How does Blood Scythe look as a 6D replacement.

It might work considering since BS looks like it's only a little slower (if not the same speed) as 6D. Plus it hits overhead, and gives ridiculous plus frames.

The animation is less subtle though, so 6D will still have it's uses.

On an entirely different train of thought, anyone know how long people are in counter hit state after blocked bursts (if they are at all? I can't remember)

characters are in CH state until the end of the burst animation. if done in the air, it's until the character enters their falling sprite.

however, it's mostly irrelevant as the invincibility overlaps a lot of CH state

I was just thinking DID might be fast enough to fatal people when we bait their bursts. It'd be fun.

Still, adding a TK BS somewhere would just up the damage to... 3.2k? Old 6D would grant us at least 4k :o

I know it's too early to talk about optimized combos, but that thing scaled rather badly.

Humm...it was a CH. He could have probably done 6D>J.D(Whiff)>5D(1)>214A>5B>5D(1)214B>214D>6A>J.214D>5B>5C(does it combos in CP? I heard 5C's vertical hitbox got nerfed)>Jc>J.C>jc>J.C>214C>5D(2)>623D~

Don't know, could have worked. I just know he could have gotten more than just 2.8K now that I look at it.

5B > 5C after TK BS does combo, at least on some characters. I've seen it done in videos, as well as after Hell's Fang.

Jiyuna did tweet something about 6D a day or two ago. Two lazy to dig through his tweets, but the tweet pretty much confirms that big damage off of 6D CH isn't that great due to 6D's P1 proration being not so good now.

EDIT: Found the tweet. This is what it said: "6D > jD(whiff) > 5B > 5D(1) > HF(1) > 5B > 5C ~ Air/BE combois decent. Can get corner carry from midscreen. Damage nerfed from EX".

TK BS is unsafe on block.

Stand BS resets pressure but seems easy to react to. And even if you get countered by it midair, Rags can't combo afterwards.

Can still be used to perform acrobatics, like BS'ing over Deadspikes and other projectiles... maybe...

It would seem Bloodscythe is a very divisive move. From what I've been reading, it's either regarded as a shitty move for Ragna given all of his nerfs, or something decent despite them.

...I....I'm gonna wait and see.
