Speakeasy Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 I didn't know they're the same person, but I also don't follow pro players, and I especially don't follow them for an unreleased game I can't play yet. Is Damosu/Ta really the only noteworthy player showing up in videos?

Is Damosu/Ta really the only noteworthy player showing up in videos? Kyo no Antorume is also notable, but he's not at Damosu/Ta's level. He doesn't really understand how to play her neutral game yet (though Damosu is still getting used to that) and his pressure is kind of lacking. He had some combos, though.
Elochai Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 As for actual discussion...does anyone have any ideas based on what we know about Liz at this point? I have some things I want to point out later this week (or maybe next week) based on some things we can probably make use of in the new game that we aren't seeing much of at this point. To be totally honest, I just wanna know about Randomizer. I think I have a general idea of what Liz does in this version, but I've never seen this move at all (besides that one glitch video). Is it seriously that bad? I swear there were setups in the loketests, too .

I honestly have no idea why we don't see it.
Luminos564 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Okay, this has gone on long enough. Do you guys STILL not know that Damosu and Ta are the same person? If so, I'm pretty entertained at the moment. I didn't know. Then again, I only know a few names and who they play in P4U2. I kinda doubt it's that bad. I just think they don't understand it and/or don't want to risk using it and throwing away rounds??? I honestly have no idea why we don't see it. Maybe it cannot really be comboed from? I mean, I know someone mentioned that we COULD combo from it but that the timing is exceedingly strict and the damage not all that big. Or maybe the resulting Negative Penalty doesn't last long enough to take advantage of it. Or maybe it is the unconventional charge input. Maybe even a combination of all 3. It sucks since I was hoping Randomizer could be something very valuable to her. Turns out nobody bothers with it.
shoryusatsu999 Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 That may be because there's no one TO bother with it yet. Who knows? Maybe it's a gamebreaker.
Dazardz Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 6 > 4? Not 4 > 6? Wait so you have to hold 6, and then 4, leaving yourself wide open to do Randomizer. There better be setups.
TD Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 could be, but l wouldn't count on them being reliable. it is a counter move, after all.
Elochai Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 The only way I can see [6]4 being a counter is if you charge while in hitstun and then let go as you tech. I was under the impression that the move could be comboed into. If that's the case, I'd image it to be like 2D; a move you just use for a status ailment at the end of (or, rarely in the middle of) combos. For some reason, I've always imagined 2C > [6]4A combo ender in the corner. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
Luminos564 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 (edited) Eh, I always figured you could do this by playing off of our awful Shuffle Time FA. Activate Shuffle Time, hold [6] as you're doing it and then after they either jump over or tech it, press 4 for either version since it is doubtful they will run up and grab you after either action. Or does Randomizer/Debilitate work on throws? I'm afraid I dunno the details considering NOBODY uses the thing . Also keep in mind, Radomizer/Debilitate will also trigger if the card that Lizzie tosses out is hit (or maybe if it hits the opponent), not just if Lizzie takes the hit. Who knows? Maybe it's a gamebreaker. Well it WAS a "gamebreaker", quite literally so, back when it could glitch the opponent out of existence after an SB Maragidyne . Edited February 25, 2014 by Luminos564
GBAer64 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 So wait how do you even inflict the Randomizer?,? Is the way it's used like shuffle time where it's basically a counter? Or is it actually something different (Which I hope it's the latter since it'd be useless if that's literally the input for it...)? The only thing I honestly know is that Randomizer forces negative penalty and that it makes wonderful glitches. '3'
OmnixTSC Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 If Randomizer does work on throws, you could probably mind-game people with it during your stagger pressure. Then they have lows, a high with hop cancels and 2B > OMC, a grab, and the potential Randomizer to worry about.
Dazardz Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 If you do end up using Randomizer in stagger pressure, wouldn't that be really risky? I don't like to play with risks unless my health is seriously low. Am I missing something? And I don't know if you can charge 6 long enough during stagger pressure when your constantly doing wave-dashes. (I could be wrong.)
GBAer64 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Mind game? Like how our 5C works? Speaking of which does 5C still work like it used to back then? It looks... different from before but I can't tell in what way...
Elochai Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Well 5C has dash cancel in this game. Unless you mean something different.
Luminos564 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Well 5C has dash cancel in this game. Unless you mean something different. I'm thinking he's noticing the subtler changes to 5C under the 1-Handed Sword Master (2C) buff. Doesn't it get special properties when Lizzie has the buff active?
Lynette Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Yes, I don't know if people noticed but 5C can cause float with Thanny's 1-Hand Sword Master buff, so it probably means that you can just go directly 5B>5C>2C etc instead of Sweep>SB Magarudyne Etc.
Zephyrion22 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Yes, I don't know if people noticed but 5C can cause float with Thanny's 1-Hand Sword Master buff, so it probably means that you can just go directly 5B>5C>2C etc instead of Sweep>SB Magarudyne Etc. I wouldn't be so sure about that, since only the second hit floats the opponent. either the timing for 2C must be right on spot,or it is just impossible, and we would have to go into A Bufu route
Lynette Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Still 5C float is good, what did you say that was different from what I said? there have been combos with buffed 5C>2C>B Bufu and so on, and like I said probably, so it's hard to say at this point unless we have something concrete
Dazardz Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Elochai uploaded more videos yay!!! Except they have nothing incredibly interesting. Awww. So, from what I can tell: Liz got bodied by P-Sho. That Liz beat up Shabrys when the Shabrys player obviously had something wrong going on/bad stick or whatever was going on. Lol I don't even know what happened in the Teddie match, I was watching Teddie, and I hate Teddie.
Elochai Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 (edited) This has been the case for the majority of Elizabeth match videos so far, lol. The Liz player could've beat the Sho player if he realized that teleport was beating Zio every time. Obviously he cannot adapt (or hitconfirm/complete combos). Anyway, Damosu apparently ran a 42 game win streak. Why wasn't that recorded ? I wanna see the high level tech. Edit: It appears to me that Randomizer has guard point (not 100% sure though). If that's the case, I'm wondering if it's possible to do XX > DP in time to avoid being countered. Edited March 5, 2014 by Elochai

Too bad that won't do us any good with something that requires us to hold forward with a character that already has no health. Thanks Arc Sys for making sense! We do appreciate it! ... ...
