Errol Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 lol it was a tie, and goro is gdlk I'm trying to fit in here
-Kid Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) Well I didn't say they were good matches. I wasn't taking a stab at you at all for posting that match. I was just basically saying "Oh yeah i remember seeing these vids, made me wonder wtf Kaqn was doing lol" Can't even win consistently against a scrub makoto. Goro is good kaqn for sole remaining ragna hero Shachou (Blue) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgeUvWapo7I&t=3m30s Edited January 18, 2013 by -Kid
Tong Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) Time to learn IAD DID setups, guys Edited January 19, 2013 by Tong
Elochai Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I was never, ever able to do IAD 623D. It's so awkward to pull off (then again, I have bad execution).
SolheartStud Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Hara and Buppa don't seem to be doing bad with him either. I'd say Ragna is pretty solid this time around. Maybe even just a little bit higher than that. His damage is just not as derpy as it was in the last game.
TheBossGiga Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Goro is good I'm sure errol was poking fun at the fact that most rag mains really like to downplay kaqn and the people he plays.
MashThat5A Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I don't. I remember the fact that he works in the arcade and gets to select which matches he uploads.
LuminAbyss Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I wish I could see more TK Bloodscythe used in pressure. I have a feeling that shit is gonna be good.
VR-Raiden Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Lame...so new move is combo-only material again? Reminds me of BE (outside of AA punishes or whatever other rare occasion) I was never, ever able to do IAD 623D. It's so awkward to pull off (then again, I have bad execution).Same for me. I could only do it if I was 100% focused on it, never really practiced it. Probably finally will now though.
Cheefoo Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Lame...so new move is combo-only material again? Reminds me of BE (outside of AA punishes or whatever other rare occasion) Same for me. Only reason they mentioned TK scythe is because it starts up faster, but I guess that's all it has over the ground version. That being said, ground blood scythe seems really good for pressure and I see it used pretty often. If you're too predictable, it'll probably get you anti-aired though.
Tong Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Darn thing is too slow... I dont even know how we're supposed to FC with that lol
KayEff Posted January 19, 2013 Author Posted January 19, 2013 use it against nu spike chaser other possibilities might include nu's legacy edge, ragna's dead spike, jin's 623D(2), mu's 6C, any of litchi's [m] footsies (unlikely), carl's volante, hakumen's fullscreen shippuu (it happens), plat's missiles (maybe just using it to get out or something), and amane's top
mAc Chaos Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 tick 2A > blood scythe run up blood scythe to avoid haku 3C and possibly 4C and 6C use it to make counters whiff
LuminAbyss Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 TK is minus on block. But safe, and can cross up.
Lucalibur Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 But safe, and can cross up. What would you jump cancel it from though?
Fluck Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I'm sure errol was poking fun at the fact that most rag mains really like to downplay kaqn and the people he plays. Notice how during one of the matches Goro suddenly appears with an 8-win streak. I'm not saying Kaqn didn't hold his own against Goro in the matches shown, but it's not a good idea to draw very definite conclusions from only the matches that were uploaded.
-Kid Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I can see TK BS being useful in pressure to catch out mashing, depending on the character, and what their mashing obviously. I don't think i'd be using BS much in pressure anyway, although it's plus on block, it's so slow and seems easy to react to with an air grab or anti-air. Expect to be hit out of it a lot against the more agile players. I see people throwing out BS so much as if it has a 1F start up and is +9000 on block.
-Seo Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I'd use it alot too, considering no one seems to ever bother trying to anti-air it. Everyone seems comfortable just up-backing against it instead.
TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 TK BS will be another Ragna special in that it will be several times better when you have meter to RC it. Basically an easy mode cross up in contrast to IAD DID. RC for combo or further mixup shenanigans.
Tong Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Ambiguous crossups looks legit however... Too bad you can't combo off raw BS
MashThat5A Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Let me fix that. From what I've seen, TK BS looks punishable. It seems to be only regular BS that's safe.
skd Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 can max range jC bs hit same side? either that could serve as mixup, or maybe there could be left right mixup between blood scythe and gh cancel haha Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
