I will enjoy your saltiness when you fail.

If it fails I'll learn Kune just for you.

You have notes on players? Is it like a database or something?

We played back in CSE? Well my apologies then for any bad sportsmanship on my part.

Ā

In CS it was very detailed - player habits and propensities (wake up Ā DPS, DDs, mashy, respectful of wake up, clutch, high dmg, extremely dangerous etc)Ā

Ā

behaviors and such... like if they are Ā ragey or hate on mu-12, kick after losing, good sports, friendly... etc

You still do it in CP? If it helps improve your play I'm thinking about trying this. It would mean breaking my record of how long I can go without holding a pen though.

I keep "notes" but it's just what I keep in my head.

Same here. I just remember notable players (good and bad).

Well, I remember specific habits and things they do. I just don't write them down.

It's actually easier for me to forget if I write it down. There's been an observation made that our memories have gotten worse when dealing with trivia and knowledge in the Google age because we can just look it all up now. Your mind adjusts to the fact that something else is keeping track of it and uses that space for other things. For instance, I still remember my friends' home phone numbers from when I was a kid and had to memorize them before we all had smart phones, but I blank on any of the numbers I have now. You make the mental connection so many times it becomes a kind of muscle memory.

-you need to do this-. this is basically required for higher level play.

Ā

you've probably already compiled a sizable amount of data already in that mind of yours, subconsiously drawing on it in your time of need versus a specific player, character, or situation.

Ā

it is something you, everyone in here should acknowledge and be aware of in matches. if you need to write down your findings so that you may recall them better, it is definitely a boon if you do so.

I'm starting to write down findings that make me lose, like the dumb things i do:
Jump too much, DP too much, repeating the same patterns in an obvious way (too much IAD j.D crossup), things like that, and pull it up when I start playing, hopefully that helps.

Ā

Anyone wanna play, preferably someone i've played before.

Apologies to the Bullet I fought last night if my leaving after the first match I won made you salty.

Ā

True facts: The first 5 games were NOT being played seriously: DP on wakeup EVERY TIME from me! It still took me a couple to get an honest win once I started trying though. Good games!

I know I've memorized some details on good players that I play frequently and I definitely know my own habits and errors. I feel like writing them down would help solidify and complete what's already in my mind. Guess I have something to try out when I play later today.

Mac Chaos : Serene Mind~Intense Mind aware

Ā

Avoid this player unless you can manage both energized states fully

These fights require very high mental fortitude, snap judgement, Origins reaction, and demand the highest multifaceted approaches possibleĀ

Ā

Beware landing 3c's and be ready to clash war with them - he usually only double taps so 5c cancel the second clash

Heavy stein cover fire rush ins are extremely dangerous and will likely result in being counter-grabbed unavoidably - recommend a feinting dash in with pseudo stein cover

Ā

At all costs avoid the corner of the screen, even at midscreen continue to opt for cross unders and dash overs - drop combos in order to do this

Ā

Oki is not recommended he will catch meaties and possibly late firing steins and totsuka rendering it useless - opt for throws and 5c follow upĀ

Ā

After throw reject : This is happening more often and he is adapting to the 5c response with 5d - use level 2 sword of decimation to counter his adaptation

After throw reject : He's adapting the the lvl 2 SoD with a delayed 5d - Fully charge SoD to respond

After throw reject : He watches for SoD now - rush in 3c

After throw reject : Aggressive options no longer viable - IABD

Ā

in corner : tech immediately but be aware of invisible throws, the best option is to try to IB a few attacks and jump air dash out - if unable to, die and start thinking about next round

Ā

The longer the fight goes on the higher his chances are of recognizing your patterns

Ā

Ā

Traits

Ā

High Damage Danger

Moderate blocking ability is compensated with very high Drive proficiencyĀ

Understands Stein firing rates and placement

Immune to established oki

Throw resistant

Overhead resistant

Psychological Dmg resistant

Ā

Primary Stylistic win requirements

Ā

Heavy Stein usage in neutral not recommendedĀ

High mobility required

Eschew blocking in favor of evasion

Dont mash ever

Refrain from autopilot "anything"

Cycle through tech and style abnormally

Small damaging attacks and AntiAir combos

Ā

Ā

Primary Trait : Cascading adaptations

This player may not seem dangerous at first, or even in the first 20 or so games but he will adapt to your gameplay and punish you for anything you do repeatably - usually with great success. Unlike the majority of player encounters he remembers tech and play style extremely effectively.Ā
