I think you guys should try them all out. I'm noticing way too few peeps experimenting and sticking to basic assists (Leafa/Kino/Enju/Touma). Granted, I also see Koko assists used (not to mention Koujou who seems to be really powerful from a glance, but not enough info to tell), but really - the more we know about everything, the better our choices will be.

Particularly, I'd like to see some research done on Erio/Shiina/Tatsuya and the other not-so-used assists. Because all we've had to go on is observational assumptions, without any real work done on everything else (not to mention the amount of people who haven't heard of like, 90% of the roster, only coming in because Akira (*snark*) and Selvaria).

The healing assist ?

Yea, her. She also has a giant wolf paw attack that sends rival airbone but has a bit of startup. I usually use the healing lol

Mashiro seems to get used by a lot of Mikoto players.

I liked Erio in Denpa Onna and i was trying to use her in casual play with my friend.

Her attack assist (forward + X) is a prettttty slow "dash"/trip/slide that hits low at about 3/4's screen length.  I cant really think of any good way to use it except for a distraction lol.

Her neutral assist has her come out to about 3/4 screen and hilariously jump around in her futon.  It seems to block all attacks but it takes a while to activate.  Use this if your opponent is easily amused!

Both of her assists can be knocked away pretty easily though. :S

I see. Any info on the following assists: Tatsuya Shiba and Sadao Mao?

Though tbh, I don't know why I'm so eager to help out with this. It's just going to get discarded for Xrd soon anyways. Just like almost every other animu fighter (especially this one - it's got too many things that Pro-FGC, anti-anime peeps hate the living fuck out of).

This is a stupid question but I forgot how recording works. I know how to record but I dont know how to play it, can anyone help? Trying to test stuff.

Play recorded matches are done under the "Special" menu for some reason. Or was it input recording in training you meant?

For Tatsuya I havent used him, but it looks like one assist is a shot to the feet that freezes or roots them?  His other one seems to be a debuff or a skill seal (I'm not sure at all).

I used Mao a couple times but Setsuna's 2nd post on the first page says this:

Normal: Moves forward and punches the opponent

Demon: Takes his demon form wearing only underpants and appears in the air before the player. Swings his fist and shoots a beam from it.

Normal: Moves forward to punch the opponent

Demon: Appears in the same place as in 5S move. Uses his sword to slice the opponent.

After hitting twice with his moves, during the third move he'll appear as Demon Maou and do a different kind of move. Count resets between rounds.

In the span of 1 round I wasnt able to connect with the first 2 required punches to activated the demon form ones which i'm guessing is much better.  Seems like a lot of work though.  IMO one of his assists should have been a swing from his MgRonalds mop/broom, lol.

Once you record the action go to page 3 & then the enemy actions with the standing, jumping, crouching, etc. and then switch it to dummy playback and press out of pause menu again.

I initially figured this out but then forgot it myself hahah but yeah just remember page 3 first option.

I didn't know what to expect of this game, but I tried it today and it is incredibly fast. We really really like it, I'm actually impressed, it is kind of simple but it is very well done. It is a very solid fighter, lacking cast but very very fun and hype. Nice work from FB and Sega there! I'm gonna play this a lot, lol. Can't wait for my copy to arrive D:

So far I am at least entertained. Clashing in this game is really really really stupid so far and I can feel the glaring weaknesses of certain characters, but I am having a ton of fun. Very simple, straightforward, and no stupid amounts of damage even with max resource spending. Going to do as much as I can to fill out the wiki, starting with my main if I get access to the wiki.

I don't know. I most likely don't have as much experience as a lot of others on this, but it feels like clashing just happens a billion times more often in this game. Maybe the active frames of certain moves or something. Again, it could just be me.

Probably just people mashing A+B. You can definitely react to them and counter A+B, though. Or raw super them.

I'm not sure what Tatsuya's 6S is when he shoots downward, but his netural S emits waves from his hands, then when he gets attacked the opponent can't attack as long as he's on screeen. It was pretty fun locking guys down with that online.

I've seen a Taiga player using Mashiro as a assist. He would hit the oppenent with the sled in the air, then they would land on top of Mashiro and get locked down by all the cats

been in the lab with Shizuo, Over all I liek how the game feels. Its pretty straight foward with some stuff to explore (namly assisst).

I really digging shizuo but I can see why he's weak for the time being. He's different but not exactaly bad, just have to deal with alot of compromises. the worst is being how difficult it is for him to get a HKD
