The patch notes via the Arc System Works' website have been kindly translated by Dustloop member Suzaku and shared here with us.

Most notably, Arc Sys states that all previous bugs in the AC+ version of the game have been addressed (ie: Eddie Glitch, Random Music Glitch, Missing songs, ect...) and that the team will continue to update the game and correct any glitches/bugs which may arise in the future. Secondly, there seems to be no official mention of any improvement/tweaking of the existing netcode, so the quality of online play in this build is subject to information and testing gathered upon release.

The rest of the official change notes are as follows:

Major Points

Addition of latest game tuning version – Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R, currently available in arcades, along with its game tuning version are added. Check below for details.
Usability Improvements – Operability and usability improvements have been implemented. Check below for details.
Cumulative Bug Fix – Bugs confirmed since release have been fixed.

Game Version “AC+R” Added Contents

Ranked Match – Addition of Kliff and Justice – When the game version is set to AC+R, Kliff and Justice are playable as standard characters.
Player Match – Kliff and Justice Usable – When the game version is set to AC+R, Kliff and Justice can be used in all sessions (rooms).
Ranking – Addition of AC+R version scoreboard – In the ranking boards, AC+R only rankings have been added. The boards of the previous version also remain available.

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +R and Xrd News

By Guest, in Home,

First and foremost, GGXXAC+R is confirmed as a free update to AC+, to be released this month. Unfortunately, it looks like the XBL version has fallen behind and will be updated slightly later.

Secondly, a bunch of Xrd System Information and Character Information has been shared. Translations of this information are available on our forums (courtesy Suzaku, etc.), and also on SRK (courtesy iantothemax). A short version of this information follows.

So what's new in GGXrd?

Guard Gauge replaced with "R.I.S.C." Level. Functions almost identically to the Guard Gauge (including forced counter hits), but doesn't go below its baseline.
Dusts now have two follow-up options: homing jump (up) or ground dash (forward).
Using a Roman Cancel during a projectile's recovery slows down time while allowing you to move freely, enabling combos even from a distance. Same meter cost.
Clashing: Two Lights clash normally, Heavies > Lights and causes a reeling knockback, and two Heavies create a "Danger Time" scenario - hitting the opponent in Danger Time forces a "super" counter hit.

What isn't new in Xrd?
The following mechanics all work the same as they do in AC, or at least similarly, except where noted elsewhere:
button layout
double jumps
superjumps
airdashes
tension
bursts
negative penalty
sweeps
gatlings
throws
overdrives
teching
faultless defense
dead angle attacks
roman cancels.

What's missing?

[*] Slashback
[*] Force Breaks
[*] Throw teching(?)
[*] FRCs

Ever since the release of the first intro trailer a few months back after Arc Revo, Guilty Gear fans have been thirsty for some -or any- new information regarding the next entry into the prestigious series, Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-. Today we may get more than what we bargained for.

In a candid interview with Famistsu and translated by the folks over at Polygon, Arc System Works' President Minoru Kidooka not only discusses a bit of history with the company; from its initial infant days to current, including following the lead of innovators such as Toshimichi Mori and Ishiwatari Daisuke, but also plans for the company moving forward from the release of BlazBlue CP this fall into 2014 with the 'hopeful' release of Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- as a next generation title. This in itself makes for a great read so be sure to check it out!

As if that wasn't enough, news out of Famitsu and confirmed by Arc System Works' website tell of Xrd's first Location test, which will be held from August 9th to the 12th on the fourth floor of the Sega Akihabara Building! Series Director and legend in his own name Ishiwatari Daisuke and Pachi will be on hand 10:00 - 10:30 on the 9th to kick off the festivities!

In the meantime, get your eyes wet and watch the reveal trailer all over again!

    • Opinions on Fate haven't changed much it seems... still no one gives a shit about PSP aside from it having netplay and the tiers basically look the same except with Gil only sharing his tier with ZL now that the latter has his full potential properly documented.   The most maintained Fate wiki is now on Mizuumi and is basically a compilation of everything from the wikidot and Japanese atwiki, plus newer developments in recent years: https://mizuumi.wiki/w/Fate_Unlimited_Codes   The Big One 2nd Arcade channels are also the most consistent place to find footage of high level Fate gameplay.
    • There are people who have been playing CS1/2 with emulators. I've yet to try it myself, but it's easy to setup I've been told.
    • Wrote an article compiling the patch notes about Ranked into one page. It should explain some of the more stupid parts of the mode... probably... https://www.dustloop.com/w/User:Frogster88/GBVSR/Ranked
    • Went and tried it on Ky, Axl, Millia, Potemkin after this. Seems like sjiad jP goes right over Millia's head unless I'm messing something up. Combo works the same on the other three. Thought Potemkin would get launched low enough for 4D9 > sjK to connect but doesn't seem like it.   Combo as-is is cS 6H(2) sjiad jPSH cS 2H (mash to 14 hits) > 4DX if you wanna mess with it.
