I've seen a few combos that use CT in it, but they don't seem practical or optimal. Not really a fan of the Crush Trigger system, but it's better than primers. lol

Most CT's have like 1000 base damage and 100p2, so nutcrushing starters usually put them to good use.

It seems every new guard break system has its share of drawbacks. I wonder which one is the best overall that BB used. Primers, guard libra, or crush triggers.

5D(1) > 236D works on fatal (albeit it's dependent on opponent height), so if that does work we can probably get some good fatal combos going

of course we have 6C > CT so in most cases there's not going to be much use for 5D(1) > CT

Well, also remember that our punish fatal launches, so it'd have a use there?

doubt its optimized, but 6C immediate 6D produces the height for air BS > 22C(as expected), on stream hara did

6C 6D j214D 22C 236D 2C 5C SJ jC j214C 5C 5D 623D~236C~214D for just a bit over 4k.

also 2c slight delay 5c post ds is the new thing? it prorates sorta well, right?

you don't even need the 6D. macchi's done 5C/2C > 6A > TK BS > 22C many times before, so i'm guessing if you delay BS enough (or maybe not), you can do it straight after 6C.

to be honest i don't even know why people are still using 6D in their combos

So far it looks like the lifesteal proration has been worse, and there's been not a lot of use of Drive moves so far. No use of Devoured by Darkness either.

Not really, just answering his question. I thought it was a cool idea since CT, but they've nerfed it after, which a good thing, but having the option to get some life back because Ragna bleeds too easy and somehow most Ragna players not playing smart is nice to have.

It would be kind of interesting if they made life steal have a bigger part, and then characters like Hakumen could negate it (since he always mentions his wounds won't stop bleeding against him).

I wonder why they nerfed the life gain in the first place.

I don't think anyone did. Lifesteal has never been worth it in previous games.

In CP all his lifesteal normals except 2D have very bad P2s, which makes me think ArcSys wants to add an extra element to Ragna's gameplan: to choose between damage or lifesteal. But his lifesteal still sucks.

If a normal lifesteal combo regained like 2k health then I'd be interested.

A player I know who's been in Japan said that Ragna's lifesteal has been buffed, which makes a lot of sense to me if they want to make drive move combos do so much less damage.

Btw, Ragna can lifesteal about 900-1000 health off a corner combo in EX so him having the capability to lifesteal about 1500 now wouldn't surprise me. But I'm just saying that, I have no proof that it's been changed at all.
