If they truly wanted to give Ragna a crossup they should have given him a move like order sols gunblaze.

Anyway it really bothers me that they removed the gatlings from 6b, Ragnas 6b is already a pretty terrible overhead that is blocked pretty easiliy and in CP it also leads to pretty shitty damage, its completly unfair IMO.

You guys make it sound like Ragna went from best to worst. He went from S to A. He's still above average.

Tsubaki went from B to B. Just as there are eternal high tiers, like Hazama Valk etc, there are eternal low tiers.:vbang:

According to Jiyuna he is B tier now not A

I realize Jiyunas tier lists have not much credibility, but still I feel like I had to post this

It's more like he went from being a fun character with fun options to getting a lot of nerfs that lead to less options (which leads to more boring play).

This. Although i wouldn't say that ragna was previously fun, as he got so boring, so quickly....But CP just takes the piss. Combos are boring, mix-up is lacking, options are limited.

I'll ban anyone that says Blood Scythe is interesting because it's not.

This. Blood scythe is a poor attempt at making ragna look cool when he really isn't, anymore. I don't know about anyone else, but i think the ground version is completely useless, and TK version is only good for combo potential, of which the variation in combos isn't big anyway. Other people's new moves change their style of play slightly, or adds a fun factor, even if minutely, for example:

Jin: HIZANGEKI

Tsubaki: Command grab

Hakumen: Agito > Mix-up

etc.

This is an example of the few things that's going to happen to those that think to spam BS, or to even use it as a blockstring option against the more based/competent players.

Takes little to no effort to be able to react to BS. Players might as well jump and try to poke out anyway, because Ragna ain't getting shit of that fatal air hit if he beats you, even if Rapid.

I could go on about how i don't like ragna's changes and how he has become even more hella boring, so i'll stop here. It's something we just have to deal with, sadly. Other characters have had their fair share of nerfs throughout the series...although that isn't saying much, because Ragnas CP changes/nerfs are just stupid IMHO...they are not even sensible nerfs if you ask me.

But as i said, we just have to firm it tbh.

Imo, Ragna was never about mix-ups and yes good ranged moves into nice damage. He may not have one of the best mixups around, but alot of things he has makes up for that.

A balanced character that exceeds at nothing.

I dunno guys, even with all of the nerfs and changes, Ragna still looks hella fun to use and it just means we actually have to try and earn our victories now rather than use one BnB and do 5k worth of damage.

The only time posts are smart here is when we're actually discussing uses for our tools and possible combo paths rather than just saying things are boring.

Jiyuna's lists are just from jbbs. Which have been showing Ragna at A for quite a while now.

Altho recently they've just been talking about just basing the tier list off results. That is, the tier list based on the dan ranking of the top players.

Which puts Ragna in S/A+ which is why some people are objecting to that method...

ed: lol is there actually a new one? I'll have to look when I get home.. but there are so many of em it's jsut a matter of which one you post.

Actually Ragna can go into 2D from 5C, so it's technically a high/low. If he has meter he can get a pretty decent combo off of 2D RC or GH RC. I think people really underestimate GH and 2D starters. I mean, when does Ragna NOT have meter?

In CP with nerfed meter gain. Max range 5C will have 2D whiff.

How nerfed is meter gain anyway? I haven't been paying much attention to meter in all the match videos. Does this mean Hazama won't be able to houtenjin and gain back 50 meter all in one combo, or did he just 2DD through the fabric of reality and dodge yet another nerf?

Hazama still gains a ridiculous amount of meter. Hakumen does too but mostly because his OD is stupid and his passive meter gain got buffed. Meter gain for everyone was nerfed across the board. A big meterless combo for Ragna in EX gained 40-50 meter, but now it probably gains about half that.

So I'm assuming this means the heat gain from Tsuika got nerfed too then?

Tsukika's meter gain is the same. How the new system works is that meter gain scales along with the rest of the combo, so at the very end you're gaining 0-1 meter per hit.

I don't mind having less meter in the game. I mean, the whole point of RCs and such is they provide a resource management aspect to the game. What's the point if you always have heat whenever you need it. This way you have more choices to make about what you use it for.

BKI DbD does way more hits than it used to. Seems to still have the old 1500 Min damage though, which is fine.
