of CP Extend.

Extend was only a few months from arcade to console wasn't it?  Or am I remembering it wrong.

Hibiki as a playable character ??? Confirmed?

There's is nothing said about Hibiki being a playable character. The main visual was released today, so there's probably no new character for the 2.0 arcade release.

It was only a joke(?) since Hibiki's voice actor will be a guest at one of the TGS Arc Live streams.

Depends; If they really DO release this as a CS2-style release, there shouldn't be so much lag between JP and US.  There's hardly any localization that needs to get done there.

Just wait till console release. He'll be playable, I just know it.

Dude, I love Jubei about as much as anyone, and i'm not even holding my breath for Jubei (which is why I use it for an example of me only getting the game if it uses that changelist if Jubei is added, because it's guaranteed not to happen). So, why are you expecting him so hard?

I honestly don't really care who gets in or not. I just want more than 2 new characters and Hibiki seems like the most logical choice to me.

Honestly, IMHO They need to STOP adding characters. Enough is enough.

Jubei and Nine can show up for the next 'real' game in the series, and that's IT. DONE. NO MORE.

Considering the Marvel vs Capcoms of the world, I think Arc does one heck of a job with balance.

It's just not that bad guys.

Yeah, but Capcom just plain doesn't give a shit about balance for MvC, that game is just a professionally-funded kusoge. ArcSys actually does care for Blazblue's balance, they're just completely incompetent at it.

Extend seemed pretty alright. Not too many MUs went so far tilted as 7:3.

CP they added a couple new mechanics and completely overhauled the Combo system, favoring time based combos instead of proration based ones. They also added 7 characters and rehashed the existing ones. For all of that CP1.0 remained pretty well balanced. Even vs Koko, the most notable balance error we've had in a while, everyone could still win, which is more than a lot of other games can say when talking about high tiers. While 1.1 did make some questionable decisions (Makoto and Tager nerfs, Azrael Buffs) The tiers certainly did get closer, showing they do have a sense of how to balance a game.

I have renewed faith in their competence because it looks like they nerfed the living daylights out of ODraid's recovery and time in the next edition. We'll have to see where they take it.

Add nine and give her basketball infinites please. Then I can quit this game in peace.

You know if you could quit, you would have done it by now. Face the truth, we're all tsundere for this game. It's why we keep coming back.

This is getting sigged.

I don't know whether I should feel lucky or saddened that Azrael only got a few nerfs compared to everyone else.

On the one hand, my character is still pretty good. On the other, certain matchups won't be as fun or challenging.
