Warhound Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Apparently the 2.0 changes reception by players has been quite negative. I mean let's hope the 10 percent of changes are good. However I feel that that the big mark able thing for 2.0 is Celica. Celica seems to be the best character by far in 2.0. I can't imagine people are just going to let ArcSys just sit on 2.0 quietly then.

Generally in corners if you are going for an OKi u usually end it with 2D B then A orb or B Orb. However if they made it special cancelable, using a distortion after 2D B would be pretty sick! 2DB is special cancelable.
MikelAL93 Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Its a good change to see that 2D~B can now be special canceled, it makes things easier now that there's another way to combo off of it instead of just rapid canceling to 6C after the first hit like you usually would.

No idea if this is a change they'll make, but being able to cancel multi hitting drive moves on the first hit could be nice. Sorry to get your hopes up.

However needing meter for that could be kinda tough. 2D A - 6D Was a pretty good meter builder. Hmmm Kag is still in the tombstone XD

Wyvern having less pushback and possibly added vacuum on block which can lead into command grab as shown in the demonstration seems super scary.

Now you have to spend 25 heat to get what you could get for free ( perhaps more but still ) whereas before if you spend heat for CT you got a lot more damage. Beside I personally don't see too much use in B orb as of 2.0 but that's just an opinion. Canceling drives into (4)1236 is fine I guess. Kagura can now actually run and there is 6DC -> 5DB BUT we still don't know nothing about bounce on 2DA and 6DA still doesn't look like anything useful ( now it's not even combo fodder anymore ) so my guess is that, knowing ASW, it will be another trade-off rather than buff.

You can probably do: 5b > 3c > 6d c > 2d c > CT > 2c > 5c > 6d c > 2d a > 5d (2)8 d. (Sorry didn't use caps, kinda lazy atm. Lol.) Now this is all dependent on meter mind you, with a tad bit of speculation lol. Hopefully the trade off of b orb nets us speedier meter gain in order to utilize the CT cancel at the right moment. Haha!

I only hope it hits twice when it is close and have some untech time (not like A orb were in 1.1) A orb used to be an amazing combo tool in the corner. If so, we should be able to connect it with 6B, not 2C but it is something. I heard and saw that they only the buffs when they nerf a lot of characters. That stream just showed me how weird some chars look now.
Angry Guy of DE Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Venom had two charge moves, Stinger Aim ([4]6 S or H) and Caracass Raid ([2]8 S or H) and both could be charged. His other moves weren't charge moves but he did have charge moves. I'm referring to holding the button during the startup animation so that by holding it through the animation you would get the current B orb instead of the 2.0 one. At close range the B orb only does two hits and seems to have little in the way of untech time. Also having Kagura needing to use 25 heat to do any real corner combo is nonsense when most of the cast choose to spend the 25 meter to extend a corner combo for optimal damage, Kagura has to spend it to just do a corner combo. Just allowing him to have two version of B orb would make him more flexible and still potentially have the oki he's known (and somewhat hated?) for.

You just have to change and adjust some drives moves and you will still be able to get a combo without using B orb. However, if you want to spend 25 heat, his damage potential is huge.
